Fundraising Manager
We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager – Trusts & Foundations and Corporate Fundraising to join a pioneering organisation.
You will be working for a charity that transforms the lives of care-experienced young people, helping them gain the skills, confidence, and inspiration to achieve sustainable employment. If you're passionate about strategic fundraising and creating life-changing opportunities, this role is for you.
Position: Fundraising Manager – Trusts & Foundations and Corporate Fundraising
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

About the Role:
As Fundraising Manager, you will support the Director of Fundraising in implementing our charity's strategy across trusts & foundations and corporate fundraising. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering fundraising plans, managing donor relationships, and leading income generation from both new and existing funders. This includes building funding propositions for corporate donors, securing grants, and stewarding relationships to maximise long-term support.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and apply for funding from trusts, foundations, and corporates.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with funders and major donors.
- Manage the full grant and partnership lifecycle—from research to reporting.
- Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to secure income from strategic corporate partners.
- Develop compelling, impact-driven funding proposals tailored to donor motivations.
- Organise donor events and cultivation activities.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and effective donor acknowledgement systems.
- Maintain up-to-date records and reporting systems for pipeline management.
- Stay abreast of fundraising trends, especially in youth, employability, and CSR sectors.
About You:
You’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts.
You'll have a passion for transforming young lives and thrive in a mission-driven environment. You bring a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on fundraising execution, with the confidence to engage major donors and corporates.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
- At least 3 years' experience in fundraising, with success in securing significant grants.
- At least 2 years' experience in corporate fundraising or CSR partnerships.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent proposal-writing skills.
- Outstanding research and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Empathy for care-experienced young people and a commitment to the charity’s mission.
- Understanding of donor/partner motivations and corporate philanthropy.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM desirable.
- Event management and knowledge of local funders and corporate CSR programmes is a plus.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a Prospect Team Manager to identify, qualify and deliver high-quality prospect insight to support transformational giving across their philanthropy and high value programmes.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, grow their philanthropy programme and increase engagement and impact.
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that will shape how the charity uses data, research and insight to drive significant growth in income from major donors, corporate partners and other high-value supporters. You will lead the Prospect Research function, developing and delivering a proactive, insight-led prospect research strategy to support the charity’s ambitious fundraising goals, as well as working to identify potential major donors amongst individuals, trusts and corporates.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legacy Marketing Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our legacy marketing programme.
Legacy gifts are our single largest source of voluntary income, with significant potential for growth. To recognise this, we have secured additional investment to help us engage, inspire and acquire new legacy supporters through multi-channel marketing activities.
Working closely with the Heads of Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving, you will develop strategies to raise awareness of gifts in Wills, reach new audiences and develop new supporter journeys to engage new and existing legacy pledgers and prospects with our research.
As a creative, innovative and data-led marketeer, you will develop and deliver our legacy fundraising programme with the support of your direct reports – the Legacy Marketing and Legacy Stewardship Officers – and the Digital Marketing and Fundraising Communications teams.
You will also build important relationships with colleagues across the Development Office, including working with Philanthropy to promote legacy giving to their audiences.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan, manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across the marketing mix and work with your team to deliver exceptional campaigns and stewardship, to recruit, retain and engage our committed supporters.
You will:
- Work with your Manager to devise and implement marketing and stewardship strategies to maximise legacy giving and engage with existing legacy pledgers.
- Be responsible for using data and insights to innovate and maximise our legacy marketing campaigns to targeted audiences, and to develop, test and analyse new activities.
- Deliver legacy marketing campaigns that are fully integrated and cover the full marketing media mix (potentially including TV, email, direct mail / door drop, paid digital, events).
- Create inspiring copy and ensure that all campaigns, publications and materials fall within our tone of voice and brand guidelines.
- Undertake project management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of multiple channel campaigns, in line with agreed strategies and annual plans.
- Be responsible for managing and the personal development of your team, to deliver their campaigns and activities, to agreed objectives and KPIs.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns and stewardship
- Develop new supporter journeys, tailored communications and events – to ensure legacy pledgers feel valued and stay engaged with our research.
About You
You’ll be passionate about using your experience in fundraising and marketing to make a difference to the lives of people with cancer, by creating inspiring multi-channel marketing campaigns that effectively raise consideration for legacy giving and uncover new legacy prospects and legacy pledgers.
To be successful, you’ll need:

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Manage the philanthropy manager role through coaching, and by motivating and supporting them to reach their annual target.
- Build on a warm portfolio of donors to achieve current income targets and spot opportunities for growth and deeper development of philanthropic relationships
- Monitor and deliver annual philanthropy budgets and KPIs, assessing ongoing performance, proactively managing risks and providing accurate reporting.
- Own and drive the Major Donor strategy in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy.
- Support on intermediary strategy and growth in this area.
- Work as part of the Philanthropy Team to grow opportunities within the major donor funding stream in line with UK4U’s fundraising strategy
- Lead on the growth and development of a robust prospect pipeline working with the corporate team, individual giving team, trustees, prospect research team, philanthropy team and other key stakeholders.
- Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors and also the internal technical experts and leadership colleagues who can help support and drive forward opportunities.
- Craft compelling propositions and proposals for major donors and ensure quality and timely reporting on donations made.
- Establish a strategic and tactical response to selected prospects and existing major donors in the event of humanitarian emergencies.
- Work independently and with the prospect researcher to gather up-to-date and accurate information on existing and prospective donors.
- Maintain accurate records on Salesforce, for income recording and earmarking.
- Work with the wider team to deliver bespoke activities including virtual and in-person events
- Support wider PPH strategic initiatives: helping identify and implement enablers to help the organisation secure and grow more multi-year partnerships, including at transformational levels.
- Help to position and raise awareness of UK4U’s role among peers, donors and other audiences by participating in sector networks and representing UK4U at events, as appropriate.
- Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and GDPR policies and processes.

The special events coordinator will report to the special events manager.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our Individual Giving Officer (Stewardship). This is a vital new role sitting in our recently expanded Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving team.
You will deliver a defined stewardship strategy and supporter care programme aimed at engaging with donors in a range of ways, to ensure that both new and existing donors are appropriately acknowledged, recognised, and informed about the impact of their giving – providing the highest quality of relationship with our charity.
