We are seeking a new Trustee with expertise in IT, digital and technology to join the Board of Prospect Hospice.
Our hospice provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illness and their families. As healthcare and society become increasingly digital, technology now plays a critical role in how people find support, access care, and stay connected with services when they need them most.
Hospices increasingly rely on digital systems for clinical records, referrals, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and partnerships with NHS services. Strong board-level digital insight helps ensure these systems are safe, inclusive, secure and aligned with the hospice’s mission.
The Role

Context:

E-Commerce Lister
We need volunteers to help us get our one-of-a-kind products online to find the right buyer. We need you to edit photos and describe items about our products to help them sell. This role includes computer work, which would be brilliant for anyone with an interest or experience in that. If you’re looking to gain new skills, this is a great way to learn.
Packing Pro
Once our items have sold, we need to wrap and box them up to send to our customers. We have all the materials, we just need help keeping on top of the orders. You will help ensure our customers receive their dream items in one piece!

The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children.

Scope and Span
The E-Commerce Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the online sales function of the Baby Bank, ensuring that high-quality donated items are identified, prepared, listed, and sold effectively to generate fundraising income.
This role manages E-Commerce Volunteers and ensures that listings are accurate, professional, and aligned with brand standards. The Team Lead also monitors performance, pricing strategy, and workflow efficiency.

As an E-commerce volunteer, you’ll help bring our shop online by selecting, preparing and listing items for sale on our digital platform.You’ll play a key role in turning donated goods into vital funds while keeping our online shop running smoothly.
Location: 244 – 246 High Street West, Sunderland
Suggested contribution: It’s up to you! We have volunteers who support for one hour a week and others who volunteer more. Many people volunteer for a morning or an afternoon each week, but we’ll have a chat about your availability after you’ve applied.
