Birmingham Mind are a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. We offer high quality services that support both recovery and wellbeing and we actively work with people so that they can be in control of their lives. With respect for the individual at the forefront of all the work we do, Birmingham Mind has a well-earned reputation for excelling in quality.

With over 50 years’ experience of supporting people with mental health difficulties within our local community: we always strive to challenge the stigma that surrounds mental distress.

We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to assist the Registered Home Manager in the day to day running of Charles Davies House residential service in Hockley, Birmingham.

The post holder will participate in the continued delivery of good quality services using a person centred approach. You will proactively work to improve service users’ quality of life and promote individual recovery by providing active user led support and choice.

You must have excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills, be competent using IT to complete reports and audits and will have the ability to well work under pressure.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be flexible with regards to hours which include evening and weekend working, sleep-ins and on call cover.

Benefits include an attractive defined contribution pension scheme, PayCare which offers employees affordable cover for a range of healthcare treatments, an Employee Assistance Programme which includes free counselling and a comprehensive training programme.

Our people are key to the success of the organisation, and we are recognised as both a Mindful Employer as well as achieving Gold standard success in Investors in People. We welcome applications from people who have experienced mental health difficulties.
