Healthwatch was set up in 2013 to champion the rights of health and social care users, and hold the health and social care system to account for how well it engages with the public.
Healthwatch has a remit which covers all publicly funded health and social care services for adults and children.
The Advocacy Project delivers Healthwatch Brent, Healthwatch Westminster and Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea – three of 152 local Healthwatch organisations. We’re building on the important work that’s been done to date, while bringing new insights from the voices of seldom heard and hard to hear groups.
About the role
In this role you will promote Healthwatch to local residents and stakeholders, and support people to get involved in our work. You’ll be a skilled communicator, comfortable networking and engaging with a diverse range of local residents. This role is primarily based in Westminster, and we’re looking for someone who can understand and relate to the diverse local population.
Your role will involve finding innovative ways to present the information the team gathers to key audiences. This will range from face-to-face conversations with partners and funders through to producing imaginative materials. This includes producing accessible reports and presentations to make sure we can maximise the impact of people’s feedback.
You’ll be responsible for a variety of internal and external communications for the Healthwatch Westminster producing impactful communications across all platforms including our website, social media channels and newsletter. You’ll also produce informative and engaging content for our websites, keeping it fresh and relevant for our diverse audiences.
As well as developing our online presence, you’ll own the Westminster engagement plan. This will involve identifying engagement opportunities, working with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure we have good coverage at events across the borough, and getting out into the local community to promote our service and hear from local residents.
Working as part of a small team, you’ll be involved in many aspects of the organisation. You’ll need to be flexible, with a ‘can do’ attitude to meet the evolving needs of the service. You will need to work in close collaboration with our other Healthwatch services in Kensington & Chelsea and Brent, and occasionally support communications and engagement in those areas when the need arises.

Engagement
î Develop a vibrant engagement plan for Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, ensuring that we reach a wide range of residents from different communities, with an emphasis on those most likely to experience poor health outcomes.

î Answer and respond appropriately to calls about the service, seeking guidance from the team where appropriate to give signposting support via phone and email.
î Keep up to date with best practice from Healthwatch England, by reading, attending courses and networking.

About the role
We are seeking to appoint someone on a fixed term contract to the end of December 2027, to join our Grants Team in delivering The Ideas Fund, an exciting programme which looks to connect communities with researchers in order to develop and try out ideas related to mental wellbeing. The Fund is delivered in four areas of the UK – Oldham, Hull, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and North West Northern Ireland, although this role can be remote, based anywhere in the UK.
With support from the Head of Grants, we expect that you will have lead responsibility for grant management across these areas, building strong relationships with our Development Co-ordinators and contributing to the successful delivery of the overall programme.
You will oversee the support for grant holders to learn from what is working and feed this learning into our overall approach with the Fund, as well as sharing insights externally. About the role
We are looking for an experienced Partnerships and Advocacy Manager to strengthen The Politics Project’s influencing and partnerships work, with a focus on Democracy Classroom - a non-partisan network of organisations across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You’ll lead the implementation of the new Democracy Classroom strategy, and grow the network’s impact and reach in the build up to the next general election and the implementation of votes at 16.
You will play a central role in expanding and activating the network - supporting over 100 partner organisations to collaborate effectively, share learning, build trust and increase their collective impact. You will be a key player in keeping the sector informed, connected and ready to respond to key moments in democratic engagement, from elections to policy changes.
You will take on a highly relational role, working closely with the team to manage and nurture a complex network blending multiple sectors. You will collaborate with the Director to manage shared relationships across the Democracy Classroom network, building more ownership over time. You’ll help position Democracy Classroom as an important conduit between the sector and major stakeholders like government departments and funders.
This is a dynamic, outward-facing role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on coordination. You’ll work closely with the Head of Communications and Networks, the Democracy Classroom Programme Coordinator and colleagues across The Politics Project to make sure partners feel supported, valued and part of a shared mission.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. About the programme: ABC Parents Programme
The ABC Parents Programme empowers parents from the most deprived wards in Enfield and Haringey to increase their confidence and improve appropriate use of services across health and social care through child health workshops and networks of peer-to-peer support for parents.
The programme is delivered in community venues by a range of staff working in children’s community health services and Child Health Champions. They are supported by multi-agency practitioners from the hospital, primary care and voluntary sectors in Enfield and Haringey.
The programme is delivered in partnership with North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust (NMUH), The Bridge Renewal Trust, Every Parent and Child, Public Health Haringey, NCL CCG and other local multi-sector agencies.
About the role: Child Health Community Champions
The Child Health Champions Lead will recruit and provide ongoing support to a small team of Child Health Community Champions (CHCC). This will include:
· Supporting professional development through carrying out training needs assessments of the CHCCs and identifying appropriate training
· Alongside the Project Coordinator, planning workshops incorporating CHCCs strengths
· Holding regular meetings and quarterly Wellbeing sessions with CHCCs
· Being responsible for the recruitment and deployment of creche workers where required
About you:

The Child Health Champions Lead will be employed by Every Parent & Child and will work as a member of the ABC Parents Program Team based at NMUH.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Engaging Community Champions
· Actively recruit new Child Health Community Champions (CHCC) and support their training.
· Working with the CHCC, identify professional training needs, develop ideas through to delivery.
· Arrange regular meetings with the CHCC to provide support and seek feedback to support monitoring and the impact of their intervention.

The ministry was founded in 1993, and since then, it has funded projects in more than 100 countries, providing hope and help to millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Some of our key projects include supplying food aid, medical supplies, educational and vocational training, Bibles, micro-enterprise, disaster relief, help for victims of violence, and support for pastors and church leaders. Barnabas Aid also provides advocacy for religious freedom, especially for persecuted and suffering Christians.

Overview
The role will provide high-quality administrative, systems, and research support to the Quality Team, enabling consistent quality assurance across the grant-making cycle. The postholder will administer and improve the team’s Salesforce processes and data standards, coordinate key workflows and information management, support the Director of Quality, Quality Assurance Specialist and Impact (MEAL) Coordinator with scheduling and documentation, and deliver defined research tasks and short projects (e.g., into quality assurance approaches, MEAL frameworks, tools and best practice) to strengthen the team’s work.
Key internal relationships: Director of Quality; Quality Assurance Specialist; Impact (MEAL) Specialist; Regional Directors, Programme Managers and Project Officers; ICPO; Finance; Data/Systems owners.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce administration and systems support
Administrative support to the Quality Director and team coordination
·Coordinate team processes, including shared calendars, team meetings, process documentation, and communications that help the Quality Team operate consistently.
Research and special projects (Quality assurance, MEAL and learning)
·Maintain a small library of standards, templates, guidance, and reference materials (including MEAL and QA resources) for the team.
Pre-Committee Proposal Scrutiny
·Formal review of all project proposals before submission to the projects subcommittee to improve quality by ensuring:
oProposals are internally consistent;
oProposed solutions credibly meet the identified needs;
oThe response is proportionate and broadly consistent with other Barnabas Aid projects of a similar nature;
oBeneficiary selection is conducted appropriately and can be justified;
oThe proposal is strategically aligned, represents good value-for-money and meets all of Barnabas Aid’s project policies;
oRelevant harms have been considered and mitigated;
oA proportionate M&E approach is in place;
oPrudent but pragmatic financial arrangements (e.g. split into tranches, use of intermediaries) are adopted and justified.
·In conjunction with regional teams, undertake light editing of proposals to improve clarity and correct inconsistencies and typographical errors.
·Document checks to ensure all due diligence activities have been conducted before proposal is put to the subcommittee.
Post-Committee Follow-up
·Track actions provided by committee to ensure projects fully implement committee decisions (e.g. splitting into tranches, reporting requirements, risk management, etc)
·Draft, for regional team’s approval, project approval/project rejection letters to partners, including all relevant provisions for management of the grants.
Compliance, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
·Support the Quality Team to evidence required checks and maintain consistent records across systems and files, raising risks or gaps as appropriate.

Person Requirement
Essential
·Bible-believing follower of Jesus: Demonstrates a personal commitment to discipleship and growing in faith. In good standing with their Church, actively
participating in its life and community. Committed to affirming and signing Barnabas Aid’s Statement of Faith.
·Educated to degree-level or equivalent, with strong administrative and systems experience.
·Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to administration, data/systems, quality, research, MEAL, or project/grants work
·Experience in a busy administrative role, supporting multiple stakeholders, scheduling meetings, and coordinating actions to deadlines.
·Experience administering or providing ‘super-user’ support for a CRM/database (preferably Salesforce), including maintaining data standards and producing reports/dashboards.
·Experience with document control and shared filing systems (e.g SharePoint), including version control and maintaining audit-ready records.
·Experience undertaking structured research tasks and producing clear summaries/recommendations for non-specialist audiences.
·Highly organised with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
·Strong systems aptitude: able to document processes, apply data standards, run checks, and support colleagues to use systems consistently.
·Ability to produce clear reports/briefings and summarise research into practical recommendations.
·Confident with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and comfortable learning new systems.
·Discretion and good judgement when handling confidential/sensitive information.
Desirable
·Experience working in the charity, international development, or faith-based sector.
·Salesforce administration training/qualification (or equivalent CRM certification).
·Training in research methods, MEAL, data analysis, or quality/process improvement
·Experience in grants administration, governance support, programme/project support, or compliance-focused roles.
·Experience supporting QA, audit, MEAL, or learning processes (e.g., file reviews, indicator tracking, learning events).
·Ability to build and maintain Salesforce reports/dashboards and/or familiarity with basic Salesforce admin concepts (profiles/permissions within delegated scope).
·Familiarity with MEAL concepts (monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning) and how they support quality and learning in programmes.
·Understanding of grants governance, restricted funds, and/or donor intent in a charity setting.
·Experience working in a distributed/remote team environment.
