This is an exciting opportunity to lead CPAG’s strategic legal work at an important time in the organisation’s fight to end child poverty. As Head of Strategic Litigation, you will oversee and carry out CPAG’s work using legal cases for positive impact, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of CPAG’s legal work, in addition to managing CPAG’s legal practice and playing an active role in conducting high-profile litigation on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for someone who is strategically minded and passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with substantial post-qualification experience. You will have experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers, and support the professional development and wellbeing of your team. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.

About the Role
This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to lead the next phase of philanthropic growth for High School of Dundee and its Charitable Foundation.
The role sits within the school but works closely with the Foundation, which is a separate entity with its own Board of Trustees and lay members. All funds raised are received by the Foundation and distributed to support agreed priorities, most notably bursaries for talented young people from families who would otherwise be unable to afford school fees, as well as selected capital projects that improve the school’s infrastructure and facilities.
The school has not had a dedicated fundraiser in post since before COVID. In recent years, fundraising has been absorbed within other teams, with activity focused more on maintaining relationships than generating significant new income. Legacy giving has remained strong and has helped sustain the Foundation, while events such as the annual Gala Ball have continued to attract support. However, there is substantial untapped potential across alumni, parents, donors and the wider school community.
At a time when independent schools are facing increased financial pressure, including the impact of VAT on tuition fees and rising delivery costs, the school has taken the strategic decision to invest in dedicated fundraising leadership.
The new Head of Development will work closely with the Executive Rector, Foundation Chair and Board of Trustees to develop and deliver a new fundraising strategy for the future.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified immigration advisor to lead on key elements of our Change of Conditions casework service as maternity cover for the coming year including our ‘self-submissions’ support programme and second-tier CoC advice.
The Unity Project (TUP) supports people who are facing poverty and homelessness because their immigration status allows them ‘no recourse to public funds’ (NRPF). We believe NRPF should not exist and we are working to end it. Until then, we seek to minimise its impact by supporting people to make the ‘change of conditions’ (CoC) application to access public funds. As part of this work, we continually develop new casework approaches to make CoCs more accessible to more people. By taking a strategic approach to our casework, we have opened up new routes for people to move through the process, and achieved greater recognition of groups with particular needs. We have also supported numerous strategic legal challenges which have prompted significant changes to the immigration rules and guidance related to CoCs.
In this cover position, you will play a key role in our strategic casework. You will be responsible for TUP’s ‘self-submissions’ casework provision for applicants who submit their own CoC applications independently. You will support with other strategically significant casework as required, including by liaising with public law firms, writing witness statements for JR challenges and communicating directly with Home Office policy teams. You will also share our CoC expertise with the sector through second-tier advice and training workshops.
The role will suit someone who has prior experience of supporting clients with NRPF, an interest in broader immigration policy and the desire to apply those skills to a specialist context. The role requires someone who can adapt quickly and apply a strategic mindset to the challenge of using legal routes to achieving systemic change.

Working closely with the Head of High Value Relationships and colleagues across Sense, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our high value fundraising strategy. You will manage a varied portfolio of trust and foundation funders, from early-stage research through to proposal submission, stewardship and reporting.
This role is ideal for an experienced trusts fundraiser who enjoys building relationships, writing compelling proposals, and working collaboratively to bring impactful projects to life.

About the Role
Help shape global action on homelessness. As a Global Homelessness Intern, you’ll work at the heart of Depaul International’s international team—supporting communications, advocacy and programme activity across multiple countries. You’ll turn data and lived experience into clear, compelling content, support innovative projects like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and contribute to advocacy work at the intersection of homelessness, health and education.

Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a 12 weeks fixed-term contract (37.5 hours per week). In addition, the appointed candidate will be offered a hybrid working arrangement with a maximum of two days a week from a home-based or remote location.
In this role, you will:
• Create clear, engaging written content for internal and external audiences, including reports, briefings and digital materials
• Collect, organise and present programme data and lived experience stories in accessible, visually compelling formats
• Support delivery and reporting of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) project across multiple countries
• Research, map and monitor advocacy opportunities at the intersection of homelessness, health and education
• Scope and develop case studies from across international services to inform advocacy and learning
• Design and support delivery of an internal global webinar, coordinating speakers and session content
• Provide practical programme, communications and administrative support to an international team
• Work collaboratively across countries while managing multiple priorities with initiative and accuracy
About You
Strong commitment to social justice and ending homelessness, shown through volunteering, study, lived experience or related engagement; clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing content, reports or presentations; well‑organised, analytical and proactive, able to manage priorities, work confidently with information, collaborate effectively with others, learn quickly, and contribute in a values‑driven, action‑focused way. Demonstrable interest and commitment to building a career in the third sector (e.g through volunteering).

Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. The focus in our housing services is to help develop the young people’s skills and confidence so that they can move on from supported accommodation and live independently.

Our Maintenance team works across multiple properties to give our residents a good quality, safe home, working closely with project staff to identify repairs required, make repairs, undertake ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and to make empty homes ready for re-occupation.
We have sites across East Sussex, centred around our Foyers in Eastbourne and Hastings. These services provide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering low to medium levels of housing-related support. There are homes throughout East Sussex for young people we continue to support into independence via our Transitional Housing teams, these are typically larger shared houses of four to eight residents sharing some communal facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. In total there are approximately 180 residents in East Sussex that the maintenance team oversee.
As a Painting and Decorating Coordinator, you will be based in either Eastbourne or Hastings, East Sussex, and will be required to travel and work across any of our YMCA DLG sites, with demand varying throughout the year. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential, and a vehicle will be provided.
A key part of the role involves redecorating empty homes to prepare them for new residents. This work must be completed promptly, to an agreed and consistent standard, and with clear communication to site and maintenance teams to ensure properties can be relet within void target times.
You will also carry out planned redecoration within communal areas of our accommodation, as well as offices and workspaces used by our staff and volunteers.
