About the role

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are now recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service to join our Kingston & Sutton team. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, following the principles of the IPS model to support people into paid employment. If you were working with us, your days would be varied and people-centred. The Restart programme offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 6 months to find jobs in their local area. About the role
You’ll lead and oversee the delivery of services and activities in your region to support people affected by Parkinson’s to live as well as possible. You’ll be the visible regional leader of Parkinson’s UK, inspiring a multi-disciplinary team to work in an integrated way to deliver impact for our community.
This will require a clear understanding of our strategy, priorities, data, and insight, translating these into a shared delivery plan for the region, to build a community of support locally that meets the needs of all communities.
What you’ll do:
Be the visible regional leader of Parkinson’s UK in the South West of England;
Lead and manage the regional team to work together effectively alongside our community including managing the regional budget.
Deliver integrated team plans which reflect strategic aims and priorities, delivering impact and benefit for our community locally;
Ensure support for volunteers, local groups and other external stakeholders;
Ensure that our local advisory services are fully accessible and reach all communities in your region;
Oversee community development to grow our services to ensure they are inclusive and reach across all local communities;
What you’ll bring:
Experience of leading, managing and motivating a home based staff team driving collaboration and shared planning
Ability to provide operational and strategic leadership to the team
Experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including volunteers and local groups/branches and people who use our advisory services
Strong planning and performance measurement skills and experience along with the ability to use data to measure impact and drive improvement
Knowledge of health and social care structures and services relevant to people affected by Parkinson’s
Experience of partnership working particularly within multi-disciplinary health and social care settings

About You and The Role
Join our dynamic Employment Team as a dedicated Employment Advisor, supporting individuals 1:1 on their journey into work, developing action plans, building skills, and driving positive outcomes in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
Working as a member of the Employment Team you will engage on a 1:1 basis with our employment programme participants, establishing and maintaining excellent relationships to understand and meet their individual needs. You will develop personal action plans which enable movement of these people towards and into further sustainable employment. You will work in a friendly, busy employment team environment to ensure programme performance targets are consistently achieved to meet requirements of the allocated contract.
We want someone like you with the confidence to positively engage and motivate people from a wide range of backgrounds. In your role you will work closely with the local community and employers, supporting referrals onto the programme and identifying employment opportunities. You will enable participants to develop valuable work based skills and gain knowledge. Your role will require you to be supportive and understanding, be able to deal with any issues that may arise confidently. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to adapt them pending on what you are dealing with, communicating at different levels as key in this role.
