We are recruiting a Queer Space Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of Greenwich’s Queer Space. Queer Space is for LGBTQIA+ individuals (18+) who live or have a GP in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and are looking to connect with others and get support for their mental health through engaging with peers.
As this service is peer-led, we are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual, with lived experience of LGBTQIA+ communities and mental health challenges, to coordinate the programme. This will include developing the service in line with service users' needs, facilitating the fortnightly sessions, and leading on project management and administration. Alongside this, we would like the Coordinator to recruit and supervise peer support volunteers to support with group facilitation.
You will have experience in group development, facilitation, and volunteer management, and an excellent understanding of service user engagement, particularly with the LGBTQIA+ community. You will be highly organised and proficient with case management tasks and project management administration.
Groups will be held at the Forum at Greenwich community centre and will take place twice a month, once in the evening and once in the afternoon.
The role is for two 7.5 hour days per month, until 31 March 2027.
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About the role:
At North London Multi-Disciplinary Rough Sleeping Hub, you’ll play a key role in keeping the service safe, steady and well run overnight. You’ll be supporting people who have come directly off the streets and are navigating multiple disadvantage, helping to create an environment where they can rest, feel secure and continue moving forward.
As a Night Concierge, you’ll take ownership of the building overnight. That means managing access, carrying out regular checks, monitoring safety and responding to anything that arises. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients during your shift, offering a calm, respectful presence and stepping in when support is needed.
Alongside this, you’ll keep things running behind the scenes. You’ll record incidents and key information accurately, complete handovers for the day team and make sure nothing gets missed. You’ll use internal systems to log activity, report repairs or concerns and communicate clearly with the wider team so there’s continuity between day and night.
Some nights will be quiet and routine, others less predictable. You might be carrying out welfare checks, managing the building, responding to queries or supporting someone who needs reassurance. This is a grant funded role, fixed term for two years, with the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role should funding allow.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across Scotland. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.
The successful candidate will also lead on support for young people living with Duchenne during 2 key transition points (primary to secondary school stage and moving into adulthood). They will work closely with the England-based Transitions Coordinator to deliver a joined-up programme of support across the UK.
Specific Tasks:
1. Proactive Family Support
- Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days)
- Contact to be made to all registered Action Duchenne members, knows to us in Scotland, to ensure the current support offer is clear
- Provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs, including emotional wellbeing, physical health, housing, financial security, self-esteem and respect, decision-making, social engagement, quality of life, and access to care

2. Transitions Support
· Lead transition support across all nations, with a focus on Scotland, for children and young people facing key life changes, including:
· Moving between educational settings such as primary to secondary
· Transitioning from paediatric to adult health services
· Changes in mobility and independence (e.g. transitioning to using powerchairs)
· You will lead, but expected to work collaboratively with the England-based Transition Coordinator to ensure consistency and continuity of support across the UK
· Develop resources, guidance, and workshops to support families through transitions
3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement
· Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security)

· Ensure all data is entered into CRM (E-Tapestry or similar) within the allotted timeframe, i.e. immediately after or during the call.
4. Community Engagement and Event Delivery

Main Purpose of the Role
This new role aims to support the design, coordination and delivery of Action Duchenne’s events portfolio, including the Annual Community Summit, regional meetups, workshops, and online events. The Justice Together Initiative was launched in 2020 with a decade-long vision that people who use the UK immigration system can access justice fairly and equally, enabling them to get on with their lives. It is a unique and ambitious collaboration of several funder partners who have pooled more than £15 million of new funding to strategically invest in legal advice, strengthen immigration sector organisations over the long term, and local and national influencing to support the lawful and fair functioning of immigration, nationality, and asylum processes. It is hosted by Justice Collaborations which is an independent charity and wholly owned subsidiary of LEF.
As Influencing and Grants Manager you will work with colleagues, funder partners, sector experts and directly affected communities to lead the implementation of Justice Together's influencing strategy.
Primarily an influencing role, the postholder will also be responsible for managing a small number of influencing grants and will work closely with the Grants Manager and Grant Partner Community Manager to ensure that the process for grant renewals runs smoothly.
Contract: Permanent position, offered on either a full-time (35 hours) or part-time (28 hours) per week basis

About the Role
The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. YMCA WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) is our specialist project supporting children and young people across Sussex and Surrey who are affected by, or at risk of, exploitation. Through education, awareness‑raising and empowerment, we help young people understand healthy relationships, recognise harmful behaviours, and build safety and resilience.
Unlike statutory services, WiSE has a youth focussed offer that is voluntary to engage in. Our team understand young people, lived experience and trauma, and how this shapes their understanding of the world.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the WiSE team as an Early Intervention CSE Worker. In this role, you will deliver preventative and early intervention work across Surrey, supporting young people, schools, and professional networks to recognise and respond to the risks of sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviours.
Key responsibilities are:
- Deliver a programme of targeted group sessions aimed at preventing sexual exploitation and addressing emerging harmful sexual behaviours (complementing the universal and enhanced RSE offer delivered by the Sex Ed Forum).
- Build professional relationships with Surrey education providers, arranging and delivering group sessions across a range of settings.
- Maintain accurate case notes and monitoring data, contributing to timely reporting for the service and funders.
- Work collaboratively with key partners including Children’s Services, Public Health, Police, LSCB, the Sex Ed Forum, and Community Safety teams.
- Support the development and delivery of awareness‑raising campaigns targeting young people, parents and carers, professionals, and the wider community.
- Work closely with WiSE staff and wider professionals to identify young people at higher risk and refer them to WiSE project workers for specialist intervention.

Role Purpose
This new role within the Advice & Training team will support the development, coordination, and growth of the organisation’s training provision. We are proud to be a respected and trusted source of information for our members and international students, and the work undertaken by this role will seek to strengthen these relationships.
You will be responsible for the recruitment and administration of freelance trainers to work alongside the Advice & Training team in developing and delivering world-class training. You will play a key role in identifying trends in the needs of our membership and international students, contributing to the direction and growth of our training output. You should be able to convey UKCISA’s values and methods to potential freelance trainers and embed processes to ensure quality assurance of any training output.
Engaging with diverse stakeholders, negotiation, and being able to represent UKCISA with integrity and passion should be in your repertoire of excellent communication skills. You are confident in your administrative skills and will lead on writing and standardising contracts for and establishing workflows for new freelance trainers. The role will involve different strands of work, and so you will be required to balance concurrent tasks confidently, seeking advice and guidance where needed. - Liaison with the Finance team to standardise invoicing procedures for freelance training staff.
- Key liaison point between existing and new freelance trainers and UKCISA staff.
Analysis and trend mapping
- Seek to identify gaps in UKCISA’s training offer and the delivery of new services to meet those unmet needs.
- Expanding UKCISA’s offer of new training opportunities, including relating to Student Sponsor compliance, to ensure members have the technical knowledge and support needed to carry out their roles and responsibilities towards international students.
- Collaborate with freelancers and in-house staff to develop training content, in line with UKCISA quality and expectations as the UK’s main provider of training relating to supporting international students.
- Gain a deep understanding of current core training to ensure seamless integration of new courses to support learning journey of members.
- Support the Advice Officer and Training Lead in responding to trends, identifying potential improvements to the training workflow, and supporting UKCISA trainers.
Quality assurance
- Working with UKCISA’s in-house trainers to establish and embed processes to ensure quality assurance of freelance delivery and the delivery of course aims and objectives.
- Collaborate with current freelance trainers and newly recruited trainers to establish robust quality assurance processes with the Advice & Training team.
- Facilitate and monitor quality assurance of UKCISA training output.
- Coordinate the production of resources to inform and support UKCISA trainers to ensure consistent delivery in line with UKCISA values and expectations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of new training and adapt as appropriate.

REPORTS TO: Head of Services
JOB PURPOSE: To cultivate, sustain and manage a volunteer pipeline to help with the effective delivery of our face-to-face services in London; enhance the development and wellbeing of our volunteer team(s), and support the volunteers in the facilitation of activities for our beneficiaries, supporting those who wish to do so to become ready for potential employment within the charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Volunteer management & development
· Support service managers to recruit, induct and train a cohort of volunteers from the local treatment and recovery community, as well as other local community members, ensuring they are trained and supported to undertake their roles safely and with confidence.
· Develop a range of volunteering pathways, with a focus on supporting those who identify as being in recovery as well as those still in structured treatment, creating opportunities that enhance social connectivity, build personal and professional skills, and provide meaningful activity.
· Work with service managers to ensure volunteers receive regular and appropriate supervision, and their wellbeing is monitored and supported.
· Work with service managers to ensure individuals are encouraged and supported to deliver a range of creative and socially based activities within our services, based upon their interests and life skills.
· Work with service managers to ensure volunteer inductions are conducted according to the policies of the charity and that accurate records of their volunteering are kept on our case management system.
· Deliver the five core training workshops in person at the services to the volunteer team(s) and work with the CEO to ensure the training is relevant, accurate and up to date.
· Support and encourage those volunteers who wish to do so to progress through the volunteer programme, attend the relevant training, and undertake the role of team leader, with a focus on potential employment within the charity and elsewhere.
· Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and enhance the volunteer offer across all of our London services.
· Support individuals with interview preparation and CV writing, with a focus on both job opportunities within the charity, peer support roles within the wider treatment systems, and other relevant opportunities as they arise.
2. Programme delivery & coordination
· Collaborate with local community organisations and partners to establish and deliver a programme of cultural, physical, and wellbeing activities that support social connection, encourage participation in safe social networks and help to improve mental and physical health.
· Plan, coordinate and evaluate activities with the wider staff team to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed opportunities for volunteers that support sustained recovery where appropriate.
· Work closely with local service managers to ensure referrals to other service providers where necessary to support the wellbeing of volunteers.
· Work with service managers to identify opportunities in the wider community that would support the development, wellbeing and social integration of volunteers where appropriate.

3. Outreach & community inclusion
· Coordinate outreach sessions in the community with service managers and the volunteer team to increase the visibility of our services and develop wider partnership working and stakeholder management where appropriate.
· Identify external training sources that may be of benefit to the members of the volunteer team, and support individuals to access such training where appropriate.
· Work with our stakeholders and local drug and alcohol treatment providers to ensure that volunteering opportunities within the charity are available to anyone who wishes to apply, and individuals are supported to do so.

· Manage project goals and expenditure in line with set budgets, working with colleagues to ensure accurate monitoring, and reporting.
· Support service managers and support workers to ensure volunteer records are up to date and in line with policy and procedures.
· Ensure volunteering data is accurately recorded on our case management system and work with members of the senior leadership team to ensure relevant data is available for our partners, the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders when required.
· Work with service managers to ensure data is collected from our volunteer teams and service users for impact evaluations and case studies as required.
5. General
· Organize annual volunteer events as agreed with the Senior Leadership Team.
· To work with the Operations and Training Managers, Innovation and Development Manager and the Head of Services supporting the development of the weekend services and the management of volunteers.
· To contribute content for social media channels, the organisation’s website, and newsletter.

· To work with the Build on Belief staff team and the service providers where appropriate, to create a series of borough-wide volunteer pools to develop and improve the delivery of recovery orientated services in those locations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION CRITERIA
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following (E - Essential, D - Desirable):
· Experience of working or volunteering with service users and/or volunteers in either drug and alcohol services, the wider recovery field, associated areas such as homelessness or mental health and supporting those with complex needs (E)
· Experience of recruiting, supporting, or managing volunteers in a charity or community setting (E)
· Experience of planning, coordinating and delivering group activities or community events (E)
· Knowledge of barriers faced by people struggling with substance use and social isolation (E)
· Ability to build supportive relationships with volunteers and service users, particularly those with lived experience (E)
· Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and trauma-informed practice (E)
· Experience of partnership working with statutory or voluntary organisations (D)
· Experience of managing budgets or project resources, including monitoring expenditure and tracking outcomes (D)
· Experience of delivering presentations or training (D)
· Experience of working collaboratively within a wider staff team. (E)
Knowledge and Skills
· Proven people skills (i.e.: motivate, engage, supervise a team of volunteers and service users to deliver on the key aspects of the role.)
· Knowledge of the range of services and activities available and necessary to improve the quality of life for people who have substance use issues, and practical ways to develop recovery capital.
· Demonstrable skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of partners within both the statutory and voluntary sectors.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on record keeping, monitoring, case supervision, and report writing.
· Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems.
Personal qualities:
· The ability to maintain safe professional boundaries with professionals, colleagues, and volunteers/service users at all times.
· Demonstrable ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environments and to balance competing demands.
· Employ a flexible, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards those with substance use issues.
· Empathy with staff and volunteers who themselves may well be in treatment/recovery (lived experience of addiction or dependency is not essential but would be clearly valued.)
