The Sands Insights Network is an online community of bereaved parents who want to use their experience and knowledge to shape Sands work to make maternity and neonatal care safer.

The Network sits within the Saving Babies Lives team which focusses on using evidence, including from parents, to drive improvements in maternity and neonatal safety. The Network also facilitates parents’ involvement in Sands policy and campaigning work, as well as external projects seeking to include people with experience of baby loss.

Main Purpose of Job 

1. Undertake the day-to-day management of a successful network, building diverse membership and ensuring a safe environment for bereaved parents 

2. Ensure the diverse experiences and perspectives of bereaved parents are included in research, learning and improvement initiatives in a way that works for them 

3. Ensure the involvement activities are monitored, evaluated and impact is captured and shared

4. Help to build Sands’ reputation as a leader in partnership working, advocating for the inclusion of bereaved parents in research and decision making

 

Principle Tasks and Responsibilities 

 

1. Undertake the day-to-day management of a successful network, building diverse membership and ensuring a safe environment for bereaved parents 

• Grow the network. Engage potential new members and oversee screening and onboarding processes.

• Create a welcoming space with signposting to enable new and existing network members to navigate and make best use of the platform. 

• Maintain the network as a safe space for bereaved parents. 

• Promote the platform and its impact to Sands audiences. 

• Create and embed Equality, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) principles throughout the network and proactively ensure the membership is diverse in experience and background as the network grows.

• Work with Research Manager to ensure appropriate risk management and safeguarding protocols are in place and followed. 

• Work with the Research Manager to co-create governance policies/agreements with the network members.Moderate user activities and take actions where needed if policies are breached. 

2. Ensure the diverse experiences and perspectives of bereaved parents are included in research, learning and improvement initiatives in a way that works for them 

• Working with Sands teams and with external groups, identify opportunities for PPIE involvement, to provide a continuous range of options for parents to engage with. 

• Engage with network members to develop the community, and create activity based on their needs. 

• Share opportunities with the Network, encouraging and supporting involvement from members. 

• Create a dynamic and interactive atmosphere on the platform, building and maintain relationships with network members, and generating enthusiasm and a sense of purpose. 

• Encourage and facilitate activity within project groups on the network to ensure activities proceed and are constructive and inclusive. 

• Develop and share tools and resources to support parents with the skills and information they may need to be positively involved in research and improvement projects.

• Lead some involvement activities, including discussion groups, interviews and collaborative working. 

• Work with the Research Manager and the membership of the network to develop and implement a policy for reward and recognition for both internal and external opportunities. 

3. Ensure the involvement activities are monitored, evaluated and impact is captured

• In partnership with the Research Manager develop and embed a framework for monitoring and evaluating activities. 

• Summarise and share findings and outcomes of network projects, feeding into research, service and policy development. 

• Provide regular reports on impact and share those across Sands.

4. Help to build Sands’ reputation as a leader in partnership working, advocating for the inclusion of bereaved parents in research and decision making

• Build relationships with external stakeholders; support network members to influence people and organisations outside Sand directly, including decisionmakers, influencers, research groups or research funders.

• Represent network members externally and advocate for their involvement and inclusion in research and improvement programmes. 

• Represent Sands at external events, meetings and activities, helping to build Sands’ reputation as a leader in the field of working in partnership with bereaved parents.

 

General 

• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required by the Research Manager, Head of Saving Babies Lives team and the CEO.

As Media Manager you will help deliver some of the biggest moments in Alzheimer’s Society’s calendar, working closely with large parts of the organisation, including our regional, celebrity, social media and research communications colleagues, to inform, inspire and engage our audiences.

You will line manage and support a Media Officer to deliver high quality and impactful national media coverage aligned to organisational priorities. About you

Job Summary

This role will lead the development, setup, and delivery of individual locations within our new hyper-local Early Diagnosis Programme designed to improve bowel cancer awareness and timely presentation in communities most affected by health inequalities. Central to the role is establishing strong partnerships - working with local cancer alliances or health boards, primary care, community pharmacies, employers, and community and faith groups - to create tailored, locally driven plans.

The post holder will oversee the design of bespoke 12-month delivery plans for each location, selecting and coordinating relevant Bowel Cancer UK interventions and ensuring all activity is grounded in local insight and evidence.

This role will be critical in delivering the first phase of the Early Diagnosis Programme, generating learning, refining the model, and laying the foundations for potential future scale-up across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver local early diagnosis programmes by developing tailored, evidence-based 12‑month plans to improve bowel cancer awareness and early presentation in targeted communities.

• Build and manage strong multi-agency partnerships with health systems, primary care, community groups, employers, and other stakeholders to drive coordinated, high-impact local activity.

• Coordinate programme delivery and impact by managing volunteers, overseeing implementation and evaluation frameworks, and using insights to refine and scale the programme nationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting New Business Development

• Assist in researching and identifying prospective regional, national and international corporate partners aligned with the organisation’s mission and values
• Support the development of tailored proposals, pitches and presentations for potential corporate supporters
• Help prepare outreach materials, including emails, decks, and briefing documents
• Maintain and update prospect pipelines and CRM records

• Coordinate and deliver partnership communications, including newsletters, updates, impact reports, and social media content
• Lead on gathering content to form the basis of partnership communication obligations
• Work with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality messaging including drafting copy in line with brand messaging, obtaining appropriate images, developing related materials and ensuring approval processes are followed.

Sponsorship & Agreement Management

• Assist in drafting and managing sponsorship agreements and partnership contracts

• Support the review and renewal of agreements

Administration & Reporting

Part-funded by a generous donation from Backstage Trust, this is a new and pivotal role designed to transform Theatre Centre's fundraising capacity by strengthening systems, increasing income diversity, and building long-term financial resilience. Phase 1 - Foundation: Build on our strong systems and processes and give us consistency in fundraising delivery, including building a robust pipeline of Trusts & Foundations and developing place-based income in Crawley and the Gatwick area.

This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Corporate Partnerships Manager, Primary Science Teaching Trust

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and trusts and foundations There is huge scope to develop both income streams at PSTT as this is a newly created position with the responsibility for growing and further developing these income streams. 

This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape the income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing partners with an incredible supporter experience. External Communications Manager

About the role

As External Communications Manager, you will help build FitzRoy’s profile and reputation by identifying the stories, insight and opportunities that show what good support looks like in real life.

You will work closely with the Head of Communications, fundraising, business development and operational colleagues to turn external communications priorities into practical plans, content and opportunities.

This is a delivery role with real influence. You will be expected to bring ideas, advise colleagues, shape practical plans and turn opportunities into action.

What you will do

You will:

• develop proactive external communications activity that raises awareness of FitzRoy’s work, expertise and impact
• spot opportunities for FitzRoy to contribute constructively to sector conversations
• identify realistic opportunities for media, sector press, partner or local coverage
• gather stories, photos, video and quotes that help people understand what good support looks like in real life
• use social media, website content, audience insight and analytics to strengthen FitzRoy’s external profile

About you

You may come from charity communications, PR, journalism, public affairs, stakeholder communications or another external communications background.

You do not need to have worked in social care before, but you will need to be interested in people, willing to learn quickly and able to handle stories about people’s lives with care, respect and good judgement.

THINK is expanding our Data function and looking for find a Data Consultant who can help achieve that growth.

THINK Data is the specialist data function of THINK, working exclusively in the charity and not-for-profit sector. We combine deep sector knowledge with hands-on technical expertise across three core areas: data health, analytics and insight, and CRM system challenges. 

Led by the Director of THINK Data, the team covers key elements of data strategy with charity clients to help them get more from their data and make better decisions. Discovering the challenges around the infrastructure of systems, processes and insight capability charities need to make data work harder for their mission. The Director leads on new business generation, team development, innovation in data products and thought leadership across the sector. Part of that innovation is exploring the best ways to use AI in how we work and how we advise clients, taking a considered and human approach. 

The Data Consultant role centres on data discovery and consultancy - working with charity clients to understand their data challenges and shape practical roadmaps for change. Alongside this you will contribute to client delivery, own key internal systems, and help develop new products and services. 

This is an opportunity to grow. The role offers a clear path to develop from Data Consultant to Senior Data Consultant, with the potential over time to progress towards Data Director. Job Purpose 

To provide a physiotherapy service as part of a multi-disciplinary team, on a part-time basis

Key Working Relationships

Physiotherapists are self-employed contractors and report to the Clinical Lead.

Job Description

Key duties

• Respond to physiotherapy referrals
• Carry out assessments, provide advice and recommend interventions to manage the symptoms in patients with M.E./C.F.S. and related conditions, working with a whole person approach, and involving family/carers where appropriate
• Provide written reports for the person with M.E. and others involved in their care with consent of the patient
• Participate in clinical team meetings at least once a quarter (approximately 1 hour)
• Participate in quarterly physiotherapy team meetings (approximately 1 hour)

Key Tasks 

• Arrange and undertake consultations in the most appropriate manner for the patient - remotely by either telephone, Zoom or email.
• Record consultation details (date, length of consultation, charge) on Action for M.E.’s internal tracker for invoicing purposes
• Consider choices and in collaboration with the person with M.E., agree attainable and realistic goals, however small, during assessment
• Offer a selection of gentle progressive interventions to facilitate an improvement in their quality of life
• Offer follow-up consultations with patients by phone, Zoom or email
• Raise any safeguarding concerns to appropriate colleagues.

• Seek to reduce fear associated with the illness and to create an environment for healing
• Offer clear and consistent information and advice to people with M.E. and their family/carers
• Work within Action for M.E. policies ensuring privacy and dignity.

Person Specification

Qualifications/Key requirements

• Must be registered HCPC
• Must be registered with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or other professional body which can provide PLI
• Up to date professional indemnity insurance
• Safeguarding training to Level 3
• Eligible to work in the UK

Experience and Knowledge

May be varied but would typically include:

• Several years of post-graduate work experience in different aspects of the profession
• Familiarity with the NICE Guideline for the management of M.E. (2021)
• Experience in the management of long-term conditions
• Experience in the management of chronic pain and its impact on the quality of life
• Working in a multi-disciplinary team

Skills and Behaviours

• Excellent communication skills, in both active listening and careful word usage
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to quickly learn relevant bespoke software systems

Attitudes

• Understanding that ME/CFS is a complex biomedical condition
• A desire to help people holistically to manage their ME/CFS
