About the role
This role leads our income generation and communications function, playing a central part in securing the charity’s long-term sustainability and growth.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering our fundraising and communications strategies, ensuring we generate the income needed to sustain and expand our work. A key focus will be building a diverse and resilient funding model, balancing multiple income streams while strengthening engagement with our supporters and stakeholders.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. It is also a broad brief, and you won’t be expected to be an expert in everything. Instead, we are looking for someone with the knowledge, confidence and strategic approach to play to their strengths and those of their team, while drawing on additional expertise and capacity where needed.
The role includes leadership of our communications and media activity, ensuring our messaging is clear, compelling and aligned with our brand across all audiences, including supporters, partners and the wider public.
You will lead and support a team of staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, with the capacity to grow and evolve in line with our ambitions.
As a senior leader, you will contribute to the wider strategic direction of the organisation, helping to identify new opportunities for innovation and impact.

Main duties and responsibilities
Programme and participant support
Act as a key contact for learning disabled employees, volunteers and programme participants.
Support individuals to engage confidently in activities, work placements and employment opportunities and seek progression routes for all learning-disabled employees.
Help identify support needs and practical adjustments to enable participation in clubs and employment programmes.
Liaise with staff, families, carers and external support organisations where appropriate.
Ensure programmes remain accessible and inclusive.
Programme coordination
Coordinate and oversee learning disability-focused activities: Tuesday evening adult social club; Friday evening youth sport club; hospitality and front of house employment programme.
Support scheduling, attendance monitoring and participant communication.
Gather feedback, outcomes and participant stories.
Help develop new opportunities and pathways for participation, skills and employment.
Work with staff across the organisation to embed inclusive practice.
Funding and development
Research grants, trusts and funding opportunities related to disability inclusion, supported employment and community programmes.
Support preparation of funding applications and contribute information, participant case studies and impact evidence.
Build relationships with local organisations, partners and funders.
Help identify opportunities to grow and sustain the role and associated programmes.
Maintain records of participation and outcomes.
Collect evidence demonstrating impact and learning.
Contribute to reports for funders and stakeholders.

Essential
Experience working alongside learning disabled people in community, arts, employment or education settings.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Understanding of inclusive practice and reasonable adjustments.

Good organisational skills with an ability to keep accurate records
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and the internet

Friends of the Elderly is a charity dedicated to providing excellent care and support to older people for over 120 years. We do this via our grant giving service, which provides vital financial support to older people who are living in poverty. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to play a vital role in our small, busy fundraising team.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering outstanding supporter care, ensuring everyone who donates or fundraises for the charity has a positive and rewarding experience.
You’ll be responsible for processing all fundraising income accurately and efficiently, taking ownership of essential administrative tasks that keep our fundraising activity running smoothly. You’ll manage income from individual supporters, including regular donors, legacy supporters, event participants and seasonal campaigns such as our Winter Appeal. Working closely with our homes and services, you’ll also help to support and grow their fundraising efforts, making a meaningful contribution to the success and impact of the organisation.
We are looking for someone with experience in supporter care, customer services or fundraising along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders / customers.
You will be confident using databases to accurately record information and generate reports, as well as handling data, numerical information, and financial administration tasks effectively.
Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy will be required and you’ll have the ability to manage a number of projects, prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.
Good computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and database are essential.
Working in the not-for-profit or care sector and proven success in achieving and exceeding fundraising targets would be preferable.

We are looking for a talented Copywriter to create compelling supporter-focused content that supports our Individual Giving activity, including appeals, raffles, Sponsor a Puppy communications, supporter feedback and development communications. You will bring the work of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to life, through clear, persuasive and emotionally engaging copy that inspires supporters to give, stay connected and feel valued.
You will work closely with the Head of Supporter Retention and Growth and the Head of Acquisition and their respective teams, Marketing, the Creative Strategy Team and wider charity teams to deliver high-quality copy across a range of channels and campaigns. The role requires strong direct response writing experience, strong storytelling skills, a supporter first mindset and an ability to manage multiple deadlines. You will also need to confidently write to the brand guidelines and tone of voice.

Job purpose
The Assistant Director - Digital and Innovation leads the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of Villiers Park’s digital education provision. This includes the design and delivery of online learning experiences, the development of digital and physical resources for use across programmes, and ensuring that digital delivery is accessible, safeguarded and aligned with the organisation’s mission.
The role also provides strategic and operational leadership for Leadership Challenge, Villiers Park’s national student outreach and social action programme. This includes programme design, partner engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and ensuring the programme is effectively resourced and financially sustainable.
Working closely with the Head of Programmes, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Communications and Fundraising teams, and external partners, the postholder supports the development of digital innovation, programme resourcing and Leadership Challenge activity to enhance reach, impact and quality.
