As Policy Manager, you will play a key role in influencing national policy across priority areas including early years, prevention, public health, child protection and workforce. Your work will directly support iHV’s mission to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities for babies, children, families and communities and spread excellence in health visiting.
Working closely with our clinical team, members and partners, you will develop evidence-based policy positions and help ensure frontline expertise informs decision-making at the highest levels.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the co-development of evidence-based policy positions with iHV’s clinical team, members and partners.
- Monitor policy developments and identify opportunities to influence change.
- Produce high-quality briefings, consultation responses and reports.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across government, charities and the health sector.
- Gather, synthesise and apply frontline insight to inform policy development – including the production of iHV’s high-profile ‘State of Health Visiting’ survey and report.
- Work closely with the Systems and Digital Manager, applying digital and data expertise to leverage digital tools and emerging technologies (including AI) to strengthen evidence-gathering, inform policy development, and improve organisational effectiveness.
- Support delivery of policy elements of iHV projects and organisational priorities.
- Represent iHV at meetings and contribute to sector discussions.
About you:
We are looking for the following essential skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of UK policy-making processes and child and family health/ early years policy – ideally informed by experience working within or closely with government or public sector organisations.
- Exceptional writing skills, with a proven ability to produce authoritative, high impact briefings, reports and policy documents that are clear, persuasive and tailored to diverse audiences.
- Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and evidence from multiple sources and translate this into clear, practical and actionable policy recommendations.
- Ability to collate, synthesise and critically assess diverse sources of insight, including frontline practitioner perspectives, quantitative and qualitative data, to inform robust policy development.
- Experience developing or contributing to evidence-based policy outputs (e.g. briefings, reports, consultation responses).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate inputs and deliver work to deadlines.
- Confident verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute effectively to meetings, events and external discussions, presenting complex ideas clearly.

- Location: Home-based/remote, with travel to national events throughout the year both for the Family Services and occasional travel for the wider needs of the organisation
- Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract: Permanent
- Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm, with occasional evenings and weekends (TOIL provided)

About the Role
We're looking for a compassionate and organised Family Support Coordinator to help deliver practical, emotional and financial support to families affected by Dravet Syndrome.
Working closely with the Head of Family Services, you'll be a key point of contact for families, supporting enquiries, coordinating grants, managing online communities, helping organise family events, and ensuring families can access the information and support they need.
This is a varied and rewarding role combining family support, community engagement, event coordination and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Family Support
- Manage a caseload of families, providing practical and emotional support.
- Respond to enquiries and signpost families to appropriate services.
- Support newly diagnosed families, bereaved families, and those navigating transition to adulthood.
- Maintain accurate records using the charity's CRM system.
Grants & Community Support
- Coordinate family grant applications and payments.
- Moderate and support the charity's private Facebook community.
- Collect feedback and help improve family services.
- Escalate safeguarding concerns in line with policy.
Events & Engagement
- Support the delivery of the Annual Family Weekend Away and other family events.
- Assist with webinars, support programmes and educational activities.
- Build positive relationships with families and volunteers.
- Attend key family-facing events across the year.
Administration
- Support reporting, record management and service administration.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR and organisational policies.
- Attend team meetings, training and charity events.
About You
Essential
- Experience supporting children, adults and families.
- Experience supporting people with complex medical, learning or additional needs.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to provide empathetic, person-centred support.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Background in Health & Social Care, Mental Health, Community Development, Counselling or Education.
- Experience organising events or community activities.
- Knowledge of Dravet Syndrome or other neurological conditions.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

THINK is expanding our Data function and looking for find a Data Consultant who can help achieve that growth.
THINK Data is the specialist data function of THINK, working exclusively in the charity and not-for-profit sector. We combine deep sector knowledge with hands-on technical expertise across three core areas: data health, analytics and insight, and CRM system challenges.
Led by the Director of THINK Data, the team covers key elements of data strategy with charity clients to help them get more from their data and make better decisions. Discovering the challenges around the infrastructure of systems, processes and insight capability charities need to make data work harder for their mission. The Director leads on new business generation, team development, innovation in data products and thought leadership across the sector. Part of that innovation is exploring the best ways to use AI in how we work and how we advise clients, taking a considered and human approach.
The Data Consultant role centres on data discovery and consultancy - working with charity clients to understand their data challenges and shape practical roadmaps for change. Alongside this you will contribute to client delivery, own key internal systems, and help develop new products and services.

We are looking for a driven, ambitious individual with a background in charity fundraising and experience in data analysis and management, who is ready to take a step up into consultancy. The role offers a clear path to develop from Data Consultant to Senior Data Consultant, with the potential over time to progress towards Data Director.
