About the Opportunity
Join our ambitious fundraising team and play a vital role in retaining and developing supporters to raise income for the Charity. You’ll have a passion for donor centric communications and enjoy working across multi-channel campaigns. You’ll bring experience in excellent supporter stewardship and writing for different audiences across both print and digital formats.
About you
You've gained experience within a fundraising team and have knowledge about the needs of charitable donors. Understanding of a CRM or database is essential in order to deliver supporter journeys and manage donor data. You'll have worked in a similar role previously where you've written for a variety of audiences across multiple channels. Experience of end of end project management for delivering a printed magazine is essential, as this is a large part of this role. As well as working knowledge of email marketing tools and analytics.

About you
You are a confident and thoughtful communications professional with strong writing skills and a sharp eye for detail. You are comfortable drafting, editing and proofing a range of communications materials, and you understand the importance of accuracy, clarity and tone when working in a press office environment.
You have experience dealing with journalists and media enquiries in a professional and measured way, and you are able to exercise good judgement under pressure. You are confident translating complex medical, technical or policy information into clear, engaging content for a range of audiences, while ensuring messages remain accurate and appropriate.
You enjoy working collaboratively and are comfortable building positive working relationships across teams, including marketing, policy and public affairs. You are able to contribute effectively to communications activity on sensitive or high-profile issues, handling these with care, discretion and sound judgement to protect organisational reputation.

About the role
We’re looking for a Virtual Fundraising Senior Officer with event management skills to join our brilliant Mass Participation team.
Our ambitious virtual fundraising team recruits over 11,500 virtual fundraisers every year and this role will play a key role in delivering an unforgettable experience to these supporters. You'll be responsible for the delivery and growth of multiple virtual fundraising challenges, ensuring exceptional multichannel stewardship is delivered while driving ambitious participation and income targets.
Your focus will be to project manager the larger virtual events in our portfolio while taking a data- driven approach to analyse performance, optimise processes and identify opportunities for innovation. This new role will be pivotal to elevating our publication, and supporting strong narratives across our communications.This is a hands on role, with an opportunity to help shape our communications and TSL as we approach the SLA’s ninetieth year in 2027.
You will be an experienced editor and content creator. Creative and with a strong eye for detail, you will be confident in overseeing the publications process, alongside copy-editing, proofing and commissioning content and associated administration. You will enjoy opportunities to apply your creative skills to creating interesting and engaging content to support our outputs. As we develop new ways of working, your insight and ideas will help support new activity. You will be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and happy to get stuck in as needed. Areas of work include managing production of The School Librarian journal which publishes three times per year, developing a strong understanding of the TSL audience, its circulation and readership figures to inform content development and identify opportunities to attract new subscribers. You will also contribute to digital communication and content strategy across the organisation, helping to determine the best platforms or channels for a variety of content types. While leading on TSL, you will also support content creation for our newsletters, website and social media, working with the Publicity and Partnerships Manager to determine the most appropriate format for different stories, features or news items.
The salary for this position is £24, 324.32 per anum (based on FTE £30,000) for 30 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

About the Role
As a key member of Big C’s Executive leadership team, you will bring a specialist knowledge of cancer and act as an ambassador for the charity in this area of expertise.
You will serve as the clinical lead for the charity with leadership and management responsibilities of our Cancer Support Centres and Hubs, our Health Academy programmes, and of the teams that deliver them. This includes collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, sustainable services for anyone affected by cancer. An example we are proud of is the practical help with social and financial concerns through our Citizens Advice welfare advisors.
You will also support the Chief Executive with the strategic development and direction of Big C’s cancer support services and health academy programmes. This role requires clinical expertise and demonstrable experience to successfully lead the delivery of Big C’s charitable operations to meet rising demand.
On occasion, like other members of the Executive team, you will be required to deputise for the Chief Executive in their absence.
Location: You will be based in Big C’s office in Centrum, a bright and modern building on Norwich Research Park. Informally, some home working is possible, but you will need to work from the office and other Big C sites regularly.

WHO WE ARE
Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.
Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. Animal Equality also advocates for political change. Our current campaigns include a UK ban on foie gras imports, increased enforcement of existing animal protection laws, legal protections for farmed fish, and Government subsidies for transitioning towards a plant-based food system.
We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected, and are no longer exploited for human consumption.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Communications Coordinator will play a key role in shaping Animal Equality UK’s public voice. The postholder will ensure all outgoing content, both digital and print, aligns with our brand, values, and mission.
This role will lead on paid digital marketing and lead-generation activities to grow our supporter and donor base; oversee video production; manage website content; optimise organic and paid reach; support SEO strategy; and ensure consistent day-to-day engagement across our social media channels.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across all UK departments, particularly Marketing and Campaigns, as well as with international colleagues, to maximise our impact for farmed animals.

- Provide inspirational leadership and clear strategic direction for the Freshly Greated CPP programme.
- Lead the implementation of the programme with creativity and a strong commitment to its aims and objectives.
- Develop and nurture the key partnerships in Great Yarmouth and beyond that support the programme’s sustainability and growth.
The Executive Director leads the Freshly Greated programme, working closely with the Freshly Greated Consortium, Arts Council England (ACE), freelancers, volunteer Community Producers and the wider local community. The Director manages a small, multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for the programme’s creative direction, partnership development, financial sustainability, evaluation, compliance and will also develop and lead an ambitious, co-created community-led arts and culture programme that has action research and evaluation at its core.
Freshly Greated is a year round programme which includes award winning youth participation and intergenerational projects across three neighbourhoods. In partnership with Out There Arts, Freshly Greated create vibrant public celebrations across parks, beaches, and town spaces, inspired by local stories. Last year, 61,942 residents took part in workshops, events, and festivals that are free, inclusive, and locally led. All Community Producers agree Freshly Greated proves everyone is creative, builds skills, and strengthens community spirit - 94% say it increases local pride, and 91% believe it makes Great Yarmouth a better place to live.

Working closely with the Head of Charity, you will play a key role in bringing our bold three-year strategy to life, helping us grow income across multiple streams and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a fast-moving, high-impact charity.

You will work hand-in-hand with the Head of Charity to drive income across a diverse mix of fundraising steams, from community, events and individual giving to corporate partnerships and trusts. You will also be the friendly, first point of contact for many of our supporters, offering thoughtful stewardship, responding to enquiries, and making sure every donor feels appreciated and connected to the impact they are making.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues including those in charity finance, our fund advisors and key stakeholders within the hospital senior leadership team. You’ll stay on top of budgets to inform your fundraising decisions and grow a culture of income awareness across the Charity and Trust.
