You would support marketing and communications across our three core projects:

• Think Different: Preventing Harm Through Education
A trauma-informed early psychoeducational programme for children and young people aged 8–18 in schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care. Aiming to improve emotional control, self-worth, and resilience to stress to prevent harmful behaviour before it begins.

• True Power: Change Starts Inside
A behavioural change and rehabilitation programme supporting offenders and helping reduce reoffending. Aiming to improve emotional management, self-worth, control, and accountability to prevent harmful behaviour repeating.

• ListenApp
A discreet victim support app designed to help individuals experiencing abuse alert their support network instantly. Connecting those in danger to their emergency contacts and preventing harmful behaviour escalating.

The role may include:

• Supporting social media content and scheduling
• Setting up Google Ads
• Helping create awareness campaigns
• Assisting with newsletters, blogs, or website updates
• Designing simple promotional materials or graphics
• Supporting outreach to schools, charities, organisations, or communities
• Helping grow engagement and visibility online

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has marketing, communications, social media, branding, PR, or content creation experience
• Is creative, organised, and proactive
• Has strong written communication skills
• Wants to use their skills to support meaningful social impact work

Experience within the charity sector is helpful but not essential.

As a growing charity, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us and help shape our future direction. As a Climate Ambassador, you would be joining thousands of volunteers supporting the Department for Education’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy, launched in 2022.

Climate Ambassadors offer free support to nurseries, schools and colleges across England to develop and implement a climate action plan. This framework helps education settings evaluate and address key action areas – adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity, climate education and green careers, and decarbonisation.

If you have: 

• A desire to create coordinated impact in your local community, while utilising your employer’s volunteering leave (where applicable); 

• Knowledge about the sustainability and climate challenges facing the world; 

• Familiarity with education settings, or the ability to inspire senior leaders, educators and young people to set out on their sustainability journey;

1. Complete an initial interest form and your regional team will be in touch to support your registration on the STEM Learning platform; 
2. Receive induction, your DBS check and your Climate Ambassador training; 
3. Identify activities you would like to support and post about them on the STEM Learning platform, or browse activities requested by your local schools! 

Your regional team will get in touch suggesting a good match to a local setting seeking support relating to your area of interest or experience. You can also upskill through the Sustainability Leadership Programme to unlock new areas of expertise.

Tree Action UK is a not for profit community initiative dedicated to restoring local green spaces through tree planting and environmental care.

We plant trees in schools, colleges and on public land in Sussex. Our projects help support environmental education for young people, improve our local environment and enhance community wellbeing.

The Role

We’re seeking a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant to support our sponsorship and corporate partnership efforts. This is a fully remote, unpaid volunteer position. We ask that you are available to volunteer around 1 or 2 hours per week to help contact local sponsors by sendon out our brochure via email to local business, to promote sponsorship of for our community tree planting and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and approaching potential corporate sponsors and partners aligned with our environmental mission.
• Help manage sponsorship outreach, including drafting emails, follow-ups and tracking responses.
• Maintain organised records of contacts, opportunities, and progress using simple tools like spreadsheets.

At One Degree, our mentors, ambassadors, and teachers are more than just volunteers—they’re lifelines for students often overlooked in their schools and communities. By offering direction, encouragement, and a sense of possibility, our volunteers transform lives while experiencing the profound reward of making a real, tangible impact.

Most of our mentors are young professionals, bringing passion, patience, and empathy to help GCSE/Year 11 students (ages 15–16) navigate their challenges. These volunteers serve as role models, guiding students who might otherwise feel left behind toward brighter futures.

To foster meaningful connections and provide continuity, we ask volunteers to commit to at least three in-person or online sessions per year. This ensures students build trust and form bonds with the people dedicated to helping them succeed.

What time commitments are required?

Preparation

1. Mentor registration (2 minutes)
2. Online mentor training course (30 minutes)
3. Online safeguarding course (30 minutes)
4. Online DBS/CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check (15 minutes)
5. Online personalised 1-on-1 mentor training (2 x 30 minutes)

Total time needed to become a mentor – approximately 2.5 hours

Mentoring

1. Choose availability that fits your schedule – whether it’s 5 hours a week or just 30 minutes a month.
2. Mentor online from anywhere in the world.
3. Adjust your availability as your circumstances change.
4. Focus on mentoring subjects you’re confident in.
5. Access support from our experienced teachers and tutors.

What it takes

Anyone who meets the following criteria is welcome to apply:

• Able to volunteer a minimum of three sessions per programme
• Patient, empathetic and considerate
• Willing to participate in group activities and sports

Important Note! You do NOT need exceptional skills in Maths or English, or previous mentoring or teaching experience to be a One Degree mentor.

What’s in it for you

We now offer 7-day-a-week mentoring for our GCSE students and programme alumni:

1. This is flexible – with no set days and times, you can make yourself available based on YOUR schedule and you can update availability with our new integrated calendar system (training required here)
2. This is innovative – during our 1-on-1 training we will run through this new addition to our custom-built online mentoring platform where you can a) connect your personal and work calendars b) select provisional availability and c) be booked by One Degree students based on their availability, your availability or by mentor speciality. This also now extends to supporting One Degree alumni.

Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that Camberwell Afterschool Project
(CASP) achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management and
administration of the charity. They also ensure that CASP has a clear strategy and
that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support
and challenge the executive team to enable CASP to grow and thrive, and through
this, achieve our aims and objectives.
Board members have a collective responsibility. This means that trustees always act
as a group and not as individuals. The role of Company Secretary is a key and
important Trustee position on the Board.

Main Duties:
● Ensure that the charity is operating within the legal framework required by a
UK registered charity and company limited by guarantee. This includes
ensuring that Company Law, Charity Law and regulatory requirements of
reporting and public accountability are compiled with.
● Contribute to the setting and shaping of CASP's strategic direction
● Contribute to good governance, including compliance with both the Charity
Commission and Companies House requirements
● To ensure new Trustees complete the necessary checks, including the
undertaking of the Disclosure and Barring check (DBS) and registeration with
Companies House
● Provide guidance to the other trustees in relation to their legal and ethical
duties and responsibilities
● Work with the chair of the board to ensure effective governance structures are
in place and are regularly reviewed, updated and followed
● Champion our work by supporting our programme activities, attending our
events and being an ambassador for the charity through your networks
● Work with the CEO along with other trustees to identify and manage risk
● To fulfil any other duties as may be required from time to time by the Board of
Trustees

Action Tutoring is a national education charity that offers free maths and English tutoring to pupils facing disadvantage. 

By volunteering as a tutor at a local school or online, you'll be supporting children to build their confidence and help ensure they leave school with the grades needed to build a bright future.

What will I be doing?

• Tutoring 1-3 pupils in Year 5 or 6, or Year 7, 10 or 11.

• Commit to one hour a week, for up to 20 weeks. You choose the day and time to sign up to.

• Use our tutor workbooks to guide your pupils through activities that will boost their confidence and grades.

This volunteer role is perfect for you if you:

• Have a busy schedule but are keen to contribute to your community, as this flexible role requires just one hour a week, either in-person or conveniently online.

We look for volunteers with:

• Solid subject knowledge in the area they wish to tutor, which may be demonstrated by a degree or grade B at A-level qualification (or equivalent) or relevant experience.

• The ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.

• A commitment to supporting pupils’ academic progress.
