ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an Attendance and Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Harris Federation on a fixed-term basis from September 2026 to August 2029.
This role is part of an exciting project taking place in our Croydon secondary academies to improve school attendance by addressing barriers caused by poor mental health. The role involves working collaboratively with school attendance teams and external agencies to identify students at risk of persistent absence, using data-driven approaches and evidence-based interventions.
This role is term time only plus three weeks, and the actual salary will be £33,012-£35,000 (41 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week).
Interviews will take place on 8th June 2026.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
By managing a caseload of students, delivering targeted one-to-one and group support, and working with parents, you will implement strategies that support attendance and wellbeing. You will also contribute to the research and evaluation of the project, in partnership with Maudsley Education Consulting Service (MECS), our partners in this work. Effective communication, safeguarding, and accurate record-keeping are integral to supporting students, families and schools in achieving positive outcomes.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Partnerships and Advocacy Manager to strengthen The Politics Project’s influencing and partnerships work, with a focus on Democracy Classroom - a non-partisan network of organisations across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You’ll lead the implementation of the new Democracy Classroom strategy, and grow the network’s impact and reach in the build up to the next general election and the implementation of votes at 16.
You will play a central role in expanding and activating the network - supporting over 100 partner organisations to collaborate effectively, share learning, build trust and increase their collective impact. You will be a key player in keeping the sector informed, connected and ready to respond to key moments in democratic engagement, from elections to policy changes.
You will take on a highly relational role, working closely with the team to manage and nurture a complex network blending multiple sectors. You will collaborate with the Director to manage shared relationships across the Democracy Classroom network, building more ownership over time. You’ll help position Democracy Classroom as an important conduit between the sector and major stakeholders like government departments and funders.
This is a dynamic, outward-facing role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on coordination. You’ll work closely with the Head of Communications and Networks, the Democracy Classroom Programme Coordinator and colleagues across The Politics Project to make sure partners feel supported, valued and part of a shared mission.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. Key responsibilities
Partnership management
Build, nurture and deepen relationships with more than 100 civil society partners, helping each partner see themselves as part of a growing and collaborative sector.

Develop and deliver partner communications to ensure consistent, clear and timely updates.
Act as the main point of contact for Democracy Classroom partner queries, support and collaboration.
Monitoring and reporting
Track partner engagement and feedback to support continuous improvement.
Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate the network’s impact.
Work with The Politics Project team to most effectively document partner activity.

The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering with the Henry Smith Foundation to recruit three Programme Assistants to join their Programme Teams. These roles sit at the heart of the organisation, providing high quality administrative and coordination support that enables colleagues to focus on meaningful, impact driven work.
This role plays a vital part in creating the conditions for good collaboration, inclusive ways of working, and well run decision making. It combines strong organisational skills with relationship centred working, care, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the Foundation’s values.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high quality administrative and coordination support to Programme Teams, helping ensure effective day-to-day operations
Manage diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, correspondence, and documentation for Programme colleagues.
Coordinate meetings, panels, webinars, and events, including agenda preparation, papers, note taking, and follow up actions
Support grants and governance processes, including maintaining accurate data on the grants management system
Act as a first point of contact for enquiries from applicants and external partners, providing clear and timely responses
Support basic budget tracking and financial administration in line with internal controls
Maintain shared resources, guidance documents, contact records, and knowledge banks to ensure information is accurate and accessible
Work collaboratively across teams to support inclusive, well run ways of working that reflect organisational values
Person Specification
Experience in an administrative or team support role within a busy office or organisational environment
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when working with data and records
Confidence using standard office IT systems and databases
A calm, professional, and proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

What’s on Offer
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Hours: Part time, 28 hours per week
Contract: 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

You will be joining Ashden at a pivotal moment. In 2024, we launched our Changemakers campaign to secure mission-aligned funding from donors making four and five-figure gifts and beyond - a programme you will personally lead and continue to shape and develop - an exciting opportunity to nuture an emerging initiative by stewarding and uplifting current donors whilst attracting new supporters. Working in close partnership with the Director of Business Development, you will also proactively support the prospecting, cultivation and stewardship of both new and existing donors to secure transformational seven-figure gifts. As our Major Donor Lead you will have the opportunity to define, refine and strengthen our major donor proposition more broadly, securing both unrestricted and restricted income to support our long-term impact.
We’re seeking an experienced fundraiser with a track record of securing major gifts and building strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals. While climate or environmental exposure is not essential, alignment with Ashden's values and passion for driving systems change is crucial. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, including senior leadership and Trustees, and will have key strategic and operational input into the success of our fundraising, the growth of the team, and the broader impact of our charity.
