Are you a storyteller at heart? Someone who can turn mission into movement, ideas into impact, and community into connection? SUNSHINE — a bold, start‑up grassroots loneliness charity in London — is searching for a creative, strategic and passionate volunteer to become our Head of Communications.

Your Mission: Create, Shape and Lead Our Communications Strategy
This is a rare opportunity to build SUNSHINE’s entire communications function from the ground up.
You will:
Create and lead SUNSHINE’s communications and brand strategy.
Develop our tone of voice, messaging and visual identity.
Manage and grow our social media presence.
Craft compelling content for newsletters, campaigns, website and press.
Build awareness of our programmes, impact and mission.
Support volunteer recruitment and fundraising through powerful storytelling.

The Lyonic Scots Clan Society is a modern Scottish cultural organisation inspired by the legacy of Robert “The Lyon” and the survivors of Culloden. We celebrate Scottish heritage, Highland identity, and the enduring values of courage, kinship, and belonging.
As our Society expands across the UK and internationally, we are seeking a Head of Marketing & Communications — a strategic volunteer role responsible for shaping the public voice, brand, and storytelling of the Lyonic Scots.
This is a role for someone who loves communication, culture, and crafting a compelling narrative.
About the Role
The Head of Marketing & Communications will lead the Society’s external messaging, brand identity, and promotional activity. You will ensure that everything we publish — from social media posts to heritage campaigns — reflects the dignity, symbolism, and cultural depth of the Lyonic Scots.
You will work closely with the Chair, Secretary, Head of Volunteering, and wider Council to build a strong, consistent, and inspiring public presence.
This role is remote‑friendly, but you must be UK‑based for coordination and event support.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the Society’s marketing and communications strategy
Lead on social media content, scheduling, and community engagement
Oversee branding, tone of voice, and visual identity across all platforms
Support recruitment campaigns for volunteers and members
Produce promotional materials for events, heritage projects, and announcements
Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and Council members
Ensure all communications reflect the Society’s values, heritage, and cultural mission

Basis Yorkshire is seeking a committed and values-driven individual to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer. This is an opportunity to support a long-standing, specialist organisation working alongside sex workers and people experiencing sexual exploitation across Yorkshire.
Basis has over three decades of experience delivering trauma-informed, non-judgemental support, advocacy, outreach and education. We work with people across all sectors of the sex industry, as well as young people and adults at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation. Our approach is rooted in dignity, agency, social justice and harm reduction, with the voices and experiences of the people we support at the centre of everything we do.
As Treasurer Trustee, you will play a key role in supporting the Board’s oversight of the charity’s financial health, sustainability and governance. While professional financial qualifications are not required, we are looking for someone who is confident in scrutinising financial information, asking constructive questions, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
We are particularly interested in individuals who share our commitment to challenging stigma and inequality, and who can bring thoughtful, independent judgment to Board discussions. Previous experience in the voluntary or community sector, safeguarding, or connections to strategic networks in Leeds would be welcomed.
Trustees are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings, contribute to working groups where possible, and engage with role-specific matters between meetings. An enhanced DBS check will be required and arranged by Basis.
