We're looking for a Volunteer Administrative Support Assistant to join our team for ideally a 6-month placement. This is a great opportunity to develop your administrative and organisational skills while supporting a charity working to reduce food waste, tackle food poverty and support our local community. You don't need extensive administrative experience. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and keen to contribute to a meaningful organisation. As Volunteer Administrative Support Intern, you'll provide essential support across the charity's day-to-day operations. 

The role is remote with the opportunity to come into our Brixton office. You will work closely with charity staff to collaborate with other organisations and prepare for upcoming projects in 2027. We are looking for someone to work 9 to 5 hours for 2-3 days a week.

Who we are:

Founded in 2018, Compliments of The House (CoTH) began by collecting surplus cooked food from Brixton Village and surrounding areas, and redistributing it free to people in need. From our local hubs we served our guests, and also ran our ‘Back to Work’ and ‘Care Leaver’ schemes. 

During the COVID-19 lockdown, we could not host our guests in our hub. So we launched a temporary grocery delivery scheme supported by local council school buses, which gained recognition from the Prime Minister due to its impact. 

Since then, we have found a new venture to channel our commitments to reducing the environmental impact within hospitality whilst nourishing people through food. We are so lucky to have many vibrant and diverse festivals locally and across the UK, which produce a whopping 400 tonnes in food waste every year! We’re taking on the challenge to reduce that waste and use it to nourish those in need. 

We’re looking for someone:

• Comfortable with emails and Google Drive or Microsoft programmes

• Who has an understanding of GDPR, able to maintain confidentiality in line with data protection

• Happy to pitch in on varied tasks and projects

• With excellent written communication skills, basic numeracy and computer skills

• Organised and reliable, someone who can manage their own work and time

• Passionate about sustainability, reducing food waste or supporting communities

• Eager to learn and contribute new ideas

Responsibilities:

• General administrative duties, e.g. data entry, managing emails and Google Drive documents/ records, updating spreadsheets and organisational records 

• Handling sensitive information such as personal data and charity finances (receipts, funding etc.)

• Supporting organising for our campaigns, sourcing equipment, recruiting volunteers

• Adapting, editing, drafting, updating and designing materials/literature

• Research background material for projects 

• Take part in meetings with external organisations involved in our projects and taking meeting minutes

Social Media/Marketing Manager

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. We are looking for someone to help us publicise CAG and what we do to build a consistent positive message about young people and Challenge Adventure Group and, ultimately, build a demand to be a part of CAG.

These messages and stories will be delivered through a variety of media.  Additionally, we want to engage our current and potential audiences by creating and developing a compelling social media strategy and content.  We want to get the CAG name and story out into the community to build long lasting and meaningful relationships with local organisations, community groups and other relevant parties and to establish CAG as a strong and vibrant participant of local life.

Description

We are looking for an experienced offline and online/social media marketer to work with us to maximise our presence in order to attract new members and volunteers and to advertise CAG to its full potential.

We would like you to:

• Develop and on and offline marketing strategy.
• Prepare and deliver on and offline marketing material and stories.
• Perform a social media audit: Assess the current state of our social media pages and make recommendations on how we might improve our presence and engagement and where we might focus our efforts.

• Provide guidance/strategy on how we can manage our social media on an ongoing basis e.g. using a centralised tool, creating a content calendar, identifying easy and free graphic tools and images.

• Work with our Group Leader who will provide our existing brand/style guidelines and share the CAG ethos.

We are looking for a volunteer who has experience of:

• Writing and editing marketing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok / across all platforms.
• Building strategies to increase social media following and build fundraising or awareness campaigns.
• Developing a coherent brand voice for social media, from content creation to community interactions.
• Using and setting up tools such as Hootsuite, Social Sprout, Canva, etc.
• Creating content calendars to help plan social media activity.
• Marketing specific events such as New Member Evenings and Duke of Edinburgh Introductory Presentations.

Ideally you should have/be:

• A flexible team player.
• A basic understanding of what CAG stands for and its place in the local community.
• A passion for the work of CAG and the importance of it to its members and volunteers.
• Experience of digital: social media marketing.
• Ability to engage and build a rapport with a wide range of people and organisations including local schools.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
• A car driver or have ability to travel to attend events and meetings.
• The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Check, either a current or new application that can be made through CAG.

Your input is key to the running of CAG as well as securing its future.  You will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public. With your help we will be able to continue to grow our membership through building campaigns to recruit new members who will be able to take advantage of all the challenging adventures we offer and help make the lives of these young people richer and more positive. You will build on the social media campaign we already have in place to help us raise awareness in the local community of what we do and why we do it and ensure that we become a key player in our community as a whole.

Sheffield Community Volunteer

This role involves supporting at a range of events to help raise money and awareness to tackle the housing emergency. It’s a really flexible opportunity. Once you’re signed up, we’ll let you know about upcoming events and tasks, and you can decide which you’d like to do.

Location: Sheffield

Suggested contribution: It’s up to you! Ideally, you’d help out at least 4-5 times per year, but this is flexible.

The role:

This role involves supporting the Health Improvement Team(HIT) in delivering community outreach activities across Weymouth and the surrounding areas, often working from the HIT Van to engage with local residents. Volunteers help promote health, wellbeing, and independence among high-risk and vulnerable individuals, providing information, signposting, and encouragement to access appropriate services. The role includes participating in campaign days, community events, and public awareness activities to highlight the support available through REACH Drug and Alcohol Service. A lived experience of overcoming personal challenges is preferred, as this can help build trust, empathy, and meaningful connections with those accessing support.

Who are we?

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. We work to increase inclusion and representation across society for the disability community.We have several different services including inclusive characters, sensory workshops, resources, events, advocacy and more.

What are we looking for?

Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity that gives you just that little bit more of challenge? Are you interested in graphic design? Or have an artistic flair?

Our Creative Team are looking for 3 creative team leads to manage creative projects and tasks. Such as our activity packs, social media and campaigns. 

What do we expect?

• Be willing to undertake our training programme which will be done virtually and at a time to suit you.

• Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it please do discuss it with us and we will be happy to have a conversation and make small changes if appropriate).

• A positive attitude to disability and illness. We are happy to answer questions on this.

What can you expect?

• A community group that does not currently operate a rota system of any kind. Youdon’t have to regularly commit your time.

• A kind, caring, nurturing company who cares about people, staff and volunteers. Our aim is to keep your wellbeing at the centre of our work.

About Becky’s Child Foundation
Becky’s Child Foundation is a registered national NGO in Uganda (headquartered in Kamuli) dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and women/girls. We work to restore dignity and create lasting change through education support, healthcare (including kidney medical camps), disability inclusion, food aid, and women/girl-child empowerment programmes. Our vision is a Uganda where every child and every vulnerable person can live with dignity, hope, and equal opportunities.We are looking for a passionate Digital Marketer to help amplify our impact, grow our online presence, and inspire more people to support our mission.The Role
As our Digital Marketer you will lead and develop the Foundation’s digital communications and fundraising efforts. You will create engaging content, manage our social media channels, grow our online community, and help convert awareness into donations and partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to use your digital skills for real social impact in Uganda and beyond.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with our mission and fundraising goals
• Manage and grow our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and others) with high-quality, mission-driven content
• Create compelling content: posts, stories, reels, email newsletters, website updates, and campaign materials
• Run and optimise digital fundraising campaigns and donation appeals
• Build and nurture our online community and supporter base
• Collaborate with the team to share impact stories from the field
• Track performance metrics and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations
• Stay up to date with digital trends relevant to the charity and non-profit sector

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in digital marketing (ideally in the charity, non-profit, or social impact sector)
• Strong content creation skills (writing, basic design/video editing)
• Hands-on experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns
• Understanding of email marketing, basic SEO, Google Analytics, and digital fundraising tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Creative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
• Passion for children’s rights, disability inclusion, and community development in Uganda (or similar contexts)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team

Desirable

• Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, or similar tools
• Knowledge of the Ugandan or East African context
• Photography/videography skills
• Experience in remote or international team settings
