This is a new and exciting role at Crisis Skylight Birmingham to join a team of experienced and highly skilled staff supporting homeless people move into their own long term sustainable tenancies.

About the role

As Landlord Liaison Coach, you will join our team in Birmingham at an exciting time, delivering an outstanding property procurement service across the private and social rented sector. Working alongside our team of lead worker coaches you will identify appropriate matches of tenants and homes. In addition, you will be managing your own caseload of homeless members and providing advice, guidance and advocacy. It’s a role requiring commercial acumen and creativity as you partner with both social and private landlords to source accommodation for our members. You will work collaboratively with partners and staff across the organisation to ensure tenants receive the support they need to sustain their homes and landlord relationships are nurtured. There is scope for development of the role and plenty of support. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own and shape it from the beginning.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and knowledge:

• Experience of sourcing, procuring, and allocating accommodation and making tenancies work for tenants and landlords
• Knowledge of the Birmingham (and surrounding areas) housing market and the barriers and opportunities faced by people who are homeless
• Experience of working with homeless people and supporting them achieve a positive housing outcome
• Understanding of housing law
• Developing, building, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• Experience of working in a lettings and housing procurement environment
• Managing a caseload of homeless people and working towards case management standards
• Showing resilience when dealing with difficult situations
• A self-starter who can work on their own initiative

The role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations and Resource Manager to play a key role in the smooth running of our cycle training and sustainable travel services. This is a hands-on coordination role at the heart of our charity, supporting our freelance instructor team, operational systems, project delivery and client relationships.

About the role

This is a senior leader role and will play a key role in delivering financial strategy, having oversight of the charity’s finance function, and working with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the charity’s long-term financial security. The role requires excellent accountancy skills, as well as previous experience in overseeing a range of finance functions and managing a team. You will oversee the charity’s financial accounts and reporting; bookkeeping and processing; budget and forecasts; and bank accounts. You will manage a full-time Finance Manager, who has two direct reports and a Senior Finance Officer who oversees tutor and staff payroll. You will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues. You will be willing to learn and have a can-do attitude.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, with significant professional experience across a range of areas within finance. Your work will be accurate, efficient, and transparent, setting the standard within the Finance Team. You will be comfortable working with colleagues across the charity to implement cost controls, and to collect and report on financial data. You will regularly present this data to senior members of staff, including at the quarterly Board of Trustees meetings and the charity’s Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees. You will be an adept project manager, able to coordinate actions, track progress and deliver results, alongside having strong attention to detail and people skills. Candidates for this role should be comfortable working in a busy, efficient and high-performing team.

We are seeking a Supporter Services Administrator to join World Horse Welfare's Fundraising Supporter Services team based at our Head Office in Snetterton, Norfolk on a 12 month fixed-term basis, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

This role is key in providing excellent customer service to the charity’s supporters, processing all charity income efficiently, and maintaining the supporter database to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporter Care & Communication

• Provide high‑quality customer care across all channels, including telephone orders, donations, membership and general enquiries.

• Answer all supporter queries professionally and within agreed timeframes.

• Ensure supporters receive the correct communications in response to their donations.

• Produce timely and accurate thank‑you letters.

Income Processing & Administration

• Browse, create, amend and allocate payments to supporter records using data processing systems.

• Reconcile income with daily income sheets.

• Allocate income and produce daily income reports.

• Take Direct Debits over the telephone in line with DD Scheme legal requirements.

• Administer all charity income paid by Direct Debit.

• Process payments received from third‑party agencies (e.g., JustGiving).

Database & Record Management

• Create and maintain accurate supporter records on the charity’s CRM system.

• Liaise across the charity to ensure all agreed stakeholders are administered effectively and efficiently.

Fundraising Support

• Assist the fundraising team with administration and fulfilment of supporter products, including merchandise sales and the individual giving programme.

General Administration

• Sort and open Head Office post in line with service level agreements and standard operating procedures.

• Undertake other tasks as directed by the Senior Supporter Services Officer.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Comply with World Horse Welfare policies to ensure risks in the working environment are minimised.

• Raise any health and safety concerns with your Line Manager or the charity’s Health & Safety Advisor.

The CDO holds primary responsibility for monitoring and quarterly reporting of the Linkage Plus, Mayors Fund and other community programmes.
