About the role

We are seeking a Floating Support Worker to join our Accommodation Service based at Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall. This service provides support to adults who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless.

In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients, supporting them to sustain their tenancies and successfully settle into their new homes. You will work closely with individuals to help them access employment and education opportunities, and connect with appropriate services to address mental health needs, financial challenges, and substance or alcohol-related issues.

Working in this role, your key responsibilities will be to:

• To use a range of specialist assessment and personalised support planning tools to engage clients in the assessment and support planning process.
• To work with clients in producing person-centred support plans and ensuring that case reviews are carried out, support plans are implemented and adequate case records are maintained.
• To assess client risk and develop risk management strategies with the client and other relevant services.
• To work with a range of agencies to ensure all clients have access to relevant services including both statutory and non-statutory support.
• To provide specialist advice to clients on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other issues as necessary.

About you

This role will suit people with: 

• An understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people – you may have had personal experience of homelessness yourself. 
• Experience of helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change. 
• Good interpersonal and listening skills, to establish effective working relationships with clients. 
• An enthusiasm to learn and work with clients with a holistic, person-centred approach.

What will you do in the role?

• Assess client needs and suitability for accommodation in the private rented sector and/or supported housing via in-person meetings 
• Provide advice, guidance and support over the phone, in person, and via email to clients and stakeholders
• Arrange viewings of suitable properties with clients and liaise with agents and landlords
• Make referrals to hostels and supported housing
• Assist clients to access grants and with benefit claims
• Support clients with issues such as rent payments, liaising with landlords and dealing with neighbours
• Update client records and referrers using our CRM system, In-Form.
• Work with the team to keep improving the service

The Refuge Service provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. About the Role

As a Refuge Support Worker in our Enfield refuge, you will help create a safe, welcoming environment for women and families escaping abuse. You’ll handle phone enquiries, prepare rooms for new arrivals, support with deliveries, and help maintain clean, safe communal areas.

You’ll introduce new residents to Solace services, explain key policies, and ensure they are aware of internal and external support options. Working alongside each resident, you will develop support plans, assist with benefits and housing applications, accompany them to appointments when needed, and help them work towards safe, independent move‑on accommodation.

The role also includes collecting and recording payments, completing health and safety checks, maintaining accurate records, and building strong working relationships with local authorities and partner agencies.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, attend regular meetings and supervision, follow all safeguarding, equality, and organisational policies, and contribute to the smooth and safe running of the refuge.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a successful national remote service, offering support via the phone or Zoom to affected adults in the UK. We are looking to recruit experienced Family Support professionals to provide these virtual support sessions to individual family members and sometimes groups. We are offering a number of roles at 15-20 hours per week, across 3-5 days, including Wednesday and at least 2 evenings per week (Mon-Wed).

Experience in supporting family members affected by someone else’s substance use is essential, as is experience with assessing and managing risk. Ideally, you would also have experience of working to support parents with their parenting and / or those experiencing domestic abuse. We offer fixed hours part time contracts within a friendly and supportive team. By adopting a flexible, creative and strengths based approach, the Solo Homes initiative supports individuals to manage their tenancies in the community and improve their quality of life. Solo Homes is The Connection’s version of Housing First.

The Solo Homes, Women’s Service Pilot is an exciting and innovative extension to our specialist 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham for women from across South London who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage. The successful candidate will work with 6 of the women currently living in this service to move in to their own social tenancies.

We are seeking a Women’s Support Worker to join our Door of Hope team in the East End of London. The role will involve working directly with women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets; supporting them to make goals and support the changes that they wish to make, through information sharing, advocacy, and practical support.  We offer this whilst also providing a non-judgemental, and confidential space to talk and be heard.

About Beyond the Streets

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centered support, provide training for the third sector and statutory professionals, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience. Our training and partnership work seeks to equip professionals to understand the sex industry, particularly survival sex, and to support them to engage with women selling sex in a trauma-informed way.

We're looking for two Support Workers to join Your Place and be part of our dedicated team to help us with our mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!

About the role
This role gives you the opportunity to help people build positive relationships and see meaningful change over time. At Your Place, we work to build hope and develop sustainable life skills that support people to move on from homelessness. We work closely with each resident, focusing on their strengths through one‑to‑one and peer‑led support within a compassionate community that encourages progress towards independent living.

As a Support Worker, you will deliver consistent one to one keywork to residents who may be rebuilding their lives after homelessness while navigating multiple needs and complex barriers. You will complete assessments, co‑produce support plans and risk assessments, and work in a trauma‑informed and psychologically aware way that promotes safety, dignity and independence.

You will not be doing this work alone. As part of a dedicated support team, you will collaborate closely with our Community Partnership Team, Resident Services and Move‑On Specialist to create joined‑up pathways, remove barriers and support successful move‑on.

Our approach is collaborative. You will work with health services, substance misuse providers, the DWP, Probation, Housing and other partners to ensure residents receive the right support at the right time. Person specification

Experience

· Relevant experience may be gained through work or education, including supporting people affected by homelessness or housing insecurity and multiple needs, such as mental health, substance use, offending, poor physical health, or social isolation.

· Experience working in a trauma-informed and person-centred way, which can be demonstrated either through employment or educational placements, particularly with individuals who may find services difficult to trust.

· Experience completing assessments and co-producing support plans/risk assessments, as well as reviewing progress over time, gained via work, volunteering, or educational settings.

· Experience of partnership working and multi-agency coordination, developed through professional roles or collaborative educational projects.

Skills & knowledge

· Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries, confident communication with residents and professionals.

· Strong organisation and time management; able to manage a caseload and competing priorities.

· Good IT skills such as Microsoft Office and ability to use case management systems e.g., In-Form/Salesforce/Pyramid.

· Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR/data protection and health & safety in a supported housing setting.

· Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting supported housing and vulnerable adult groups

· Ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends and contribute to a team rota.

Desirable

· Experience supporting vulnerable adults, migrants and/or people facing barriers to move-on, including navigating access to advice and housing pathways.

· Experience using In-Form.

Furnishing Futures is a charity that creates beautiful healing homes for women and children who have escaped domestic abuse, and been given empty social housing, using unwanted furniture from the interiors industry. We are looking for a Senior Specialist Support Worker, to provide maternity cover for 12 months managing our specialist support service and providing focussed support to beneficiaries.

Our specialist support team works alongside our home designers to provide advice and support on a range of issues to help alleviate social isolation for survivors, as well as facilitating women’s groups and managing relationships with referral partners.

We are looking for someone with experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds, and an understanding of the impact of deprivation, discrimination and domestic abuse on individuals, families and communities. Based in Leyton you will be managing a small team and helping the charity develop its service across London.
