An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Clinical Governance to join our Nursing and Quality  Team. This role will require the successful candidate to lead and enhance the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care for children. This role is pivotal in overseeing clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing clinical risks, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

The postholder will work collaboratively across teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, aligning with The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives. Whilst the post directly reports to the Director of Nursing and Quality, the remit of the role spans the whole organisation and works across all clinical directorates.

Role Requirements

· Develop and maintain an effective clinical governance framework that supports safe and high-quality care.

· Facilitate regular clinical governance meetings to discuss performance, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Ensure that clinical pathways and practices are aligned with best practice guidelines and evidence-based standards.

· Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety across all services, promoting a culture of transparency and reporting.

· Implement and maintain the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring that learning from         incidents is captured and shared.

· Monitor and report on patient safety metrics, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate action plans are developed.

· Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and experiences.

· Lead quality impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in practice, evaluating potential risks and benefits and manage the organisational governance in relation to these.

· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines, including CQC regulations and national safety frameworks.

· Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory changes and ensure organisational policies and practices reflect these updates.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

About the role

We are excited to be recruiting a Technical Project Manager to join our Technology directorate on a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract.

Alongside this, you will project manage the implementation of other system improvement projects, delivering solutions that support our Conservation, Finance and Fundraising teams to work more efficiently and effectively.

You will work closely with delivery partners, internal stakeholders and governance forums to ensure projects are delivered to scope, budget and timeline.

You will be confident operating within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experienced in using tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Project or Asana to manage plans, risks and deliverables. You will also understand that successful delivery is not only about systems, but about people, adoption and sustainable change.

Job Summary

A key focus of our strategy is to reach and engage with as many people as possible, affected by and at risk of bowel cancer, by embedding our information and support services within NHS diagnostic, treatment and care pathways. As Health Professional Education and Engagement Manager you will play a central role in helping us achieve this. Purpose of the Role 

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this exciting new role offers the opportunity to support NHP's internal expertise on Housing; ensure we have strong partnerships with Housing Providers and grow the offers of housing from Housing Providers across the UK, to support our growth as a charity. Essentially with more housing we can establish more Local House Projects (LHPs) and expand those that already exist, and in turn support more young people.

Working closely with senior leadership team (CEO, Director of Practice and Director of Partnerships), this role will lead on developing our first Housing Strategy and ensure we have the internal knowledge, expertise and capacity to grow our housing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities 

General 

• Lead the development and implementation of NHP’s Housing Partnership Strategy in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team ensuring aligned with organisational priorities and growth of NHP. 

• Build, develop and sustain a strong pipeline of housing partners across all NHP locations- at both a local and national level. Maintain effective relationships with existing providers whilst identifying new business and strategic housing opportunities to grow supply. 

• Work closely with local authorities (and LHPs) to understand regional housing supply, demand and challenges- with a view to informing the Housing Partnership Strategy. 

• Develop and maintain a database of partnerships with Housing Providers, and opportunities for growth  

• Represent NHP at regional and national Housing Forums, conferences and events 

• Support Local House Projects to negotiate property offers and advocate for care-experienced young people and the NHP approach 

• Coordinate the Housing Community of Practice with one of the Practice Leads 

• Work with the Director of Partnerships to secure tangible opportunities to deliver Social Value opportunities- including collaborations and strategic opportunities.

• Support LAs to maximise the accommodation offer to care leavers through Section 106 agreements and their responsibility to Public Value in all commissioned services 

• Deliver ‘horizon scanning’ briefings to the NHP team so they are up to date with housing policy, progress and challenges to inform their work and practice 

Communications and Collaboration 

• Develop case studies and share best practice/our approach across the Housing Sector 

• Work closely with the Business Support Administrator and Admin Team to create and share communications about housing 

• Support the preparation of housing partnership updates, impact stories, and social media content. 

• Contribute to internal communications about partnership successes and learning. 

• Support the rest of the NHP team from time to time, as required.

You will be based at the NHP office in Crewe for a minimum of 2 days per week, but you will be expected to travel and attend meetings across the country on a regular basis.

Founded by parents in 2000, we provide a continuum of support from Early Years through Post-19, alongside outreach, training, and our pioneering BeyondAutism Fast Responder service. We combine direct education for children with the most complex needs with national training, resources, and policy influence – creating a blueprint for inclusion that can be scaled across the country.

Job Overview

To lead the operational delivery of Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising activity across BeyondAutism, ensuring disciplined prioritisation, effective resource management and alignment with strategic objectives.

The post-holder acts as the operational coordinator for the department, translating strategic priorities set by the Head of Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising into deliverable programmes of activity. The role ensures that engagement, fundraising and digital initiatives are sequenced effectively and that internal teams receive coordinated support.

Working across multiple organisational services and sites, the Engagement Operations Manager maintains oversight of campaign planning, storytelling pipelines and departmental workflow.

About The Role

Operational coordination

• Act as the first point of contact for Development and Engagement requests across the organisation.
• Manage departmental workflow and prioritisation across engagement, digital and fundraising teams.
• Maintain and oversee the departmental engagement and campaign calendar.
• Sequence communications, engagement and fundraising campaigns to ensure capacity is used effectively.
• Ensure requests from services and departments are aligned with organisational priorities.

Campaign planning and coordination

• Coordinate the development and delivery of internal and external engagement campaigns.

• Work closely with the Digital and Content Manager to sequence digital production work.
• Support the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager by ensuring fundraising campaigns are supported by engagement activity.

Organisational engagement oversight

• Maintain visibility of organisational milestones, events and governance cycles that require communications support.
• Ensure internal engagement initiatives support staff understanding of organisational priorities.
• Support coordination of cross-organisation initiatives requiring communications or engagement support.

Operational management and reporting

• Maintain departmental dashboards and delivery trackers.
• Monitor progress of campaigns and engagement activity against agreed plans.
• Track departmental budgets, purchase orders and supplier expenditure where required.
• Ensure accurate reporting of engagement activity to the Head of Development and Engagement.

Line management and team development

• Line manage the Internal Engagement Officer, External Communications and Engagement Officer and Development Officer (Graduate Programme).
• Provide coaching, prioritisation guidance and performance management for team members.
• Support professional development and skill building within the engagement team.
• Ensure team members are working in a coordinated and collaborative way.

Experience

· find and unlock access to senior leads within companies not already working with us (e.g., public affairs, communications and corporate social relationship teams) as well as taking up the reins of stewarding relationships with some of the companies already working with us

· listen and understand corporates’ priorities, understanding their budgets, potential to fundraise within their teams and networks, and their safety, sustainability, policy and pr priorities; and articulate what Brake does and our need for help

· forge, together, actionable joint plans that generate funds for Brake from a company, directly or through their supply chain / customers. You will achieve six figure funding targets, by generating five figure funds from new and existing partners

· Work alongside team members in public affairs, PR, and public engagement to understand our programmes of work in campaigns and seek the engagement of new and existing corporate supporters in those programmes, for example through participation and sponsorship

· Be responsible for developing your own pipeline of leads and accurately forecasting income you will fundraise from this pipeline and listing partnership activities that will be delivered

About the role

You’ll be the main contact for the national training team providing support directly to kinship carers, training facilitators and others relating to the access and delivery of training events and workshops. 

You’ll provide professional and effective administrative and technical support to training operations, including co-ordinating logistics, publishing event details, administrating the back-end data, supplier communication, financial administration and attending in person and online events to ensure smooth delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Training event coordination

• Provide administrative support, including supplier communication, coordinating logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks 

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to coordinate and confirm event logistics for in-person and online events.

• Identify and secure appropriate organisations to exhibit as part of Roadshow marketplace events, providing in event hosting of these organisations. 

• Source and secure venues and catering that meet event requirements for all in-person training events.

• Provide administrative, practical and technical support at training events both online and in-person. 

• Act as central point for Zoom set-up, licenses and queries for team, kinship carers and external partners.

Systems and processes coordination 

• Monitor planned expenditure to ensure it is in line with event budgets. 

• Ensure invoicing and payments are accurate and processed to time. 

• Support the monitoring and reporting on training activity via our Salesforce database, including providing data reports as required. 

• Support the production, update, distribution and quality assurance of workshop materials and ensure all collateral is on brand, signed off as required. 

• Develop and maintain an asset register of all training materials and equipment, ensuring availability when and where it is needed.

• Act as website champion for the team, managing and uploading all training content (workshop and events) and ensuring online training information is kept up to date. 

• Provide support to the training team as required including to assist service improvements and supporting manualisation and documentation of all processes 

• Set up and implement effective tools and documentation to support all operational needs of the training service.
