SANE is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support the effective day-to-day financial management of the charity and help ensure our mental health services are financially well supported.
This is a hands-on, operational role working closely with the Chief Operations Officer and Senior Management Team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, producing clear financial information and ensuring strong financial controls are in place.

About the role
We are recruiting for a strategic, results driven Operations Transformation Manager (Scientific Research), to join our Programme Management team and play a pivotal role in driving operational transformation across the organisation.
As an Operations Transformation Manager - Scientific Research, (known internally as a Senior Project Manager: Operations), you will lead cross‑functional strategic projects that strengthen the Institute’s operational effectiveness and support world‑class scientific research. You’ll take ownership of end to end project delivery, from scoping and planning through to implementation and evaluation, using your analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and manage risks and dependencies.
Working closely with colleagues across operations, science, and corporate services, you will design and deliver improvements that enhance processes, reduce risk, and introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working. Your work may involve transforming operational environments for scientists, improving regulatory compliance, or deploying new technologies and processes that drive efficiency without disrupting live operations.
You will also contribute to building project management capability across the Crick, supporting the Head of PMO in establishing consistent tools, frameworks, and reporting for the wider project portfolio. What you will be doing
As an Operations Transformation Manager at the Crick, you will:
Project management
- Leading on operational change projects from initiative through development to implementation with ownership of project planning, timelines, resources and risk management.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to control parameters: scope, budget, dependencies and timeline.
Business improvement delivery
- Work with the sponsor and senior stakeholders to agree the scope of the project, options for delivery and developing the business case to support benefits realisation
- Prepare and present clear and concise proposals, and roadmaps, for review by stakeholders to explain the strategy and approach to solutions.
Stakeholder management
- Build relationships with key stakeholders up to Director and Lab Leader level, across science and operations to gain a deep understanding of user wants and needs.
- Organise, chair, and document meetings and workshops between stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to collaboratively discuss, explore and understand issues and brainstorm solutions.
About you
You will have:
- Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline.
- Experience of working in business analysis, business transformation and/or project management roles.*
- Proven recent record of accomplishment for end-to-end delivery of business change projects, involving a diverse group of internal stakeholders, with the application of structured and agile project management tools.*

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.
The Major Gifts Manager will be part of the charity’s high-performing Philanthropy team, personally managing a portfolio of high-value donors and projects, and cultivating long-term relationships that lead to increased giving. Reporting to the Major Gifts Team Manager, the postholder will oversee major donor stewardship journeys and the strategic delivery of the charity’s successful VIP Name a Puppy scheme, as well as developing compelling cases for support.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience securing major gifts and managing high‑value relationships in a similar field, including five‑ and six‑figure contributions, as well as a strong track record in cultivating and stewarding donors. About the Role
The Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager will lead all fundraising activity, including stakeholder partnerships and grant/trust income, overseeing a six figure annual income portfolio. - Maintain and develop the Damp & Mould tracker, ensuring information is accurate, clear, and up to date

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £28,115 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

The Philanthropy Manager is an established, donor-facing role, focused on building and managing a robust portfolio of major donors through excellent relationship management and strategic pipeline development. You will take ownership of your own donor portfolio, developing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, converting transactional supporters into long-term partners, and delivering sustainable income growth. As Philanthropy Manager, you will:
- Manage and grow a personal portfolio of major donors through full-cycle relationship management, including regular face-to-face meetings with donors and prospects
- Identify, cultivate and steward prospects to secure five-figure gifts and long-term support
- Convert event-based and transactional supporters into deeper, strategic donor relationships
- Develop and deliver tailored stewardship plans, reports and donor communications
- Work closely with the Data & Insights Manager to build a more analytical, data-led pipeline
- Support the Senior Philanthropy Manager with donor strategy around events, prospecting and follow-up
- Maintain high-quality records, forecasting and reporting through Salesforce
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a major donor fundraiser with a track record of securing five-figure gifts
- Full-cycle experience across identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Strong donor-facing skills with confidence building and managing senior relationships
- Experience writing high-quality donor materials, including reports and proposals
- Analytical and methodical approach, with experience using data to inform fundraising decisions
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and pipeline management
- Confident user of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
Desirable:
- International development or humanitarian sector experience

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team with strategic oversight of repairs, fire and building safety, landlord compliance, sustainability, reinvestment and housing services. You would be responsible for a mixed portfolio of buildings (owned and leased) that range from big hostels to self-contained flats, including some more quirky buildings like a converted church, ensuring throughout that St Mungo’s, as a registered social landlord, meets all its regulatory obligations. As part of the senior leadership team, you will:
- Lead, develop and manage St Mungo’s Property and Housing Services functions, embedding a culture of excellent customer service and compliance.
- Shape and deliver investment to meet resident priorities now and in the future, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and aligned with new and emerging regulation.
