About the Role

Our client Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity embedded in the local community, providing practical help, support and training to people affected by homelessness or suffering from addiction. As SCT’s HR and Quality Manager you will report to the CEO and work closely with the SMT and wider management team, including SCT’s Co-Production worker and external HR Consultancy. You will be responsible for leading, directing and delivering a comprehensive generalist HR service across the whole of SCT and providing the organisational lead on health, safety and wellbeing, data protection and quality improvement systems; developing and promoting best practice and taking a hands-on role as and when necessary and according to SCT’s inclusive, integrated, innovative and participatory culture. You will also line manage HR Volunteers and a Head Office Administrator.

Basis is looking to appoint a Navigation and Support Worker (Intensive Support) who can provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited. The women we work with often require intensive practical and emotional support as well as help to navigate health and, social care, the criminal justice systems and other services. The women’s circumstances can impact their mental or physical health. They may also be at risk of or experience homelessness and come into contact with the criminal justice system. Many of the women may experience historic or current sexual and/or domestic abuse.
Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalised supported will help women to access other services and making appropriate referrals for women who wish to access additional support, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. You will be responsible for ensuring that women with varying needs are supported effectively throughout their pathway of support with Basis and partners, advocating for and with the women you are working with including, where necessary, challenging stigma and judgement women face.

Our services in Leeds provide support to adult women (and those identifying as women/non- binary) involved in all aspects of the sex industry or who are experiencing sexual exploitation. The postholder will provide support to women identified as requiring or accessing intensive support. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights-based approach and provide evidence-based services to enable and empower women to make informed choices. Purpose of role
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising strategy and income streams have developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. The SCO will work with the Fundraising Manager (FM) and Chief Fundraising and Communications Officer (CFCO) to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income. The SCO will work with the Fundraising Assistant to thank supporters, record donations and support individuals with their own fundraising events.

At our North West London Home, we are recruiting a Head of Kennels who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to provide front line leadership to our team of Kennel and Animal Care staff and volunteers. We care for up to fifteen dogs on site, in addition to dogs placed into foster homes. Our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing the day-to-day smooth running of our kennels and maintaining the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, so that their individual physical and psychological needs are catered for adequately, and in line with our standards and ethics.
This is a high profile and hugely important role for Mayhew as our Head of Kennels oversees each dog's journey through Mayhew from in-take to assessment and then to rehoming. Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, foster carers, adopters, other charities and rescues and members of the public, our Head of Kennels is instrumental in ensuring that our dogs have all they need - from feeding, exercising, cleaning, and socialising to finding their perfect forever home. Leading a small team, our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing all aspects of our dog in-takes, adoptions, fostering and Pet Refuge (read more here), managing our capacity to ensure we help as many dogs as we can and ensuring our dogs are rehomed to a home suited to their individual needs as soon as possible.

Generally, you will:
- Lead and manage our kennels and ensure the very best care and support is given to each of our dogs

- Manage your team in an inclusive and collaborative way, enabling and empowering them
- Engage and collaborate with senior staff to ensure effective delivery of our strategic and operational goals
To be successful in this role, you need relevant experience in:
- Experience working with dogs in a shelter environment
- Strong knowledge of dog behaviour, training and welfare
- Experience of successfully motivating, managing, and developing a high performing team and managing performance
- Experience of effectively managing competing and changeable priorities, a high workload and multiple complex issues and tasks
Emotional Health and Wellbeing services opening hours supports the needs of the communities in which we work, and therefore there are elements of unsociable hours - this may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

The post holder will support Children, Young People, and Young Adults in our Emotional Health & Wellbeing services based in Coventry & Warwickshire by offering low intensity support under a brief intervention framework.
It is planned to offer one drop in a week in both Coventry & Warwickshire - the day of the week is to be agreed and venues to be identified. The 17.5 hours a week can be worked over the two agreed days if required and the posts will be based at home therefore mileage will be paid from home address to the venue
The nature of the Emotional Health & Wellbeing services the ability to build relationships quickly, identify risks, and process further support is vital.
In order to be considered for this post you will have to demonstrate that you already have:
Skills
-Experience of management and supervision of staff and volunteers: (following the necessary training and support
-Computer literate and is able to navigate a data management system (after training is provided)
-Excellent verbal and written Communication skills, including telephone skills
-Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with all clients - Practicing in a non-judgement and anti-discriminatory manner

-Ability to evaluate and put in place the effect of training

Work-based Knowledge
-Knowledge of anxiety and depression presentations in Primary Care and an understanding of evidence based interventions.
-Demonstrates knowledge of the issues surrounding socio- economic factors and mental health.
-Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding legislation, policy and procedures and risks for children, young people and young adults aged 0-25.
-Able to demonstrate a knowledge of the issues that children, young people and young adults face when accessing mental health services.
