We Need Your Help!
Unlock YOUR Potential is growing fast, demand for our programmes is rising, and we are preparing for charity registration — but we cannot build a strong, credible, and sustainable organisation without someone who can guide our finances with clarity, integrity, and confidence.
We urgently need a leader who believes in transparency, good stewardship, and the power of strong financial foundations to change lives.
Become Our Volunteer Finance Manager / Treasurer and Help Build the Financial Backbone of Unlock YOUR Potential
Unlock YOUR Potential supports NEET adults (18+) across East London to rebuild confidence, improve wellbeing, and move toward employment, education, or training. As a start‑up, we are building everything from scratch — and our financial systems must be robust, compliant, and ready for growth.
We need someone who can help us manage our finances responsibly and prepare us for the next stage of our journey.
This is your chance to shape the financial health of a future charity.
Your Impact
As our Finance Manager / Treasurer, you will play a critical role in ensuring we are financially sound, transparent, and ready for charity registration. Your leadership will shape how we budget, report, and plan for the future.
You will help us:
-
Build strong financial systems and processes
-
Prepare budgets for programmes, fundraising, and operations
-
Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
-
Support grant applications with clear, realistic budgets
-
Produce financial reports for trustees, funders, and partners
-
Ensure we meet our legal and financial responsibilities as we grow
-
Strengthen our credibility and sustainability as a future charity
Your work will directly influence our ability to deliver life‑changing support to adults in Tower Hamlets and the surrounding areas.
What You’ll Lead On
-
Budgeting: Creating and managing budgets for programmes, operations, and fundraising.
-
Bookkeeping: Maintaining accurate financial records, transactions, and documentation.
-
Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly/quarterly reports for the Board of Trustees.

-
Grant Support: Working with the Grant Writer to prepare budgets for funding bids.
-

-
Strategic Planning: Advising the Founder and Board on financial sustainability and growth.
This is a strategic and hands‑on role — perfect for someone who loves structure, numbers, and building strong foundations.
What You Bring

You may be:

Experienced in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management
-
Skilled at budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
-
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, accounting tools, or simple financial systems
-
Someone who understands the importance of transparency and compliance
-
A detail‑driven communicator who enjoys creating order and clarity
Above all, you bring honesty, reliability, and a belief that strong finances unlock opportunity.
What You Gain
-
A senior leadership role in a growing social impact start‑up
-
The chance to build the financial systems of a future charity
-
Real influence over how adults in Tower Hamlets and the surrounding areas access life‑changing support
