About the role
The Director of Operations leads all our member-facing services and operations to ensure that these services run effectively. The post holder is responsible for overseeing business planning and managing income streams, ensuring financial sustainability. They will maintain all relationships with local authorities, Integrated Care Boards, and private funders, ensuring the quality of services and adherence to best practices, regulations, and legislation.

- Provide strategic leadership to the service leads for all our member-facing services, and the administration and premises team to ensure the efficient delivery, quality, and consistency of services, guided by the principles of co-production.
- Oversee the development of plans and strategies for each team and instil a sense of collaboration, common goals, and working together across the departments to ensure the sustainability of our services.

- Build good relationships with stakeholders in the boroughs we serve to develop opportunities for growth and development of our services.

About the Role

JOB PURPOSE
The Children and Young People’s Mentor will work within the CYP team to deliver services relating to children and young people affected by Domestic violence and Abuse.
They will hold a caseload for direct 1-1 work with young people/ girls and deliver a programme of groups in schools to adolescent girls. Responsibilities will include recording of data, reporting and completing evaluations.
They will be expected to promote the work of the Rising Sun and take a share of responsibility in delivering or assisting with promotional work within the organisation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service delivery
- Work 1-1 with young people (aged 11 to 15 years) affected by Domestic violence and Abuse
- Build positive working relationships with local schools to deliver this programme
- Hold own caseload and respond in a way that understands the needs of the young people the Rising Sun supports
- Work in a mentoring capacity with children and adolescents with a specific focus on domestic abuse and its impact
- Recognise the impact of domestic abuse on young people and families; showing empathy and understanding in working with these families and developing the capacity to adopt a trauma informed approach to the work
- Support and facilitate groups in schools and in the community focusing on healthy relationships, spotting red flags etc
- Work flexibly with young people and meet with them in a variety of settings such as schools, colleges and community centres, depending on their needs

As Exams Assistant you will support the day to day running of the examinations with a particular focus on question bank management. You will be working with the Examinations Team and examiners across all specialties. Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

The First Contact Navigators play a central role in the CARA team, ensuring that our service users and other agencies receive a high-quality service from the moment of first contact. You will work as part of a wider team of First Contact Navigators across Essex and the post liaises with clients, the CARA team and external agencies, providing advice, support and information.
The First Contact Navigator will engage with individuals who are experiencing, or who have experienced, sexual violence and or sexual abuse who require information, signposting and short-term support. You will be the first contact and conduct first meetings, managing your own caseload and co-ordinating personalised support for individuals on their pathway to wellbeing. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will support people who use CARA services to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, maximising their independence and engaging in appropriate community or clinical resources. You will work collaboratively with service users, the CARA team and other professional agencies to navigate and coordinate services.
The main responsibilities of the post are:
• To act as a first point of contact for new referrals and enquiries, providing information, emotional support, advice and signposting.
• To complete first contact calls and assessments with clients over the telephone.
• To ensure information about new referrals/enquiries is accurately recorded on CARA’s database in real time.
• To work collaboratively and build trust with service users, agencies, personal and professional support networks to collate relevant information to effect individualised support requirements.
• To assess and engage service users not currently engaged in appropriate specialist sexual violence services.
• To seek and respond to referrals from a variety of internal and external sources.
• To assist survivors and relatives/supporters of survivors in understanding the range of resources and services available to them.
• To support service users to engage effectively with appropriate services to meet their individual needs and aspirations.
• To work as a link between clients, CARA staff and external agencies, ensuring appropriate information is passed on.
• To work closely with the Essex-wide team of First Contact Navigators and Information and Referral Coordinators to ensure effective referral processes across Essex.
• To act as a point of contact for external agencies making referrals to CARA, answering queries about our referral process.
• To cover the enquiry line and the office phone and deal with enquiries as required.
• To pro-actively promote CARA’s services to external agencies, ensuring they are aware of our referral procedures.
• To contribute to development of promotional information, to ensure information about the referral process is clear and accessible.
• To attend regular team meetings and to work with colleagues to further the objectives of CARA.
• To adhere in full to all CARA’s organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding procedures.
• To report to the Service Development Manager, Head of Operations, CEO and Trustees as required, including the production of regular written reports.
• To be administratively self-servicing.
• To undertake any other related activities as required by the Head of Operations, CEO or the Chair of the Board of Trustees.
• To take on new client, office and administration responsibilities as CARA develops.

Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on growing income from trusts and foundations, support fundraising from high-net worth individuals, and provide administration support to our CEO.
Working with the Senior Partnerships Manager and Partnerships Manager you will focus on developing our small portfolio of existing trusts and foundations as well as prospects, support with delivering excellent stewardship and engagement, and lead on prospect research to attract and secure new funders.

This role is critical in ensuring that World Jewish Relief continues to grow and engage a wide-ranging audience, raising funds in support of our inspirational projects and programmes worldwide.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the events team in the planning, coordinating, administration and delivery of World Jewish Relief events including our flagship Annual Dinner.
- Managing and leading on the planning of smaller engagement and fundraising events both in person and online.
- Supporting and overseeing World Jewish Relief’s Young Committee by assisting with the delivery of their events and attending committee meetings
- Liaising with colleagues and partners to organise supporter Insight Trips: creating itineraries, booking transport and managing all details.
- Supporting and assisting donors who are planning events to raise funds for World Jewish Relief.

You should have:
- Proven experience in event planning, coordination and delivery to a high standard, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of event fundraising techniques and sector trends.
- Experience using a database (ideally Raiser’s Edge) to the highest level, both to record and analyse information.
- Experience in successfully managing numerous priorities at one time, meeting tight and non-negotiable deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Excellent administrative skills, impeccable accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to use your own initiative, make quick and independent decisions where necessary and to work under pressure.
