The Role:
The UI/UX designer will be responsible for producing an effective, visually appealing and intuitive digital experience for our donors. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both UI and UX design, with a strong understanding of user-cantered design principles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to produce user-centric engaging designs for our new website redesign and upcoming mobile application.
Reporting to the Creative and Brand Manager, you will also act as a guardian of our brand identity.
Responsibilities:
· Create high quality, engaging designs for the new website redesign and upcoming new mobile application which will allow us to better communicate and engage with our donors and potential donors. This is a key project for FY24, and will take up most of your time within this role – key tasks to support our digital transformation include but not limited to:
o Produce wireframes, flows, mock ups and prototypes which put the donor at the heart of the journey.
o Iterate designs based on feedback and user testing.
o Ensure consistency and brand integrity across all design elements.
· Collaborate with developers and marketing professionals to deliver designs based on learnings. You will be part of a team of three creatives, headed up by the Creative and Brand Manager.
· Support in conducting user research and testing.
· Support in creation of other creative assets as needed, especially during our busiest period over Ramadan.
· Communicate ideas and designs through storyboards, site maps and process flows.
· Stay up to date with industry trends and new tools.

About you

We are hiring a Senior AI Scientist to support the company in delivering its mission of improving the lives of patients by transforming research into mental illness and dementia. The company is working in this highly innovative area to accelerate the development of new treatments, improve healthcare services, and advance our understanding of complex, debilitating conditions like Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder and Alzheimer’s disease.
To do this, we curate a globally unique dataset of more than 4.6 million patients’ anonymised psychiatric electronic health records (EHRs) for research use. A crucial part of our curation process is the application of AI-enable natural language processing algorithms to structure the free text elements of the EHR (clinical notes, letters, reports etc). Development of these NLP models is the primary focus of our in-house AI team, in which this role sits.
The AI Team are primarily responsible for developing and training the Natural Language Processing models that underpin Akrivia’s data structuring pipeline. The goal of this activity is to develop accurate, clinically valid, explainable, and scalable NLP models to extract new structured data from EHR free-text fields. The AI Team collaborate closely with the Research Team (to match the outputs of their models to research needs), the Engineering Team (to embed their models into Akrivia’s data processing pipeline), and with the Client Engagement team (to help platform users apply their model outputs effectively). The AI Team also carry out exploratory research to develop new applications of AI for improving mental health research and treatment.
The role will require strong technical skills with a focus on artificial intelligence approaches to natural language processing. A successful candidate will work on developing our existing technology solutions, develop novel applications of AI to solve challenges in the mental health space, and support our users in industry, academia and the NHS to apply our AI-derived data for their own research programs. The role would suit candidates with a strong interest in healthcare applications of AI and NLP, and/or explainable, transparent AI methods. Further details of the duties are provided below.
Duties

Lead and manage a team of AI scientists and healthcare data analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their professional development and project execution.

Take joint accountability (with the Head of AI/Research) for the accuracy, clinical validity, transparency and efficiency of models created by the AI team.

Carry out prototyping, exploratory research and literature review to develop novel applications of AI and related technologies to improve the breadth, depth and accuracy of our data structuring pipeline.

Work with the Head of AI/Research to plan the AI Team’s development roadmap, set the strategic direction for AI at Akrivia Health, and communicate these plans to the wider company.

Work with the Research Team to ensure that Akrivia’s data structuring models can best serve research applications.

Work with the Data Engineering team to embed models developed by the AI Team into Akrivia’s automated data processing pipeline.

The British Association for Holistic Medicine and Health Care (BHMA) is a charity, with a small team, dedicated to promoting holism in healthcare. We are a membership organisation that is 40 years old this year and has produced a respected journal for over 20 years.
Role Overview & Aims
We are looking for someone who will drive the BHMA into a new phase of growth. Someone with passion and dedication who will believe in our purpose and help us achieve this. We want to grow our reach and find new members, journal subscribers and people to enrol on our course. We also want to start producing professional webinars and podcasts in the run up to our conference this Autumn. We would also like to streamline the administrative running of the BHMA to make it more efficient and sustainable, whilst growing our income streams.
How we work
The BHMA operates as a remote team however the hub is in the Bath/Bristol area with our AGM & a conference to be held near Bristol in 2024. We have 2-3 evening Zoom meetings per month and our remote administrator works mornings.
You will work from home using your own computer, however occasional face-to-face meetings would be a bonus.
Roles & responsibilities
Main duties:

Liaise with the trustees and attend meetings to provide regular updates on the ‘health’ of the charity and to share your vision for strengthening marketing and operations.

Identify risks and opportunities and work with the Trustees to promote the charity’s vision and implement change.

Governance - ensuring the charity adheres to data protection policies,the requirements of the Charity Commission, and any other legal requirements

Being responsible for all administrative and operational functions of the charity - delegating where appropriate to the administrator/marketing assistant.

Designing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy to primarily build and retain memberships and subscriptions.

Supervising our remote administrator/marketing assistant

About this key role
As Women’s Services Administrator, you will provide vital administrative support to the custody-based team within HMP Peterborough as well as to the wider community-based contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver women’s services in East of England. You will also be expected to monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from National Probation Service through the Customer Approved System (CAS) and ensure all inputting through CAS is accurate and within agreed timescales, while also providing activity reports to the Service Manager on a regular basis.
You will also be counted on to be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal, to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, plus to develop and maintain processes for recording and monitoring resource allocation and to provide administration for meetings as directed by the Team Leader, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking.

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Systems Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent full-time basis.
Our Finance & Legal team are at the heart of all financial decision making and are responsible for all internal and external financial reporting.
The role
As Finance Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for the on-going administration and maintenance of the RSC’s finance systems (including the general ledger, financial planning and analysis tools, banking software and other finance-related applications). You will be involved in improving transaction processing, financial management and reporting (in the context of Finance systems functionality and configuration) on a project basis.
This is an integral role where you will be expected to manage and maintain Finance systems. You will work closely with colleagues in the Finance and Technology teams and with external suppliers to ensure Finance systems remain fit-for-purpose and resilient. You will be responsible for Finance systems training (including training of end users both within and outside the Finance team) and support end users in the resolution of day-to-day Finance processing issues. You will provide Finance input to the design, selection, and implementation of new integrations / future phases of the core NetSuite and Adaptive finance systems.
To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent communicator, proficient in IT and financial ledger systems, and a critical thinker with a desire to learn and adapt to new systems and techniques.
At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role on an ad-hoc basis. What we are looking for:
Essential:
• Experience in maintaining and configuring software systems with a non-technical user base and resolving user queries.

Desirable:
• Direct Oracle NetSuite and/or Workday Adaptive Planning experience.
• A good understanding of double-entry accounting and accounting cycle requirements.
• A good working knowledge of financial ledger systems including purchase to pay and financial planning systems, to complete routine day to day set up and maintenance procedures.
• Experience of liaising with third-party supplier support teams to resolve system queries and implement fixes and new system functionality.
• Ability to develop a clear understanding of the key procedures and requirements of the Finance function, to explain these to colleagues to ensure compliance with systems and reporting requirements and deliver systems related training for end users.
