As the StreetDoctors lead for the Region, you will provide leadership in partnership development, volunteer management, the delivery of training and maintaining quality standards.

Introduction and background
Founded in 2011, the Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) is a UK-wide charity and network of over 130 member organisations, parents, and clinicians dedicated to ensuring all women, birthing people, babies and families impacted by perinatal mental health problems have access to high-quality, compassionate care and support.
The MMHA has recently been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Lottery Community Fund to tackle maternal mental health inequities through community action.
The Maternal Mental Health Councils project will develop, test and replicate a model of community-based decision-making, support and service provision that is led by women with lived experience. The aim is to achieve system change locally and nationally to improve the mental health of marginalised women and is the next phase of the MMHA’s programme to tackle maternal mental health inequities across the UK.
With this funding, we are pleased to be recruiting for an exciting new National Programme Manager role to lead this important work and be an integral part of creating change for families across the UK.
Main responsibilities
Project delivery
- Deliver all key elements of the MMH Council project, in four localities, covering four different populations, implementing a model of community action led by women with lived experience
- Set up, convene, and facilitate the project governance board
- Research, identify and engage with local community and service organisations, and recruit and liaise with local core partner organisations
- Seek out, develop relationships, and work with other stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, voluntary and community organisations, commissioners, local authority staff, politicians, employers, and others with a shared commitment to achieving the objectives of the project
- With local partners, to recruit lived experience chairs and co-ordinators to lead the MMHA Councils
- Link with other organisations, groups, partnerships and local systems-change initiatives – such as Integrated Care Boards, Health and Wellbeing Boards, and Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships
- Set up a national advisory group consisting of a range of representatives from partner organisations
- Identify and share learnings from the project to support wider MMHA campaigning
- Work with evaluation partners to build impact frameworks and support outcomes measurement
- Deliver events across the UK to disseminate learning and impact systems change
Project management
- Ensure the project is managed clearly and proportionately, with key decisions and activities documented
- Monitor delivery against agreed outcomes
- Maintain project plans and other relevant documentation, including risk registers
- Write reports, for external and external use, including for MMHA trustees and the Community Fund
- Capture notes and learning from key events and activities, including the MMH Councils, project governance board, and national advisory group
- Undertake administrative tasks to support the delivery of the project.
People and relationships
- Support and enable women with lived experience to become and remain leaders of this work
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the project.
Reporting, finance and compliance
- Ensure financial agreements and robust systems are in place with partners
- Manage day-to-day budgets, ensuring the project remains within the agreed expenditure
- Ensure an effective process so that project stakeholders, including women with lived experience, are promptly reimbursed for any costs incurred

Purpose of the Role:
Work with the Marketing and Fundraising Manager to communicate Options vision, values and brand to multiple communities across the Liverpool City region in order to raise funds for Options.Options has a wide network of stakeholders, and this role should support this network to raise funds as well as undertaking direct fundraising activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist the Marketing and Fundraising Manager in raising funds from the local community, events, and corporate donors.
- Support the planning and delivery of key fundraising events and activities.
- Act as the point of contact for all community fundraising activities and events, including leading the presentation of Options at community events around the Liverpool City Region.
- Deliver excellent supporter communication and encouragement to fundraisers.
- Provide administrative support, including inputting data into the CRM system, and researching and scoping new fundraising events and activities.
- Assist with the planning, logistics, delivery, and aftercare of fundraising events.
- Steward community fundraisers and event participants, focusing on building positive relationships.
- Keep the Charity’s CRM up to date and record communications and future actions.
- Process data from fundraising platforms on a regular basis.
- Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure relevant income is appropriately recorded.
- Support Options Training, Events and Community activities as appropriate.
Detailed Responsibilities
1. Stewardship and relationship management:
- Deliver effective stewardship to new and existing community supporters.
- Maintain positive relationships with all fundraisers and donors through regular contact, updates, and conversations.
- Act as a point of contact for individual and group fundraisers, ensuring they are supported effectively to increase engagement.
- Work with those raising funds and ensure they have all the resources required for a successful event/activity.
2. Maximise fundraising income generation:
- Be part of the development of new funding streams, including in-memory donations, legacy giving, and regular giving.
- Provide fundraising materials to individuals, groups, and associations as required (e.g., how-to guides, t-shirts, badges, pens, banners, leaflets).
- Work closely in partnership with Options’ Culture and Training team, and Community and Inclusion team, to offer event support and identify income generation and fundraising opportunities at existing events.
3. Fundraising Events Co-ordination:
- Deliver a calendar of fundraising events.
- Offer event support at Options events when needed.
- Ensure event participants are supported to fundraise actively.
- Work with the Marketing and Fundraising Manager, Marketing Officer, and Social Media Apprentice to promote fundraising events, and make best use of team resources to ensure events are successful.
4. Awareness and Outreach:
- Encourage new individuals, groups, and businesses to fundraise for Options.
- Identify new community fundraising opportunities, and actively develop these through good stewardship and relationship building.
- Work with colleagues to promote event and community fundraising opportunities.
- Work with the Social Media Apprentice to create content for social media, website, and other publications.
- Attend events/talks and be a champion of Options and highlight the importance of fundraising.
5. Data Management:
- Use the CRM to store and manage fundraiser data in a useful structure, and in line with GDPR.
- Record supporter communications and any future actions.
- Process data from fundraising platforms on a regular basis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior community fundraising experience
- Experience of coordinating and managing events
- Experience of effective stewardship and relationship building
- Knowledge of community fundraising principles, methods and procedures including Fundraising Code of Practice
- Ability to build effective and sustainable relationships
- Ability to adapt to multiple demands and priorities
- Ability to effectively work as part of a team and be flexible
- Comfortable handling money and taking payments - an understanding of basic finance concepts related to fundraising and income generation (eg. fundraising income streams)

We are seeking an additional Support Network Coordinator to cover the South Central region (Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Northants and Oxon).

Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to SCI people and their families in their region of the UK.

- Developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex needs.

This is not a traditional policy and public affairs role. You may have gained your experience in the third sector, civil service or working for an MP, or maybe in a corporate HR or EDI role. You will help deliver our ambitious plan to secure social change to make society more inclusive for people who are deaf or have hearing loss. In this role you will be working across our range of policy, programme and public affairs activity – engaging with external stakeholders, including policy makers and large corporate partners, to improve access to and the experience of employment for our communities.
Around half of your time will be dedicated to policy work as part of our Employment Programme. We know that people who are deaf or have a hearing loss are less likely to be in employment, and that employer attitudes and poor Government support holds our community back. You’ll need to understand the disability employment policy landscape and marshal our evidence to make a persuasive case for social change to Government and other stakeholders.
RNID provides consultancy services to or enters into partnerships with businesses to help them become a better and more inclusive employer of people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. You will support this work by bringing your knowledge and expertise of employment policy to ensure that we provide up to date advice and guidance. You’ll also play a key role in translating this evidence into information and guidance for our website.
You will be the public affairs coordinator for the team, including actively supporting the APPG for Deafness, for which RNID provides the secretariat. You’ll also be required to undertake daily political monitoring and co-ordinate how we support our parliamentary champions in Westminster.

Age UK Mid Mersey has just been awarded National Lottery funding to develop and deliver evidence-based Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) group programmes for older people experiencing cognitive impairment or who are diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia. MCST is a weekly group programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment. Group members take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.
The programme will be overseen by an MCST Team Leader and delivered by a team of four MCST Facilitators, who will work in delivery pairs, and two carers support workers. One MCST Facilitator pair will deliver 2 group sessions a week in Halton and Warrington and the other pair in St Helens and Knowsley.
We are recruiting four part-time MCST Facilitators who will work in delivery pairs. One pair will deliver group programmes in Halton and Warrington and be based in our Runcorn Office. The other pair will deliver programmes in St Helens and Knowsley and be based at our head office in St Helens.
The facilitators will work closely with the MCST Team Leader to plan and deliver MCST programmes in their two Boroughs. Each programme will run for 12 weeks and will consist of four-hour activity sessions with a shared lunch. Facilitators will adapt the session delivery to meet the needs and specific interests of group participants ensuring the sessions are engaging and meaningful.
Facilitators will also work closely with the carers support workers and ensure that joined up support is provided to participants and their significant others.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.
Full training in MCST will be provided alongside comprehensive induction and role specific training.

Introduction and background
The Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) was founded in 2011 by people with lived experience, healthcare professionals, and organisations who understood the impact of perinatal mental problems and shared a commitment to improving the lives of women and their families.
Today, the MMHA is a UK-wide charity and network of over 130 member organisations. We work with parents, families, clinicians, and academics to ensure all women, birthing people, babies, and families have access to high-quality, compassionate mental health care. We bring the perinatal mental health community together and make change happen by combining the power of real-life experience with clinical and professional expertise.
We actively contribute to significantly improving mental health outcomes for people who experience discrimination, trauma and deprivation during the perinatal period and tackle systemic inequity and injustice.
We are now seeking a Chief Executive to take over from our interim CEO and lead the MMHA in the next stage of our development.
We have recently been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Lottery Community Fund to tackle maternal mental health inequities through community action. This project, due to start in Spring 2025, will develop, test and replicate a model of community-based decision making, support and service provision that is led by women with lived experience. This project aims to achieve system change locally and nationally to improve the mental health of marginalised women and is the next phase of the MMHA’s programme to tackle maternal mental health inequities across the UK. This will be our biggest piece of work over the next five years and will dovetail with other activities aimed at achieving our mission, where funding allows.

Main responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
- To provide clear strategic and inspirational leadership to the MMHA To drive the MMHA forward into the next stage of its development
- To ensure MMHA tackles maternal mental health inequities across the UK
- To be responsible for the management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks laid down by the Board of Trustees
- To work with Chair and Trustees in shaping the MMHA’s strategic mission, policies, aims and objectives
- To ensure long term sustainability of the MMHA through effective governance, sound finance and implementation of operational plans.
People
- To take overall responsibility for all permanent and temporary staff, and other members of the MMHA team, including contractors, champions and ambassadors
- To promote diversity and equality of opportunity for all staff in accordance with the MMHA EDI policy and strategy and foster a workplace culture built on inclusion, respect and equality.
Governance, finance and compliance
- To support the Chair and Trustees to ensure that the governance of the charity is proportionate and effective, and that the charity fulfils its legal, statutory, regulatory and moral duties and responsibilities
- To be responsible overall for the financial sustainability of the charity, and ensure that there are effective mechanisms to ensure the robustness of external and internal controls (financial and non-financial), supported by the Consultant Finance Director
- To support the Consultant Finance Director to ensure the timely and complete preparation of key reports, information and activities, including management accounts, budgets, annual report and accounts, and payroll
- To ensure that the major risks to which the charity is exposed are reviewed regularly by the Board and the Executive team, systems have been established to mitigate these risks
- To work with the Chair and the Board Secretary to ensure that meetings of trustees are effective and that Trustees have appropriate information to perform their duties.
Income generation
- To take overall responsibility for the MMHA’s income generation activities, securing the future of the organisation and delivering its ambition for the mental health of women during the perinatal period
- To lead on all trust, foundation and lottery fundraising, establishing and maintaining relationships, including with the National Lottery Community Fund
- To support the Marketing & Partnerships Director to develop corporate partnerships, taking the lead on the relationship with Tommee Tippee
- To work with the Marketing & Partnerships Director to secure funding from individuals.
Communications and external affairs
- To support the Head of Engagement to maintain a relevant, diverse and effective range of members organisations, and ensure their ongoing contribution to achieving the goals of the charity 4
- To have oversight of the social, economic, clinical and policy context and how they impact on maternal mental health and MMHA strategy
- To ensure the Alliance is working effectively across the 4 UK nations and devolved administrations
- To act as a visible leader for the charity, representing the MMHA at external events and networking opportunities, and act as a spokesperson
- To oversee the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies which effectively promote all aspects of the Alliance.
Other/service delivery
