We're a small, passionate team and we're growing. We're looking for a Marketing and Events Officer who's creative, organised, and ready to make their work mean something.

This is a genuinely varied role. One day you might be crafting a social media campaign, the next you're coordinating our presence at a national sector conference. You'll create content, manage our channels, write newsletters and press releases, produce video case studies, and help run events that raise both awareness and funds. You'll work closely with our Marketing and Events Manager and have real ownership over your work.

We're not looking for someone who just wants to tick boxes. We want someone who's curious, takes initiative, and cares about doing things well. Experience in the charity sector is helpful but not essential - what matters more is that you bring solid digital and content skills, a head for logistics, and genuine enthusiasm for the cause.

1. Proactively engage bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support enquiries and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.

•To be the primary contact for the bereavement support digital services including WhatsApp, text, webchat and other social media channels.
•Proactively engage with bereaved families through social media and other online platforms.
•Ensure any safeguarding concerns are actioned in accordance with the organisations Safeguarding policy.
•Send materials to bereaved contacts, including bereavement packs and follow up emails and ensure all documents and databases are updated with each contact in line with the department guidelines, including Raiser’s Edge, Excel databases.
•Cover and answer the bereavement support helpline and online enquiries responding within the set guidelines and KPIs for the department.
•Ensure any messages on Bereavement Support Facebook Groups are monitored and advice is given via befrienders where appropriate.
•Attend face to face events for bereaved families including family days and memorial events when needed.
•Work with Income and Engagement Team around social media bereavement support content/posts.

2. Deliver and run live bereavement themed sessions on social media
•Run monthly live sessions on social media on bereavement topics/themes, responding to comments and messages during and after the sessions, ensuring anyone seeking ongoing support is responded to and referred to relevant services.
•Work with the Engagement Team to promote live sessions.
•Facilitate monthly remembrance sessions.

3. Ensure the bereavement support services are promoted to those bereaved and to professionals working with bereaved families
•Assist with the recruitment and facilitation of Bereaved Families’ Panel.
•Keep up to date with the bereavement support world including joining National Bereavement Alliance, Child Bereavement Network and research around grief and bereavement.
•Attend events as required to represent the Lullaby Trust’s bereavement support services.

4. Maintain accurate records throughout all services, complying with the organisation’s recording and reporting requirements
•Maintain ongoing knowledge and training on the Lullaby Trust’s advice and the scientific knowledge behind this advice.
•Collate statistics, as required on areas of work within the support services team.
•Assist with the services’ evaluation and impact processes.
•Provide other administrative support to the team as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Freshwater Habitats Trust’s New Forest team, delivering practical, landscape‑scale freshwater conservation projects across the National Park.

The role will focus on identifying, developing and delivering habitat creation and restoration projects to improve freshwater biodiversity at a catchment scale. This will include undertaking catchment walkover surveys to identify issues and opportunities, and working closely with landowners, technical specialists and a wide range of stakeholders to design and implement effective interventions—including habitat creation, restoration and nutrient management.

The postholder will lead on developing project work plans, securing necessary consents and licences, and managing contractors through delivery. Alongside this, the role will involve full project and financial management responsibilities, including budget oversight, reporting against targets, and liaising with funders.

Strong stakeholder engagement is key, with the role also representing the Trust at meetings and contributing to partnerships across the New Forest. This is a varied role combining practical conservation delivery with project leadership, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on freshwater environments.

The Breaking Barriers Project is a service which works with Children, Young People (CYP) and Families who have been affected by the imprisonment of a parent or close family member. Our service offers one-to-one support to Children and Young People to maintain a connection with the imprisoned parent/loved one (where appropriate), support their emotional wellbeing and build resilience to enable them to reach their full potential. The work we do plays a critical role in helping to reduce reoffending rates and improve outcomes for children and young people.

The role of the post holder is to provide outcome-based support designed to address the needs of children and young people with a parent/carer or close family member in prison who may feel isolated or excluded in their home and community, ensuring that these programmes meet individual needs and further the aims of Ormiston Families.

To carry out initial assessments with parents/carers and partner agencies following referrals to the service and identify and agree individual outcomes for children and young people.

To work one-to-one in the home, schools, online, and other community settings, coordinating packages of support with CYP, with other agencies where appropriate, that meet the complex needs of children and young people, reduce risks, improve safety and work towards emotional well-being and development.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner confident in supporting children, young people and families to join our dynamic, ambitious team. You will need to be organised and self-motivated and have a passion for improving the outcomes for children/young people.

We are looking for a skilled fundraising professional with experience securing income from a range of fundraising streams, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and/or individual giving.

You will have excellent written communication skills and experience producing persuasive funding applications, reports and donor communications. You will also have strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and experience supporting or supervising others within a fundraising environment.

You will be confident building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and able to use data and insight to inform fundraising activity and demonstrate impact. Experience using CRM systems and fundraising platforms is essential, alongside a good understanding of fundraising regulations and best practice.

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Therapeutic Practitioner to deliver For Baby’s Sake across the North East of England. This is a home-based role with hybrid working, and applicants must be based in the region and able to travel to deliver a blend of online and face-to-face sessions. For Baby’s Sake is an innovative, therapeutic, trauma-informed programme that works to break the cycle of domestic abuse, starting in pregnancy, to give babies the best possible start in life. We work individually with co-parents, keeping the baby at the centre, and using a therapeutic, recovery-focused framework to address the impact of domestic abuse with care, compassion, and respect. The programme supports parents to explore unresolved and often complex childhood trauma, change harmful patterns of behaviour, and create a home environment in which children can thrive. Our attachment-focused parenting approach helps babies and children feel safe, secure, and connected with parents who are emotionally available and attuned to their needs.

The programme begins during pregnancy, when motivation for change can be strongest. Both parents must want to co-parent their unborn baby, although they do not need to be in a relationship with one another. We can work with families until their baby reaches the age of two, reflecting the importance of this period in child development research.

The For Baby’s Sake Trust multi-disciplinary team is made up of trained therapeutic practitioners who build trusting, respectful relationships and create conditions for meaningful therapeutic change. This work supports co-parents to understand the impact of their own early experiences on their parenting and relationships, and to move towards safer, healthier family lives. To thrive in this role, you will have the skills to build therapeutic relationships, experience of safeguarding children and adults, knowledge of infant development, and a deep understanding of domestic abuse, attachment, and the effects of unresolved trauma.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Flood Support: Lead and manage high-quality proactive and reactive Flood Support Services for communities and businesses at risk of, and impacted by, flooding, including helpline & recovery services and management of the flood support vehicle. • Stakeholder relationships: Develop and maintain key partnerships with Risk Management authorities, (RMAs), and other stakeholders. • Research and Evidence: Oversee flood support research, collecting and evaluating evidence to strengthen advocacy. Provide insight to support policy and practice influence.
• Income: Identify, scope, and lead the development of high-quality engagement contracts, working with teams and management to prioritise and secure income.
• Political and Fundraising support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political engagement and fundraising. Attend relevant meetings.

· People Management: Manage a matrix team, fostering collaboration, motivation, and development. Mentor team members and ensure skills and competence are maintained to achieve high performance

Flood Engagement Officer – Job Description Overview

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual for the role of Flood Engagement Officer for London and the Home Counties. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with communities, especially those at risk of flooding, to deliver community-based flood risk management solutions.

Key Details:

• Location: Home-based (London and Home Counties team), with regular travel across London and the South, including evening meetings and occasional overnight stays.
• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: £24,784.56 per annum rising to £27,840.90 (discretionary London weighting may apply) travel expenses covered
• Contract: Permanent

Role Overview:

The Flood Engagement Officer will support the London and Home Counties community engagement team, reporting to a Community Engagement Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with communities to support them in tackling flooding risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Project Delivery: Lead and support the implementation of projects focused on flood risk management.
• Community Engagement: Engage and empower at-risk communities, ensuring they have the tools and information to co-create solutions to flood risks.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders and partners.
• Data Management: Provide data to help evaluate and support engagement activities.
• Support the Senior Team: Assist in broader tasks and activities as required by the senior team.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Empathetic: Understand the challenges faced by those at risk of flooding and help to work with communities and agencies to provide practical solutions.
• Organized and Flexible: Able to prioritize tasks and travel extensively across the region, including evenings and occasional overnight stays.

• Driving Licence: Full driving licence and access to a car are essential due to the travel requirements.

The Role

This is a key role in acting as a delivery partner on our projects, working on streams of community support across the London and Home Counties (including Thames Valley area), and within the staff team. 

Responsibilities

• Projects and Workstreams: Overseeing and ensuring outstanding delivery on multiple community projects through NFF Flood Support and Flood Action Group process. Support and manage data collection that meets the aims of each project.
• Community Engagement: Engage and empower flooded and at-risk communities, supporting and representing them and pushing for the best outcomes.  Being ambitious on their behalf and advocating for change.
• Business Engagement: Proactive engagement with businesses to support flood risk reduction to affected communities.
• Report Writing: Ensure reports are on time and are to depth and quality required.
• Staff Training: Support staff and training manager to ensure comprehensive and appropriate training takes place to ensure continuous professional development. 
• Team Management: Line manage staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Modelling behaviours and driving forward team development.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships, ensuring strong partnerships and leading on communications.
• Political and Fundraising Support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political influencing and fundraising activities. Contribute to and attend policy, political and strategic meetings.  Support fundraising activities through providing data and information. 
• Income: Identify future income opportunities, sharing information and building relationships for new projects or new income streams with Senior Management Team. 
• Support Management Team proactive role to support to deliver NFF objectives.

Day-to-Day Activities

· You will manage and support Flood Engagement Officers to deliver their projects and work streams and managing development pathways for team members.

• Liaise and develop relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth operational and community engagement activities.
• Support Management Team to build income streams and develop new activity. Working to develop, support and deliver NFF strategy
• Providing information and case studies for communications and advocacy work

· You will be acting as the main contact for projects and agreed activities.

Work Experience

 · Recent experience undertaking a similar role

· Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and current practice

· Proven experience working to deadlines and prioritising workloads

· Comprehensive experience of managing projects with strong project management skills

· Proven experience analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions

· Evidence of achievement in directly managing staff
