We have an exciting opportunity for a pragmatic and collaborative Artificial Intelligence (AI) enthusiast to join us as our AI Programme Manager at The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR). The clinical adoption of artificial Intelligence is becoming a central topic in medicine and our specialities of radiology and oncology are at the forefront of this development. The RCR has a huge part to play in navigating the safe and effective implementation of this technology. This role is critical for shaping the RCR’s position on AI, drawing on the expertise and insight of members and fellows, to help ensure we are leaders in this area.
We’re looking for an experienced strategist and programme manager who can continue to drive this work forward, managing several programmes of work and successfully collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups across the RCR and beyond. This means someone who’s proactive, a clear and analytical thinker, as comfortable with the big picture while being across the detail of this complex and technical area. You don’t have to be an AI specialist to apply but a strong interest in the topic and working knowledge of NHS systems will be an advantage.
This role is part of our External Affairs team, highlighting the RCR’s priority of engaging with and representing members and fellows on the topic of AI. This means you’ll forge strong relationships with our data, policy, public affairs and media specialists, working closely together to build the RCR’s member engagement and policy and influencing work on AI. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the RCR who will support the practical implementation of AI, for example through developing guidance or planning our Global AI Conference.

What you’ll do
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders to execute the College’s AI strategy, securing our place as a leading organisation in the healthcare AI space.
- Be the first point of contact for AI, both internally and externally.
- Represent the college externally in meetings, groups and other fora, including presentations where necessary, and including alone as sole representative of the college.
- Manage areas of AI college work, in line with the scheme of Financial, Contractual and HR delegation ranging from developing AI workstream plans to setting up and running advisory committees.
- Secure buy in for and develop new AI projects as opportunities emerge, including successfully converting those opportunities into funded projects with impactful outputs for the College.
- Lead, motivate, and support roles in the AI team to ensure a productive and engaged team.

Key details
Hours: Full-time: usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.

We are looking for an experienced Community Partners Engagement Project Manager with an impressive track record of co-ordinating and delivering high quality community organisation engagement work in partnership with statutory stakeholders. You will strive for excellent standards, robustly managing a quality, outcomes driven engagement project. By joining Change4Life you will ensure your project promotes key public health priorities including oral health, healthy eating, emotional wellbeing and physical activity to maximise promotion of consistent health messages and encourage children young people and their families to eat well, move more and feel good, embedded in a holistic health promotion and community-based service.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
To provide leadership and day‑to‑day management for the Change4Life Neighbourhood Projects. These place‑based annual initiatives focus identifying and overcoming barriers to on promoting healthy eating and physical activity in four priority wards, selected based on National Child Measurement Programme data and levels of deprivation where children are most at risk of poor health outcomes.
As the Community Partners Engagement Project Manager, you will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of the Neighbourhood Projects, working closely with – and line‑managing – the Community Partners Engagement Coordinator. You will share strategic oversight with the Change4Life Programme Manager and Change4Life Service Manager and play a key role in shaping high‑quality, outcome‑focused interventions that deliver positive, measurable changes for children, young people and their families. This role directly contributes to Family Action’s strategic ambition to ensure the organisation is Stronger than Ever.
Central to your work will be mobilising and supporting local partners within each ward to co‑design and co‑deliver initiatives that address the real, locally identified barriers to healthy eating and physical activity. You will build on existing community strengths, ensuring that projects reflect local needs and amplify community voices.
You will work collaboratively with delivery partners, wider community organisations, and local councils, engaging relevant council teams when required. By developing strong, productive relationships, you will help create a local movement that brings together residents, services, and organisations to make it easier for children, young people and their families to eat well and stay active.

Your skills
You will bring your knowledge and experience of project management to co-ordinate and deliver co-produced neighbourhood project plans in partnership with key local stakeholders. The post requires an ability to co-ordinate and manage the Change4Life neighbourhood projects in close partnership with Public Health and Local Authority partners. The ability to think outside of the box, work in a creative and dynamic environment, excellent partnership skills with statutory and voluntary organisations are key. Strong staff management skills, excellent report writing and data analysis skills are required for this role and a thorough understanding of quality assurance and safeguarding frameworks and practice.

Purpose of the job
As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be joining a supportive and highly ambitious Corporate Partnerships Team sitting within the wider Fundraising Department. You will work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, Delivery and Impact, collaborating to maximise the value and impact of corporate partnerships.
You will be working across both account management and new business, building on your knowledge and expertise across these two disciplines to proactively spot new income generation opportunities for the charity, as well as unlock non-financial support through skills-based volunteering, pro bono projects, and collaborative communications and brand engagement opportunities. We offer the opportunity of an “Ask Us Anything” Teams call on Wednesday 29th April at 12pm. During this call you will be able to ask any questions you might have about the role, the selection process, our department, our core values and work culture, our current hybrid work policy, or simply listen to others’ questions.
This roles with have two interview stages, a standard skills-based interview followed (for up to two appointable candidates) by a Core Values interview.
The first stage interview is likely to be held on w/c 11th May.
The Core Values interview is likely to be held on w/c 18th May.
