Job description

Please note this is a fixed term position for 10 months, reviewed after 3 months.

In light of the current health crisis, we are recruiting for a Client Support Coordinator to ensure women and children affected by abuse during the pandemic and beyond are able to access support online, by email and through our information line. 

The Sharan Project is a registered charity supporting women, particularly women from South Asian origin who are at risk of or have been disowned by their families and communities due to abuse or persecution, to include but not limited to: domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour abuse, FGM and other harmful practices. 

About the Role

This is an exciting new position to develop our client support services. You will be responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of up to 4 client support volunteers to ensure they are deployed to provide coordinated and effective virtual support, assistance and information to women, families, front line professionals and others as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with external agencies and suppliers.

About You

You will have excellent project management  skills and demonstrable experience of managing a team, be a good communicator, a quick learner, excellent presentation, administration and IT skills, ability to manage high and complex workloads and ability to work safely and confidently from home with some travel where required. 

We're looking for highly organised and self motivated applicants with a "can do" approach, a strong working knowledge of the issues experienced by BAME women and commitment to end violence against women and girls. You will receive support, training and learning development for this role as necessary
