YMCA Worcestershire is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Events Volunteers to support our fundraising activities throughout the year. Our events help raise vital funds to support young people across Worcestershire, providing safe accommodation, guidance, and opportunities to help them build brighter futures.
What you’ll do
As an Events Volunteer, you’ll have the chance to learn the ins and outs of fundraising events while supporting our team with things such as:
Event set-up and pack-down
Welcoming and supporting participants
Helping with registration desks
Assisting with activities and stalls
Supporting fundraising activities on the day
Creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for attendees
Upcoming events you could support
We have several exciting events coming up, including:
Race for Change – Sunday 21st June
Family Fun Day – Saturday 4th July
Sleep Easy – Saturday 17th October
…and more events currently being scheduled throughout the year!

The Story Museum is looking for three people to join the Board of Trustees due to existing long-serving (and brilliant!) Trustees coming to the end of their terms. In this round of recruitment we are actively seeking individuals who bring specific skill-sets and experiences from within the legal, fundraising or education sectors.
The Museum opened in its current form in May 2021. We have since welcomed over 420,000 visitors, mostly children and young people, to our amazing exhibitions and events. Through this interaction with stories and storytellers, visitors of all ages nurture their literacy, creativity and wellbeing. Job Description:
The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children. We aim to actively encourage women to be self-reliant, through empowering them to identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions.
We offer short term home visits, counselling sessions, practical & emotional One to One support, Domestic violence groups, Awareness raising workshops and drop in or chat groups to help women facing crises or challenging situations.
Purpose of Volunteer Role
The Women & Families Resource Centre has always relied on the dedication and skills of volunteers to offer practical & emotional support to women & families. As the charity grows, we require volunteers to participate in fundraising roles to help us generate much-needed income to continue to help the numerous families we support every year. We are increasing our community fundraising goals and this is an exciting time to help us grow.
Task Description
Fundraising volunteers will take part in a variety of activities to raise money for WFRC - some planned at the start of the year, and some arising during the year. Activities may include volunteering at our fundraising sales or car boot sales; helping at our fundraising events; doing bucket collections; helping at corporate fundraising events; or working with the grants team to seek material donations.
