About The Role
We are currently recruiting for two Practice Lead positions. One role will support Local House Projects (LHPs) in the North, while the location and focus of the second role is still to be confirmed.

A little bit about you
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working with young people aged 14-25 and a track record of building trusted relationships with them. You will understand the issues facing care and social work experienced young people, along with the policy landscape shaping children’s social care. You will have practical experience running engagement and facilitation activities, and ideally some familiarity with co-production and youth-led approaches. Background in the social care or youth sector is important, along with solid safeguarding knowledge, and any experience reporting to funders would be a plus.

Brief role description

Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a background in education and/or experience supporting young people to overcome challenges. You will have experience in a customer-focused environment and a track record of delivering to SLAs. We have a 3-year strategy in place to develop alumni engagement, increase participation and embed philanthropy more deeply across the University, with full support of senior leadership across the board. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team and work with senior stakeholders across the University, to champion the role alumni can play in student success, employability, mentoring, partnerships and philanthropy, and develop a lifelong alumni offer.
Reporting in to the Director of DARE, you'll lead a broad portfolio including alumni communications, events, volunteering, individual giving, CRM, data insight and operational delivery.

As our Café Supervisor, you'll play a key role in helping people take their next steps into work in the hospitality industry. Reporting to the Fruitful Café Project Manager, you'll supervise the day-to-day running of the café, support and manage the team, and make sure we continue to deliver a great experience for everyone who visits.
You'll work closely with the Fruitful Development Worker and our café crew to help trainees build their skills, confidence and experience in a real working café. Every day, you'll support up to four trainees as they gain paid work experience in hospitality while serving around 50 customers.
