Job description

Community Counsellor
Billingshurst & Chichester
Fixed Term until 31 October 2021
12 hours per week
Thursday 12pm-6pm and one additional week day
£28,855 per annum (pro-rata), £9,358.37 (actual for 12 hours)

An opportunity has arisen to join YMCA Dialogue in our West Sussex Community Counselling project to offer assessments & counselling to children & young people within the newly commissioned ‘blended’ tier 2 Counselling Service for young people aged 11-18 with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

You will be required to work within the framework of an 8-session model, and carry out individual assessments, offer face-to-face counselling or online counselling and group work to children & young people. You will work with the project administrator and counselling coordinator to ensure high quality delivery of service.

You must be a qualified counsellor, who is experienced in working with children and young people, have 2 years post qualifying experience. You will need to be BACP Registered/Accredited or registered with another recognised professional body (e.g. HPC, UKCP).
