Job description

HELP BUILD SOMETHING THAT MATTERS

MINDSET Charity is looking for a Volunteer Operations Lead (Programme Development) to support the Founder and help build our programmes from the ground up.

We’re building MINDSET — a brand‑new, energetic mental health charity for men and boys in London.

Our focus is simple: practical, non‑clinical tools that actually feel good to use. Motivational interviewing. Solution‑focused approaches. Self‑improvement practices. Life coaching. Mentoring. Real conversations that help men understand themselves better, strengthen their mindset and take confident steps towards healthier futures.

Our mission is clear: to be the bridge into mental health — a safe, stigma‑free starting point where men and boys can reflect, set goals and get support long before crisis point.

Through our programmes, workshops and support, we equip men and boys with the skills and techniques that build resilience, boost wellbeing and create lasting change.

MINDSET is where growth begins — and where positive futures take shape.

THE ROLE: OPERATIONS LEAD - PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT (VOLUNTEER)

This is a founding role — a chance to help build a charity and its programmes from day one.

As our Operations Lead, you’ll work closely with the Founder to design, set up, organise and manage MINDSET’s pilot programmes, including:

  • Schools Work Programme
  • 6‑Week Self Improvement Programme
  • 12‑Week Self Improvement Programme
  • Life Coaching Programme
  • Personal Development Programme
  • And future programmes as we grow

You’ll bring structure, organisation and creativity to help turn ideas into real, meaningful experiences for men and boys across London.

This role is perfect for someone who loves building programmes, shaping services, coordinating people and making things work smoothly.

You will help us with:

  • Designing and developing new programmes from concept to delivery
  • Setting up simple, effective operational systems that support programme delivery
  • Coordinating volunteers, mentors, coaches and facilitators
  • Organising sessions, timetables, resources and logistics
  • Supporting the Founder with programme planning and implementation
  • Testing, refining and improving pilot programmes as they grow
  • Ensuring programmes feel welcoming, human, practical and stigma‑free
  • Building relationships with schools, partners and community organisations

Previous experience in service or programme development is essential.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bring your programme development experience.
  • Bring your organisational skills.
  • Bring your creativity and problem‑solving.
  • Bring your passion for helping men and boys build stronger futures.
  • Help us build something powerful, practical and life‑changing.

Could you help us make MINDSET happen?

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Service or programme development (required)
  • Youth work, schools work or community programmes
  • Mental health, wellbeing or personal development
  • Coaching, mentoring or behaviour‑change programmes
  • Start‑up or small charity operations
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Safeguarding or risk management (bonus)
  • Partnership building or community engagement

If you care about men’s wellbeing, believe in early intervention, and want to help build a charity with heart, purpose and ambition — this role is for you.
