ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

You will be the first point of contact for apprentices, training providers and internal stakeholders, helping to drive engagement and ensure high-quality delivery.

This is a varied role ideal for someone confident with systems, data and stakeholder management, who is passionate about creating opportunities for learners and supporting staff development.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager you will be responsible for:

• Acting as the first point of contact for apprenticeship queries, training providers and internal stakeholders
• Helping promote apprenticeship opportunities internally and supporting recruitment and upskilling initiatives across the Harris Federation
• Providing support to manage the Harris Federation apprenticeship levy, tracking costs, progress and compliance with funding requirements
• Organising and promoting Apprenticeship events and information sessions across the Federation and academy sites, supporting senior leaders in promoting apprenticeships and recruiting future apprentices
• Supporting internal and external marketing for apprenticeship activities as part of wider employer branding and promoting engagement events to increase awareness and understanding of apprenticeships
• Facilitating an apprenticeship network and supporting development opportunities such as award nominations
• Maintaining and advising on safeguarding compliance, including neuro-inclusion, in alignment with the Ofsted framework, especially for under-18 apprentices
• Supporting the Apprenticeship team with projects focused on implementation, procurement, quality assurance and evaluation to expand levy use or facilitate levy transfer
• Working with the marketing team to create marketing materials, update the Apprenticeship SharePoint, produce event leaflets and share internal communications promoting Apprenticeship programmes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• The ability to establish a new role in the Harris Federation and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver successful apprenticeship programmes
• Strong project management skills with experience of complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Experience of working across a large organisation, developing and delivering initiatives and maintaining stakeholder relationships
• The ability to travel to Federation academies in and around London and Essex as required
• Experience of managing a Learning Management System within the FE sector and working with the third-party service provider to ensure the platforms are user friendly and up to date
• Supporting with tracking of tickets within the learning management system and working together with the third-party service provider to resolve any issues and ensuring the platform is fit for purpose
• Experience of ILR monthly declaration and its analysis using various MIS platforms

Conduct high level analysis and interpretation of management information for a variety of audiences.
Develop reports and visualisations from our data warehouses using BI tools (Power BI, Business Objects, SSRS) to enable self- service reporting across the business.

This individual will join a successful team, stewarding and cultivating existing supporters as well as managing a pipeline of prospects through their giving journey. You will work directly with the Head of Fundraising and be responsible for your own portfolio of major donors, trusts and family foundations. By August 2027 Bookmark aim to have reached 500,000 children with our literacy programmes, you could be part of that incredible goal.

Experience in philanthropy is welcome but not essential. We are equally interested in candidates with a strong track record of managing high-value relationships and delivering excellent stewardship in commercial or client-facing roles.

Job Description

Delivering the Philanthropy plan

• Work with the Director of Fundraising to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy 
• Build and maintain a portfolio of existing and new major donors who give or can give £20,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
• Line manage the Philanthropy Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance
• Work with our Fundraising Research & Administration Intern to identify new potential Bookmark major donors, working with Trustees, senior stakeholders, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to secure introductions and make asks of prospective supporters
• Design and deliver creative events and activities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors
• Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand. 
• Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording, progression and forecasting of major donor relationships, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management

Work with the rest of the Fundraising team

• Work closely with the rest of the Fundraising team to ensure opportunities to maximise income for the fundraising team
• Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity’s strategic objectives
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team, Chair of Trustees and colleagues across the charity to ensure major donor fundraising activity is aligned with the charity’s wider plans and objectives

Person Specification

Essential

• A successful track record in managing high-value relationships, including a proven track record of securing five-figure gifts
• Experience working towards and meeting, or exceeding, income targets
• Experience developing high value relationships through all stages of the giving cycle 
• A demonstrable ability to build internal relationships and use senior stakeholders (CEO, Trustees, Senior Leadership Team) to help progress major donor relationships
• Experience working on successful events that meet fundraising targets
• Great verbal communication skills, demonstrated by strong external and internal relationships. You will have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate
• Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a high value audience
• Experience growing and managing a pipeline, planning for your portfolio and increasing income
• An understanding and ability to build budgets and work with financials

The role

We are seeking a part-time in-house Legal Counsel who can support stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory guidance, and internal legal policies. This role sits at the heart of our organisation, advising on contractual terms with our suppliers, funders, members, grant recipients and partner museums and galleries.

With a membership of 148,000, ensuring the highest standard of compliance with data protection is critical to our organisation. The successful candidate will be confident advising on data protection law and providing training to colleagues.

You’ll be working in partnership with colleagues to find pragmatic solutions that minimise risk while helping to maximise opportunities, providing high-quality legal advice, liaising with external counsel where required and managing the associated budget.

The role requires a recognised UK legal qualification with ongoing registration as a solicitor with the SRA or equivalent, alongside solid post-qualification experience and the ability to work independently across a broad and varied remit.

We are looking for new team members to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

We have full and part-time roles available (minimum 22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. The Legacy & In Memory (LIM) Marketing Team is responsible for increasing awareness and consideration for gifts in wills and/or an in memory gift. As our Legacy & In Memory Senior Marketing Officer you will deliver a range of compelling communications to increase consideration for legacy giving and implement personalised stewardship journeys for our legacy and in memory supporters, as well as delivering engaging thank you events, and work closely with the Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager to drive sustainable change.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience in generating six-figure strategic, new business partnerships from cold in the charity sector or in a commercial setting and proven ability to meet and exceed personal targets.
• An externally focused and proactive attitude, with the energy and passion to engage people and excite them about WaterAid, alongside the ability to forge effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including internal and external C-suite.

About the role

You will be responsible for all aspects of programme management and delivery of the Envision programme in a cluster of schools/colleges in your region.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies:  

• Experience of facilitating activities with young people – including preparing engaging sessions in advance by utilising resources available to them  

• Experience of project management – highly organised, with the ability to manage your own time to meet deadlines  

• Experience of working on projects which have multiple stakeholders – communicating effectively through written and verbal communication  

• Commitment to Envision’s vision, mission and values and ability to work well in, and contribute to, our organisational culture  

Desirable Experience, Knowledge and Competencies:  

• Experience of data handling – collecting and recording data in a timely manner using an online CRM system  

• Understanding of, and/ or lived experience of, the barriers that young people face, that contribute to the education and employment gap

Salary: £41,783 per year for Cardiff, Edinburgh, Warrington. £46,666 per year for London (including London allowance)

About the role

Reporting in to the Communications and Content Lead, the Copywriter will inspire audiences to give, act and pray with Christian Aid, so everyone can live a full life, free from poverty and injustice.

The post-holder will generate compelling creative copy and make impactful decisions around writing, editing, proofing and reviewing copy to the highest quality standard and supporting freelancers and agencies to do the same. Their output uses their creativity, expertise and passion for copy to create and oversee exemplary content for both print and digital media.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Copywriter include:

• Provide copy leadership within the Communications Division and ensures high quality copy aligns with Christian Aid’s tone of voice and brand.
• Review written content to ensure it supports fundraising and advocacy goals to the highest standard.
• Undertake a range of ad-hoc and planned copy-based and creative services or projects delivered to internal clients including creative consultations, pre-brief scoping sessions, and sanctioning exemptions to specific brand messaging.
• Manage freelance copywriters on the roster, ensuring they are trained and advised on how to apply the brand tone of voice and messaging through various types of content, in addition agencies are given feedback and direction to maximise our impact.
• Collaborate with teams across Christian Aid, enabling colleagues to write and edit content through advice, training and inductions.

About you

Who we are looking for:

Essential:

• Highly developed copywriting, editing, proofing and creative concepting skills. An authoritative and inspiring writer, able to create stand-out copy and adapt writing style to meet audience needs.
• Significant experience in a relevant field e.g. Creative Writing, Marketing, Communications, or Content Creation.
• Significant experience of developing, managing, and applying brand guidelines.
• Significant experience of championing a brand and brand values to colleagues, freelancers and agencies.
• Highly developed time, creative and project management skills.
• Developed ability to work autonomously in a creative, fast-paced environment, across a wide range of print and digital projects including, direct mailings, awareness campaigns, magazines and social media assets.
• Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills. Confident in pitching to and influencing internal clients.
• Significant experience of collaborative creative work, particularly with colleagues and freelancers.
• Highly developed ability to interrogate briefs and suggest creative solutions, adapting written style to need.
• Highly developed eye for detail with ability to spot errors, unethical nuances and potential legal issues.
• Understanding of the latest trends in copywriting, including knowledge of writing for the web.

Desirable:

• Understanding of the charity/not-for-profit sector.
• Understanding of communications and ethics within international development.
