Job description

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Philanthropy Manager (part-time) role. This position involves cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic donors to support impactful education programmes in developing regions, through personalised engagement and strategic fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, approach, and manage relationships with prospective and existing donors to secure significant gifts.
  • Develop and implement tailored donor engagement plans, including face-to-face meetings, events, and written communications.
  • Organise and support high-quality fundraising events and engagement opportunities to cultivate relationships and generate income.
  • Research potential new donors, funding streams, and opportunities, supporting proposal and report development.
  • Manage donor records and interactions accurately within CRM systems, ensuring timely acknowledgements and stewardship follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support to senior stakeholders for supporter meetings, communications, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate across teams to optimise donor engagement strategies, leveraging learnings from past activities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the organisation’s programmes, impact, and funding needs to inspire supporter confidence.


Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in developing relationships and securing funding from high-net-worth individuals or philanthropic sources.
  • Confident in designing and delivering personalised, high-quality engagement and stewardship activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of inspiring and motivating supporters.
  • Demonstrable organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and under pressure while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Genuine commitment to the organisation’s mission and values, with an understanding of international development and education sectors.


What’s on Offer:

  • Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 (£40,000 - £45,000 FTE)
  • Location: Remote – UK based
  • Contract: Part-time (3 days a week) - 9-month FTC
  • Start: October 12th
