About the Donated Stock Team
The Donated Stock Team is responsible for driving stock donations across the whole of retail and stimulating partnerships that will lead to stock donations. We also work on for brand awareness through social media to encourage more people to donate stock.
The team is incredibly passionate about the work they do and are proud of their achievements, including increasing stock donations by +50% year-to-date and winning the Sense Team Award for Professional excellence. This role provides our team the support to help raise income through our shops with a focus on helping us coordinate our stock and by providing administrative support.
Key duties
· Answering queries from the Sense shops.
· Supporting with donated stock campaigns.
· Carry out activities to promote stock generation.
· Data administration tasks.
· Promote volunteering and fundraising opportunities within local communities.

Discovery Catering Volunteer Wanted

We are looking for a volunteer to help support us during our monthly pop-up cafes.
The role is a great opportunity for someone with a love of cooking to share their skills and/or learn more about vegetarian and vegan cooking.
As a volunteer for bemix you are also part of our wider social movement, working to achieve equality for people with learning difficulties and/or autism.
Role and responsibilities
Main aim: To support the group members prepare and serve vegetarian and vegan meals, including greeting customers and taking payment for meals at our monthly pop-up cafe.
Location: Westgate Hall, Canterbury City Centre.
Salary: This position is unpaid.
Expenses: Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed. Please let us know details about where you will be travelling from and how much this will cost, when you apply.
Hours: Between 4 to 6 hours per month. 10am – 2pm / 4pm. Working with the Discovery Catering team one day each month, on a Tuesday.
Start date and Duration: To start as soon as possible, once DBS and References have been received and continue on an ongoing basis subject to regular reviews.

We are looking for individuals with professional or lived experience of working with children in our Haringey Refuges. Our volunteer playworkers are passionate about play and providing a welcoming and safe space for all children.
About the Role
As a volunteer play worker, you will work in partnership with the Sessional Play Worker and Family Support Worker in the planning and delivery of play sessions. Most children will be between the ages of 2-5 years.
Playworker volunteers will lead and assist a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, games, etc. to engage and support the children’s emotional wellbeing and enhance their confidence and resilience. Activity sessions will be carried out in the refuges, supported by the Sessional Play worker.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking volunteers who have:
- Shared vision, mission and values of Solace Women’s Aid
- Professional and/or lived experience of working with children
- Understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people
- Ability to communicate effectively with children aged 0-5, parents and staff
- Basic knowledge of child development
- Organisation and time management skills
Although not essential, we would welcome applications from volunteers who have a formal qualification in working with children, young people and families, or who have knowledge of trauma-informed approaches to working with children and young people.

We provide litter pickers and bin bags for you to use.
We will do quick analysis of rubbish. Prizes will be awarded for the most litter collected and the most bizarre item found!
There will also be the opportunity to learn about Cumbrian marine life.

Are you good at navigating? We are recruiting for a Travel Assistance volunteer to support our service users with travelling to and from sessions, whether it be by train, bus or by foot.
Our Modern Slavery Team have a new 6-week program for Mums and their children to attend starting on the 20th of March, however extra support is needed for service users who need help getting there. Your role will be to meet the service users from their safe house and travel with them to these sessions. As our service users attending these sessions will be living in different locations, we don't have a specific location for the role. Please note that we do reimburse travel expenses!

Do you have experience in working with children? We are recruiting for a Childrens Support Volunteer to provide supervision for approximately 1-4 children of varying ages during our monthly co-production meetings at Head Office.
