St Barnabas with Christ's Chapel is a large, thriving, inclusive parish at the heart of Dulwich Village. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in a central role that is key to the continued flourishing of our busy parish. This is a reconfigured and expanded role where you would have the opportunity to make a real difference to how we work together and implement our vision and mission priorities. This role is ideal for you if you a hands-on, collaborative, relational, and mission driven Christian professional who can balance operational excellence with a heart for people and community. As Operations Manager you will oversee the parish’s resources: people, buildings, IT, and finances, developing systems and structures that are effective, flexible, and culturally responsive.

PURPOSE:

● To work collaboratively with the Vicar, Wardens, PCC (church council), staff and congregation, supporting St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel as we live out our vision and implement our Mission Action Plan (MAP).

● To help nurture a staff and volunteer culture rooted in mutual respect, honest communication and shared responsibility, supporting healthy rhythms of work and life.

● To be responsible for the management of the parish’s resources of people, buildings, IT, and finances. Developing effective, efficient, and flexible administrative processes, and robust and appropriate structures for leadership, management, and governance (including statutory compliance).

As a leadership role within a Church of England parish, there is an occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a Christian and enthusiastic about the vision and values of St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel.

18 hours per week | £15,210 per annum pro rata (£29,575 FTE) | Fixed term for 5 years, with possibility of extension | 3% pension

Choice in Hackney is a disabled person’s organisation supporting disabled people with independent living services including advocacy, volunteering and training services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to provide administration support to Choice’s staff and services.

We are looking for someone:

1. To provide efficient administrative support across all CHOICE IN HACKNEY projects and services.

2. To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office, reception and administrative systems.

3. To maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems in accordance with organisational policies and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. To provide administrative support to staff, volunteers, and partner organisations.

5. To support monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements for funded projects.

As Head of Initial Training, you will lead a committed training team and play a key role in ensuring that our formation, teaching and equipping enable Evangelists and Pioneers to thrive in a rapidly changing church and mission context. You will bring together theological education, creative teaching, formation and practical mission, ensuring that our training remains both academically robust and deeply rooted in the realities of ministry.

This is a role for someone who is passionate about developing people, confident in leading teams and excited by the possibilities of theological education and digital pedagogy. You will need to be an excellent communicator and teacher, able to inspire others, build strong relationships and lead with both vision and practical focus.

Salary: £47, 467 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week with some weekends and flexibility as required for Training weekends and other relevant requirements.

Pension: Church Army is an auto enrolment pension employer. You will be assessed under pension auto enrolment criteria.

Annual Leave: 25 days, plus Bank Holidays (total 33 days)
