The Role of Diocesan Housing Surveyor
We are looking for someone who can work alongside the Diocesan Property Manager, and Property Officer, to assist in the management of the Clergy Housing stock comprising of 160 houses across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor
are:
- Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
- Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
- Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
- Arrange stock condition surveys.
- Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.
- Prepare schedules of work and cost budgets, agree these with the Property Manager before tendering to approved contractors.
What we are looking for in a Diocesan Housing Surveyor:
· Driving Licence with access to own car
· Previous experience of managing small works contracts
· Working knowledge of residential building defects and their resolution
· Proven awareness of health and safety with regard to building management and works contracts.
· Being responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of properties whilst remaining within budgetary and time constraints
· Degree Level or relevant experience commensurate to the role
· Evidence for continuing professional development.
· Familiarity using a modern Property Management software package.
This post reports to the Property Manager and is based in the Diocesan Offices in Coventry.

Job Overview:
- Reporting to the CEO the postholder is responsible for OneKind’s Charities fundraising income streams and communications.

Key Accountabilities:
Organisational Strategy
- Develop a strong collaborative working relationship with the CEO, supporting with strategic decision-making and delivery.

- Focus on donor recruitment, retention, stewardship and legacy fundraising (diversification is key).
Operations
· Fundraising and Marketing - Plan and deliver fundraising and marketing activities, including digital, to increase engagement and voluntary income via individual donors, clubs, associations, corporate organisations, fundraising events, Trust and Foundations funders and through legacy giving.
· Financial Responsibility - Grow income by careful targeting of the fundraising budget toward cost effective activities such as running appeals, securing legacies and grants, and working with major donors.
· Reporting & analysis - To take the lead in research activity to monitor, evaluate, inform and improve external stakeholder and influencer engagement with OneKind to identify new opportunities.
· People - Work closely with the wider team to ensure income generation is embedded within our policy and campaigns work.

The NSPCC relies on voluntary income for the majority of its work to keep children safe,
prevent abuse and ensure every child has a voice. To secure long -term sustainability, the
charity has reshaped how it engages supporters through the Engagement and Fun draising
Directorate. Within this, the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department brings together
high -value audiences and supporter -led income. The Volunteer Board Fundraising team
leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards , volunteer -led
fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event
committees . These activities play a vital role in maximising sustainable income, engaging
senior volunteers, and supporting long -term supporter relationships.

Fundraising Board which has been established for over 25 year s, initially as the NSPCC Full
Stop Appeal Board for Wales. The board has helped to lead and organise balls and dinners ,
overseas fundraising challenges and a variety of events in Wales and the rest of the UK. The
board’s ‘Building Brighter Futures’ appeal secured funding to build the NSPCC’s d edicated
Wales hub in Cardiff , Diane Engelhardt House , opened in 2010. The key focus of the current
board is to support the raising of over £1m annually from a range of supporter audiences
and promote the NSPCC across Wales by organising events (both fundraising and
engagement), establishing new contacts - primarily high net worth individuals and corporate
partners - and supporting the delivery of NSPCC services including recruitment of
volunteers and supporting access to NSPCC services.The team works closely with colleagues in Philanthropy and Partnerships (corporate
partnerships , major gifts, trusts and statutory ), Public Engagement (marketing, brand,
digital), and Fundraising Operations (data, compliance, finance, procurement) to ensure

Job Purpose
We are looking for a Research Programme Manager with a strong grounding in scientific research and expertise in grant management to take on a maternity cover within our small and tight-knit research team.
The role’s core responsibility will be to lead on the delivery of the Foundation’s translational grant funding schemes - our Catalyst Awards and Advancing Treatments Awards. The post holder will have a visible presence within the research community acting as an important point of contact between researchers, committee members (including people living with MND), peer reviewers and the charity.
They will be responsible for the successful delivery of a large portfolio of active projects by working closely with others in the team to ensure all awards are expertly administered, monitored, evaluated and reported against, ensuring the outputs are of the highest quality and supporting the charities activities. The post-holder will identify opportunities to communicate the progress or impact of the work we fund and work with the communications team to develop compelling communications for our supporters.
Key responsibilities
Grant Funding Programme
● Lead on the management of several grant funding schemes, as well as ad-hoc applications that come to the Foundation;
● Oversee the smooth running of application rounds, peer review and ensure that funding committees function in line with AMRC guidance;
● Be the main point of contact for the AMRC with regards to research management;
● Support the ongoing implementation and development of the Foundation’s Grant Management Software, Flexi-Grant, ensuring the research team are using the platform effectively;
● Manage project set-up including contracting, the development of detailed project plans, including go/no-go milestones and budgets;
● Work with the others in the team to oversee the research programme budget including planning, monitoring and forecasting; work with the Directors of Research and Finance to ensure that accurate research finance information is available for organisational budgeting and planning;

● Manage and oversee project delivery of the Foundation’s active project portfolio by:
○ Building and managing relationships with award holders and attending site visits;

○ Identifying opportunities for and approving any project communications.
● Work closely with others in the research team to implement an Impact Evaluation Framework, to evaluate the impact of the research we fund.
General Responsibilities
● Support the Director of Research to deliver the Foundation’s research strategy;

The ideal start date for this role will be between 6-13th April 2026 to ensure a handover with our Research Funding Manager.

- Leading on the development, delivery and oversight of Pancreatic Cancer UK’s research funding schemes including our Project Grants, Fellowships and Research Innovation Fund.
- Managing the governance of our funding schemes, ensuring applications are peer reviewed by technical experts and people with lived experience, and working with our Scientific Advisory Board to support them to make recommendations to our Board of Trustees on fundable applications.
- Supporting current patient and public involvement activities and shaping potential future activities by working with our Research Involvement Network made up of people affected by pancreatic cancer.
About You
- You bring a strong biomedical background with experience of navigating the full life-cycle of research funding — from running grant rounds to working with external committees — and have a proven track record of successful grant management.
- You understand the importance of patient and public involvement and can embed this thinking into research processes.
- You’re familiar with the UK cancer research landscape and/or research funding and the charity sector.

Role Purpose:
Working closely with the Director of Programmes to manage and help develop a portfolio of funds across Access’s enterprise grant, blended finance and capacity building work, the role holder will be the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of social investors, enterprise grant providers and other organisations funded by Access.
It is anticipated that this role holder may particularly specialise in the management of enterprise development funds, and those that are more local (place-based) throughout England.
The role will balance responsibilities including supporting and assessing funding proposals, managing performance via regular data submission and meetings, providing support from within and beyond Access’s own team, supporting peer learning between delivery partners and seeking to ensure that lessons and experience across Access’s programmes are maximised.

Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management
- Be the day to day point of contact for a portfolio of organisations who are applying for funding and/or delivering Access’s programmes.
- Build strong productive and supportive working relationships with delivery partners, in a spirit of collaborative endeavour and learning.
- Maintain comprehensive and clear records on Access’s systems of the status of the relationship and any key questions or issues which are currently being addressed.
- Seek to build an understanding of the underling impact of the delivery of our funds on the work of the charities and social enterprises they exist to support.
Performance Management
- Following an agreed pattern and schedule, regularly meet and speak to the delivery partners to receive updates on performance, and key issues.
- Ensure robust financial management of funds, including monitoring deployment targets of partners, managing budgets and the process for drawing funds from Access.
- Ensure that regular performance data is submitted to a high quality and in an agreed format with each delivery partner. Perform checks to ensure accuracy and check understanding with the delivery partner.
- Ensuring the uploading of data into Access’s management systems and producing the required performance reports for internal and external use.
- Use this performance data to analyse performance within each delivery partner and across the portfolio, including supporting the publication of a quarterly dashboard. Work closely with colleagues to identify trends and understand reasons for those trends.
- Work with delivery partners to address areas of under-performance, escalating issues where necessary to the Director of Programmes and Access committees.
Guidance and Support
- Use performance data and insight from different partners within the portfolio to identify opportunities to support partners with, for example, peer support around areas of good practice.
- Offer expertise within Access and across partner organisations to support delivery partners in particular aspects of their work.
- Where challenges are common across many delivery partners, work with colleagues and the Director of Programmes to develop shared solutions, tools, or learning resources which might address those challenges.
- Support the design and delivery of external events, including peer-learning events.
Facilitating and supporting decision making
- Reviewing and co-developing plans and proposals in collaboration with partners.
- Writing papers including assessment papers for Access committees, presenting clear information and context to aid understanding and decision making.
- Present analysis based on performance data and qualitative insight to inform decisions within the team about ongoing relationships with delivery partners.
- Actively participating in the peer-review of assessment papers produced by other colleagues in the Programmes team.
Supporting learning and programme design
- From data and insight gained through performance management, work with colleagues across Access to identify common themes within the portfolio to aid Access’s learning and influencing objectives.
- Work with the Director of Impact and Evaluation to analyse performance data and make it available for publishing in various forms.
- Based on learning gathered across the portfolio within the Programme team and across all of Access, work with the Director of Programmes to identify how programmes can be improved and developed.

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a small but growing charity, working to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,500 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 180 local and national businesses. The volunteer task is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

About the role

The Investment Director (ID) is a key member of the Investment Team, playing a leading role in identifying, assessing, and supporting portfolio partner charities and other non-profit organisations to deepen their impact and scale their outcomes. This role works closely with other Investment Directors and Investment Managers to deliver external facing support to portfolio partners as well as internal projects to support the development of the investment model and portfolio strategy.
Investment Directors use strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and senior relationship skills to support a portfolio of amazing organisations that, together, will help shift the life chances and outcomes of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK.
About the Investment Team
The Investment Team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our portfolio partners to improve and scale their impact.
The Investment Team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.
The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.
The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. Sector Leads line manage 6 Investment Directors. Investment Directors line manage Investment Managers (currently 5). Investment Directors and Investment Managers tend to primarily focus on a sector but might have mixed portfolios, depending on need, experience and interest.
The Investment Team has a good track record of role progression. All four Leads and a number of our Investment Directors were promoted from within the team.

Key responsibilities
Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio
- Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment
- Leading in-depth due diligence process within the scope of a grant round, to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential;
- Modelling from first contact of origination, our approach to engaged and trust-based investment management support;
- Developing and presenting high quality investment propositions to our Investment Committee.
Managing partnerships with portfolio partners
- Managing relationships with partner Chairs and CEOs
- Agreeing Service Funding Agreements, including appropriate annual investment milestones to allow for a clear assessment of re-investment potential at end of phase
- Regularly monitoring and assessing partner progress / risks against milestones and making evidence-based recommendations on progression or exit to Leads, Portfolio Director and the Investment Committee
- Escalating key risks on performance, leadership and safeguarding
- Conducting annual partnership review with Sector Leads and partner CEOs
- Working with Impetus Finance colleagues to ensure timely distribution of grant payments, in line with Service Funding Agreements.
Supporting portfolio partners
- Providing direct support to CEOs and senior colleagues on key strategic topics, using a mix of at least monthly one-to-one meetings and group facilitation to:
- clarify theory of change,
- define long term ambition,
- develop growth strategy
- achieve a step change in the delivery and performance management of outcomes,
- strengthen leadership (individual and collective) and governance capabilities,
- develop path to scale,
- build financial resilience;
- Scoping and project managing pro bono capacity-building projects (in addition to providing direct management support). Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and contribute to charity progression;
- Identifying engagement opportunities for our donors and supporters with portfolio partners that are aligned with the partner’s activities and do not distract or undermine their core work;
- Collaborating with the Impetus Philanthropy team to support the development of additional funding opportunities for portfolio partners, enhancing their ability to deliver impact at scale;
- Effectively leveraging the support of investment managers to advance the objectives developed for each portfolio partner that is managed by an Investment Director.
Support to Impetus
- Developing expertise about “what works” in the sector through cultivation and use of expert input and engagement as well as investigation into key research and evaluative literature;
- Contributing insights and learning from portfolio work to inform Impetus’ strategy, model and delivery;
- Contributing to internal priorities and working groups (e.g. team strategy discussions, digital improvement initiatives, or equity, diversity, and inclusion)
- Contribute towards Impetus’ public affairs and philanthropy objectives through input into case studies, research and policy campaigns, donor reports and fundraising events

Summary of the role:
The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.
The role includes mentoring and leading Management, supporting them to implement effective fundraising activity, achieve ambitious income and renewal targets year on year, and deliver high-quality stewardship experiences for supporters.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver MA’s cross organisational fundraising and marketing strategy with a focus on sustainable and reliable unrestricted income generation. This will include key activities, areas of required investment, KPIs and milestones as well as the projected growth of fundraising income.
- Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
- Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, strategic goals and Islamic values.
