Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

· Excellent organisational skills

· The ability to prioritise and delegate

· An appreciation of the importance of handling money and charity resources responsibly

· Fine-tuned communication skills and a passion for engaging with people within your local community

· Basic IT skills to use Cats Protection systems - training and support can be provided

· Committee volunteers need to be aged 18+

Join the team and be part of one of Breast Cancer Now’s biggest fundraising events. Enjoy the party atmosphere and make some noise for our runners at the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 11 October!

We're looking for volunteers to come along between 9am to 2.30pm, but you don’t need to stay for the whole time!

What will I be doing?

• Making lots of noise at one of our cheer points, so ours are the loudest and liveliest! 
• Being there for our runners, with high-fives, hugs, and a happy face
• Giving words of encouragement to help our runners power-through to the finish line

What skills or qualities do I need? 

• Bags of enthusiasm! 
• The confidence to cheer, shout and make lots of noise
• Able to quickly connect with and uplift people

What do I get out of it?

• Fun! You’ll have a great time at one of our cheer points
• The chance to meet new people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. 
• You’ll get to attend a major sporting event and enjoy the party atmosphere.

Bangor Humanists bring non-religious people together to be happier and more fulfilled and to be a force for good in our community.

We are a Local Group of Humanists UK. All Humanists UK members and supporters in the local area are automatically part of the group. Bangor Humanists aim to provide a range of activities for non-religious people living in and around Bangor to meet, socialise, campaign, raise awareness of humanism, participate in local civic life and support each other. The Local Group represents Humanists UK and the local humanist community at public events and in public forums. Bangor Humanists is led by a team of volunteers that organises events and activities throughout the year.

Community Fundraising Volunteer

Winter Fundraising Bucket Collection - Oxford

Role summary

Do you want to join our movement and defend the right to a safe home? We’re looking for volunteers who can join us at a bucket collection event in the community to help us raise money during our Winter fundraising period!

The Oxford event is taking place 10:00-17:00 on 28th November 2026 in Bonn Square.

The housing emergency hurts everyone. The fight to end it starts here!

• Suggested involvement: Whatever works for you! You choose the shifts you volunteer at.
• Availability: If you can't stay for the whole afternoon, you can sign up for 10:00–13:00 or 13:00–17:00.
• Location: City Centre, Bonn Square
• Supervised by: Community Events Assistant

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Community Fundraising team who canjoin us at a bucket collection event in the community to help us raise money during our Winter fundraising period!

The main thing we need you to do is help us fundraise. You’ll be vital to our fundraising efforts for the Winter Appeal by holding collection buckets in public spaces.

You’ll be supported by one of our Community and Events Assistants or Lead Volunteer to help us to create an energetic and friendly atmosphere to gather donations.

Your support is not only crucial to our fundraising efforts, but it’s also opportunity to have fun, meet new people and experience some wonderful community spirit while contributing towards our mission.

• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

The skills you need

• Be friendly and approachable.
• Confident to engage with the public, potential clients, volunteers and SSAFA colleagues face-to-face.
• Reliable attitude, staying connected with your Branch and/or Community Engagement Manager about your availability.
• Access to public transport or a car to get to events if necessary.
• Basic IT skills would be an advantage.
