Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the effective delivery of the Creating Community Connections Pilot, ensuring the successful delivery of the pilot project, balancing the demands of supporting the various partnerships between funders, providers, and stakeholders to collectively deliver the required impact and ensure contract compliance.

Creating Community Connections is a three-year Domestic Abuse (DA) pilot Project, funded by HMPPS. The project is led by a partnership of women’s centre providers - Women in Prison, Anawim, Together Women, and Nelson Trust and aims to connect women in prisons with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially women's centres and organisations providing support around DA. By connecting prisons and women in custody to a network of local women’s services, we hope to aid resettlement and support engagement with holistic support to meet women’s needs, address root causes of offending, improve outcomes on release and intercept cycles of trauma, disadvantage, and abuse, with a particular focus on DA services. The project will ultimately support women who have experienced domestic abuse and work with them so that their experiences do not negatively influence their opportunity of successful resettlement back into the community.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. To lead and take accountability for the delivery of the Creating Community Connections (CCC) project.
2. To actively engage with funders, stakeholders, delivery partners and the internal team(s), to build a solid understanding of the CCC Project.
3. Provide effective leadership to direct reports, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
4. To have oversight on a cross-organisational basis of leading practice in project management methodologies, tools and techniques advising teams and colleagues on suitable approaches to ensure the effective delivery of a range of diverse projects and programmes.

We are currently looking for a Boat Station Manager to join our team.

About the role

The manager is instrumental in facilitating and delivering life changing, positive on the water experiences for young people. As an expert practitioner, they will provide leadership, development and mentoring to their team of instructors. The post will require strong organisational skills.

The Manager is an employee of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets based at our Crosby Boat Station. The post holder is required to hold and maintain the following qualifications as a condition of employment: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor and RYA Powerboat Instructor.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage a water-sports training facility in the Liverpool area for all Sea Cadet Units and other affiliates to the Boat Station.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the Boat Station.
• Ensure that all visiting groups and their staff are fully briefed on the Boat Station’s policies and procedures and that there is adequate supervision of Cadets and young people at the facility, so as to discharge their duty of care for them.
• Oversee the Chief Instructor and all other sessional Instructors using the Boat Station.
• Manage the Boat Station’s accounts in liaison with the Regional Finance Manager including day to day fees.
• Ensure that best practise in accordance with the NGB guidelines and requirements following our Inshore Boating Operating Standard.

The Role
As part of our ongoing strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated, strategic and creative individual to take ownership of our marketing and communications function — helping raise the profile of the service, strengthen brand visibility, and support our ambitious income goals. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and development of SCAA’s brand, marketing and communications function. They will lead and manage a small in-house team as well as external consultants and contractors, as required  — ensuring that all content, campaigns and communications align with our brand, engage our audiences effectively, and support organisational goals across fundraising, awareness and supporter engagement. With a strong focus on brand management, digital growth, and content oversight, this role will ensure that SCAA’s voice is consistent, compelling and clearly connected to our ambition that no one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, where our emergency response helicopters and operational crew are located.  The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however this role may involve occasional evening or weekend work, as well as the occasional requirement to provide media on-call cover. About You:

• Previous experience in a marketing and communications management role.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. • Provide high level administrative support to the Directors.
• Exercise judgement in prioritisation, dealing with matters within own remit and / or referring them to the director as and when necessary, ensuring tact, discretion and courtesy at all times.

• Monitor the email inbox of the Director(s), responding where relevant and highlighting any urgent messages to Director.
• Draft, edit and format documents
• Arrange travel bookings / itineraries

• Keep Emergency Procedures File up to date.
• Monitor team PDR dates, and keep Director(s) updated in this regard; schedule PDRs for Director’s direct reports.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on World Cancer Research Fund International’s Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). CUP Global (previously known as CUP) is a unique, long-standing, and rigorous research programme that systematically gathers, analyses, and judges the strength of the global evidence on how diet, nutrition, physical activity and body weight affect cancer risk and survival. This work led to the publication of the authoritative Third Expert Report in 2018, which now needs updating in places to remain relevant and impactful. 

As Senior Research Interpretation Officer, you will be a valuable member of the Research Interpretation team and the CUP Global scientific Secretariat. Your core work will be supporting the management of CUP Global on a day-to-day basis to help deliver its main objective of updating the Third Expert Report. You will provide scientific input, administrative support, and help coordinate specific work areas of CUP Global.

We are looking to recruit someone who has a Masters degree in public health sciences, particularly nutrition and/or cancer research, and with a good understanding of epidemiological concepts. We are seeking someone with experience of writing scientifically, copywriting, editing and proofreading, with good attention to detail and with experience of reviewing and interpreting scientific research/literature. We are seeking an Exhibitions and Collections Projects Manager to join the Crafts Council on a permanent basis. This is a vital role in the Public Programmes team to oversee the maintenance and development of Crafts Council Collections and the delivery of key temporary exhibitions.

Reporting to the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, this role will ensure the Crafts Council Collections are documented and preserved to a high standard for future generations. They will also support the strategic development of the Crafts Council’s programme, managing relationships with external commercial partners, artists and institutions, overseeing project budgets and timelines and contributing to reporting and evaluation frameworks.

This is a dynamic and hands-on role which involves working across the organisation and beyond to deliver and communicate best practice in exhibition production and collection management.

• Lead dynamic teams of casual assistants, freelance technicians, designers, conservators and photographers as required
• Facilitate accessibility of the Crafts Council Collections including Primary, Handling, Archive, Oral Histories and Library. Leading on both online accessibility via Collections Online and ensuring the collection is available to its audiences physically
• Ensure maximum impact from National Lottery Heritage Funded project 'Craft for the People' Is achieved, ensuring crafts council collection is available to a wider amount of people and is more resilient
• Oversee management of upcoming loans, arranging object transportation, entry and exit processes, loan agreements, mounting and conservation, where needed
• Lead on loans marketing and collections income generation projects
• Oversee collection management projects, including acquisitions, auditing, condition checking, improving packing, image and copyright licensing, object photography, location and movement control. Recording Information on Crafts Council's CMS Museum Index +
• Review and improve collections storage processes, embed collections trust benchmarks in security, building management system for temperature and humidity control, pest and disaster management

As Research Associate you will work in the Corporate Performance Research workstream, which is home to our programmeʼs work on creating and developing methodologies, datasets, and guidance across our projects.

You will be responsible for Forest IQ at a methodological and planning level, enabling the delivery of the platform’s annual plans and releases. Forest IQ brings together aligned, best-in-class, and actionable data on how more than 2,400 major companies are addressing their links to deforestation and associated human rights abuses.

In particular, your work will focus on creating methodologies to enable the ingestion and alignment of a number of datasets, and overseeing the integration of these datasets for the bi-annual data releases.

This is a great role for an experienced research and data lead in the forestry and human rights space, who is also passionate about continuous improvement and following best practice. A well known local charity VASA is a small charity (turnover £350k) supporting 4,000 people across Rugby, Solihull East and South Warwickshire with community activities, dementia services and our community transport service.

Following the decision of our long serving Charity Manager to move on to pastures new, we are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Interim Charity Manager for an inital period of 6 months with the potential to be extended dependant subject to results and funding. The Interim will lead the charity forward building on relationships, strategy and partnerships fostered by our outgoing CM. 

Our volunteer-led services have grown in the last decade to meet the growing needs of our community thanks to our dedicated volunteers and a forward thinking Board of Trustees and ambitious strategic plan.

The interim postholder will be expected to continue on from the work of the outgoing CM and undertake an indepth review of the business, working with the trustees on the next phase of our strategic plan and look for a bold funding and operating strategy.
