We are looking for a permanent and full-time member of staff to help develop and manage RSTMH’s profile within tropical medicine and global health. We need a passionate and creative communicator who can play a key role in meeting our communications objectives. This role is office-based in central London, with the option to work from home on Mondays.
RSTMH is a membership society formed in 1907, with around 1,800 members and Fellows in over 100 countries. We work to improve tropical medicine and global health by enabling and promoting research, sharing knowledge and convening networks through our members and Fellows and beyond. The Communications Manager will have the opportunity to develop and enhance RSTMH’s reputation as a credible and trusted voice in tropical medicine and global health.
This is a wide-ranging and exciting role. You will lead on implementing the organisation’s communications strategy, working with the leadership team to ensure it meets the aims of the wider RSTMH strategy. You’ll maintain and further develop the website and social media platforms, build links with media contacts, and source, commission and develop content. You’ll manage relationships with key suppliers, including website developers, strategic partners, digital media and creative agencies. You’ll also be responsible for delivering RSTMH’s newsletters to our members and Fellows, and global network of supporters.
We’re looking for someone ambitious and solutions-focused with a passion for communications to deliver creative and innovative content. You’ll have the ability to engage people in the technical areas of our work as well as the nature of the societal problems and context we’re seeking to improve, and establish analytical systems to monitor our progress.
The Role
- Implement RSTMH’s communications strategy, in line with the wider organisational goals
- Full ownership of the website, including content updating and monitoring for consistency and currency, managing any development work and integration with other systems
- Manage social media channels for RSTMH, and develop strategies to engage wider networks
- Accountable for our joint venture website, grow: including developing a strategy for updating and maintaining the listings and income generation through advertising and/or sponsored posts
- Commission, source, write, edit and proofread engaging and relevant content for the website and social media channels, providing editorial support as required and building a network of expert contributors
- Track engagement across media channels and email marketing, and produce monthly reports for leadership team showing activity
- Ensure RSTMH’s brand and editorial guidelines are maintained in all of the Society’s work, including all communications by the team

Person Specification
Essential experience
- 5 years’ experience within a digital communication role
- 3 years’ experience developing and maintaining websites and social media for a campaign, cause or organisation
- Proven experience working in an editorial capacity, developing compelling copy for online audiences, with a varied portfolio of written work
- Experience of digital content creation, commissioning and management
- Proficiency in HTML newsletter creation, working to tight deadlines, collaborating with other departments, and using mail clients
- Experience of managing suppliers, partners and contributors
- Familiarity with design software for creating digital assets, such as Canva
- Knowledge of CRM databases
- Experience with digital advertising and promoted social media posts, analysing trends, reviewing efficacy, and adjusting campaigns in real time

Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Storytelling

Role Summary
Our current Director of Finance & Operations will be going on maternity leave in mid-October 2025 and we are looking for an experienced and energetic interim Director of Finance & Operations who will be able to hit the ground running in overseeing all of our finance, HR and operations, which underpin our core mission and work to support babies, families and health professionals across the neonatal community.

-Has significant accountancy experience, with knowledge and experience of charity finance

At Northampton Students’ Union, our Sports Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enriching the student experience through sport. By overseeing over 35 free-to-join sports clubs, they ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students, regardless of background or ability. What you would be doing:
- Leading the strategy and delivery of philanthropic income from Trusts, Foundations, and Corporates in the UK and globally.
- Cultivating and stewarding high-value relationships with institutional funders, aligning their interests with Imperial’s strategic priorities.
- Driving fundraising for entrepreneurship initiatives including the Enterprise Lab, Advanced Hackspace, and White City Incubator.
- Collaborating with senior academics and administrative leaders to develop compelling funding proposals for complex, multi-year projects.
- Managing and mentoring a high-performing team, setting ambitious goals and supporting their professional growth.
- Contributing to the wider university fundraising strategy and campaign planning.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a visionary and experienced fundraiser who can:
- Demonstrate a strong track record of securing major gifts (seven and ideally eight figures) from Trusts, Foundations, and Corporates.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels.
- Extensive senior-level fundraising experience.
- Strong understanding of donor stewardship and relationship management.
- A collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach.
- Communicate with clarity and impact—both in writing and in person.
- Lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Room to Heal is an established therapeutic community in London. We support refugees and people seeking asylum, many of whom are torture survivors, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance, in the context of a community of survivors. Our approach recognises the political context of our community members’ multiple and ongoing experiences of trauma and marginalisation including in their home country, on their journey to, and within, the UK. The Royal Osteoporosis Society – Director of Income and Engagement
Location: Dependant on distance, the role will be either fully remote with occasional travel to the Bath office (around once per quarter), or hybrid for those based nearby.
Salary: £102,000 per annum.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS), the UK’s largest national charity dedicated to improving bone health and beating osteoporosis, is seeking a bold and dynamic fundraising and communications leader who can drive transformative income growth and galvanise public engagement.
Half of women aged over 50 live with osteoporosis, plus a fifth of men. The condition causes bones to break (fracture) following everyday occurrences – e.g. sneezes, coughs and falls. Fractures are the fourth worst cause of disability and premature death, but most people with osteoporosis are undiagnosed.
ROS works to improve diagnosis and access to care for the unacceptably high number of people whose lives risk being destroyed by this highly treatable condition each day. They equip people with practical information and support to take action on their bone health and, working with healthcare professionals and academics, influence and shape policy and practice at every level. The charity’s research arm is investigating new diagnostic approaches, including the world’s first screening programme, as well as novel treatments to beat osteoporosis for good.
This is a pivotal time for ROS as they aim to seize on momentum garnered from half a million people checking their risk, two national media partnerships, a groundbreaking Ministerial pledge to roll-out early diagnosis clinics to every area, and more people than ever engaging with their services. They aim to lead a movement for change around bone health similar to those that have gained widespread attention by menopause and prostate cancer campaigners.
To capitalise on this momentum and as the charity prepares for its 40th anniversary, the time is right for ROS to step up fundraising and public engagement to address one of the most urgent threats to people living well in later life and meet the charity’s vision - No more broken bones, no more broken lives. To achieve this, the ROS Board has committed to investing up to 80% of annual designated spent into developing fundraising every year up to 2030.
To deliver on this investment, the ROS team is seeking a creative and inspiring fundraising and communications leader who can build strong partnerships, harness digital innovation and create and deepen supporter journeys to convert awareness into long-term support.
As well as driving the delivery of a transformational audience-centric growth strategy, the role-holder will also be responsible for building a powerful organisational brand to reflect ROS’s vision and impact, as well as compelling communications and media plans to drive momentum. They will lead and motivate a high-performing team, as well as embedding a fundraising culture across the organisation and acting as a key ambassador for the cause.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of senior leadership experience and possess outstanding business acumen. They will have proven success in developing and delivering income generation and communication strategies within the health or not-for-profit sector. They should also have extensive experience of setting and delivering an organisational income development vision and securing buy-in from colleagues at the most senior level. Experience in building and maintaining a strong brand profile and of driving impactful communications and PR to underpin income generation will be essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across department boundaries and externally to achieve organisational goals. Finally, they will have a ‘can do’ personality with the gravitas, energy, creativity and solutions-focused mindset to drive transformative income growth.

Our client is a free-to-attend sixth form academy split over two sites for 16-19 years olds in London. They teach 1200 young people every year and their mission is to transform the lives of young people by providing access to a world-class creative education – regardless of background. They now seek a Foundation Director on a maternity cover contract and Prospectus is excited to lead the search.
As Foundation Director, you will be responsible for personally driving fundraising over the two sites in North and East London and will balance strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery fundraising from trusts and foundations, corporates and individuals. You will be joining at the start of a new academic and financial year and will ensure fundraising targets are met over the 12 months and will provide brilliant stewardship of existing donors in a meaningful and creative way.
The selected candidate will have a proven track record of raising six figure donations through personalised and sophisticated approaches to donors and will have examples of personally leading cultivation and stewardship of trusts and foundations, individuals, and corporate partners. The postholder will have a robust track record of managing Boards and/or high net worth senior volunteers.
