The Role
Position: Community Fundraiser
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part-time or compressed hours can be considered)
Location: Homebased covering West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, East Sussex and Kent
Travel: To support with events and volunteers, this role requires regular travel. 

You'll raise awareness of Canine Partners in the South of England and maximise income from diverse community sources. A proactive approach is key to showcasing our work and charitable goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Focus on both stewarding existing relationships and cultivating new ones, ensuring an exceptional donor experience throughout
• Act as the entry point for long term supporters and be responsible for the visible presence in the community
• Meet income targets across the year through individuals, clubs and associations, volunteers, events and challenge events
• Contribute to the wider national Community Fundraising direction

About You

• Proven experience of effectively managing relationships with volunteers, supporters, and/or external stakeholders/audiences
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
• Demonstrable experience in community fundraising and/or events management
• Ability to manage a varied workload and take initiative to prioritise
• Proven record of securing, growing or maintaining income, funding, contracts, partnerships or comparable resources 
• Fundraising experience could be beneficial but not essential
• Physical ability to lift bulky and heavy equipment, to stand for long periods and to travel as required for the role

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving trusts, foundations and statutory portfolio – and help shape its growing future. You’ll join a small, dedicated team at a pivotal moment, as we build our 2026–2028 income strategy.

Reprieve has longstanding, committed donors, a newly established prospecting programme and a healthy unrestricted-to-restricted income mix – meaning genuine scope to package existing programmes into new applications and grow income meaningfully. Working closely with the Head of Development, you’ll help steward key donor relationships, secure new grants, and lead reporting and donor communications.

Terms

The role is a full-time (five days per week) on an 18-month fixed-term. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home. We are seeking a strategic and creative Individual Giving & Engagement Fundraiser to grow supporter income and deepen relationships with individuals passionate supporting adults with neurological conditions and their unpaid carers.

This role will lead the organisation’s individual giving programme, developing strategies to attract, engage and retain supporters while increasing sustainable income.

Working closely with the fundraising and communications team, you will oversee campaigns, supporter journeys and fundraising appeals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and delivery of the individual giving strategy
• Managing campaigns across digital, social and supporter communications channels

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes.

Working closely with the Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will play a pivotal role in increasing income from trusts and foundations by developing and managing a strong pipeline of funders, securing new grants, and building long-term relationships that lead to increased and multi-year support. You will research and prepare compelling applications to both new and existing funders, alongside producing timely, engaging reports that clearly demonstrate impact.

This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual with a passion for writing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional cultivation, stewardship and relationship management of trusts and foundations aligned with our mission.

Your work will directly support hospice at home care, specialist play services, and meaningful family days out for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions – making a tangible difference to families during the most difficult of times.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week working from home – applicants must live within Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire (or surrounding counties)

Salary: £19,800 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (£33,000 FTE per annum)

Key requirements:

• Work with the Head of Trusts & Foundations to agreed income targets and growth.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of small and medium trusts and foundations (giving up to £10,000).
• Produce high-quality, tailored applications to prospective funders aligned with agreed criteria.
• Prepare meaningful update reports, demonstrating the impact of a funder’s support, whilst ensuring all reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
• Deliver excellent relationship management and stewardship through regular reporting and tailored communications.
• Conduct prospect research to identify and prioritise new trust funding opportunities aligned with The Pepper Foundation’s work.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications on the Donorfy CRM database whilst keeping abreast of GDPR.
• Stay up to date with current trends in trust fundraising.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice, and internal Safeguarding Policies.
