Our client provides retirement services to those who serve or work for the church. Both a regulated pension fund and registered charity, more than 44,000 people rely on them for their pensions. The board also supports 2,500 retired clergy with housing, including managing a national portfolio of 1,200 rented homes and Community Living options.
Supported by a multi-million pound grant from the wider church, they are setting up a new function responsible for engaging with clergy at all stages of life and ministry on their current and future plans, offering access to grants to kick-start saving, bespoke advice at key life stages and tailored products that will provide people more choice about their future. As part of this new function, they are now recruiting for a proactive, empathetic Regional Adviser to deliver personalised support to clergy based across the South West region, helping them with day-to-day financial wellbeing matters, and retirement planning.
Working across Dioceses operating across the South West, you will proactively lead local engagement with clergy through structured, personalised one-to-one conversations, events and outreach, helping to connect individuals with expert advice, guidance, products and services that support their current and future financial plans. As a key point of contact for individuals and dioceses in your region, you’ll champion the needs and experiences of clergy, helping to build confidence about what the future might hold, and connecting people to the right information, products, specialists or local support. Working under the leadership of the Development Director and collaboratively with internal colleagues and external consultants and contractors. The role will be to fully coordinate from inception working with Rural Housing Enablers, site acquisition and planning through to completion with the day-to-day project management of rural exception site housing delivery (noting, we do deliver some through selective Section 106 planning schemes with housing developers). Our typical land lead sites are around eight to twelve affordable homes, and may incorporate some open market housing to provide some necessary cross subsidy funding.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in working and successfully delivering affordable housing development and preferably rural housing. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively but also be an independent self-starter. It takes a special person with professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative, tenacity and a great deal of pride in the end product to stay the course and deliver these small, often challenging yet ultimately rewarding community lead housing schemes. The right candidate will also ideally have some technical construction experience, either from formal qualification of direct housing delivery. You will be working as part of a small team, sharing office space and in close collaboration with colleagues and students. Our People & Culture team plays a central role in supporting Solace to deliver critical services for our survivors. We are on an ambitious journey to strengthen and modernise our People & Culture function, moving beyond traditional HR support to build a proactive, inclusive and high-performing culture across the organisation. About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and credible People & Culture Business Partner to join our growing team, combining hands-on operational support with the opportunity to contribute to strategic organisational change. Initially, the role will focus on employee relations and organisational stabilisation, supporting managers with complex casework, workforce challenges and change activity in a fast-paced environment. You will also contribute to wider People & Culture priorities, including workforce planning, management development, engagement, process improvement and the modernisation of people practices across the charity. Working closely with leaders and managers, you will help build confidence, capability and consistency in people management while supporting the delivery of organisational objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing practical problem-solving with longer-term improvement and is motivated to make a meaningful impact in a values-led organisation.
About You
You will be an experienced HR generalist with strong employee relations expertise and the confidence to support managers through complex and sensitive people matters. You will bring sound knowledge of UK employment law, strong judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Alongside your operational experience, you will also be excited by the opportunity to contribute to broader organisational and cultural change. You will be someone who enjoys improving processes, developing managers, using insight and data to identify opportunities, and helping to shape more effective and inclusive ways of working.

The Therapies Caseworker will be responsible for supporting delivery of Ben’s therapy provision including Ben’s 24/7 support line and onward therapy referrals. This role requires strong administration and caseworking skills, a level of specialist knowledge or experience and a commitment to providing person centred, compassionate support for those who are struggling or in crisis.
Key responsibilities
· To communicate in a professional and sensitive manner clinical and non-clinical advice and guidance within the scope of the service and practice to both internal and external stakeholders.
· Support Ben’s Urgent Response Service offering briefings, providing listening ear activity and therapeutic activities as and when required.
· In the absence of Therapies Co-ordinator or when needed may be required to set up new providers and associates, including due diligence checks which are also in line with new supplier requirements for financial administration.
· Support with the collection of management information and service user client outcomes and satisfaction data and insights.
· Collaborate on initiatives and projects that advance Ben’s charitable mission and objectives.
· Ensure any associated targets, SLA’s are worked towards and achieved and any underperformance is escalated accordingly.
· There may be times when the Therapies Caseworker may be required to support additional duties or projects. This will be discussed with them and agreed with their line manager.
Whilst this role does not specifically require the individual in post to be a clinician, this would be a desirable and enable the postholder to deliver internal therapeutic support for specific cases, providing telephone / virtual counselling sessions to identified individuals. In this instance, the postholder would also be required to maintain their professional registrations and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) as applicable, this will be supported by the organisation also.

· It would be desirable for the postholder to have or be working towards a minimum Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling or equivalent, or alternatively registered as a health, mental health, or social care practitioner e.g. BACP/UKCP/HCPC/BABCP or equivalent
· It would be desirable for the postholder to have a level 3 or 4 IAG qualification
· Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to stay informed about emerging trends, research, and best practices in counselling and therapy.
