We want to be recognised as a collaborative support service that truly transforms lives. To help make that happen, we’re looking for a passionate team of fundraisers to work alongside one another, supporting the Creative Director, each contributing in different ways to support the organisation’s sustainability and impact.

The Social Fundraiser supports the online and digital side of fundraising, helping promote our fundraising platforms and campaigns. This includes JustGiving, EasyFundraising, and future initiatives such as a fundraising Vinted page. You will also help us to inspire supporters through engaging social content that shares our mission, stories and fundraising activities.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys social media, digital storytelling, and helping causes reach wider audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote fundraising platforms such as JustGiving and EasyFundraising

• Support the launch and promotion of new fundraising initiatives (e.g. Vinted)

• Help create and share simple, engaging fundraising content

• Support social media activity linked to fundraising campaigns

• Encourage community engagement and online donations

Treasurer/Trustee – Board of Management and Chair of the Audit and Risk Sub-Committee
Terms: Voluntary. ICNARC’s Trustees will serve a three-year term to be eligible for re-appointment.
Remuneration: The role of Treasurer/Trustee is voluntary. Expenses for travel and subsistence may be claimed.
Location: Trustees can be located anywhere, with travel to London for some meetings. ICNARC is located at Napier House, 24 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6AZ.

About the Role

The Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC) has an outstanding national and international reputation for clinical audit and clinical and health services research. The organisation is run by a Board of Management comprising the Senior Leadership Team (the SLT, led by the Co-Directors) and Trustees who are a group of volunteers with substantial experience and interest in critical care, clinical research and management.

We are now looking to recruit a Treasurer/Trustee to join our Board. The Treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, charity commission and company requirements. This post holder will chair the Audit and Risk Sub-Committee (ARSC) and will report regularly to the Board on the financial position of the organisation and ensure that effective measures, controls and procedures are in place.

Responsibilities of all Trustees:

Trustees are responsible for directing the affairs of ICNARC via the Board of Management, ensuring that the strategic direction of the organisation is in line with the Mission, and assuring themselves that the governance of the organisation is sound, and ICNARC is efficient and well-run in accordance with its stated values.

Principal responsibilities of the Treasurer:

• Overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts, financial statements and financial reports to the Board of Management alongside the Chief Operating Officer and Financial Controller
• Being assured that the financial resources of the organisation meet its present and future needs and are within the charities objects.
• Supporting the Chief Operating Officer in the development and implementation of appropriate financial, reserves and investment policies
• Providing guidance to the Chief Operating Officer to ensure compliance with the requirements of Company Law

Time commitment

The Board of Management meets four times a year and is supplemented by a range of sub-committees which enable the Board to carry out its role of developing the strategy of the organisation, ensuring its sound governance, and holding the SLT to account for delivery of its agreed policies and goals in accordance with its stated values. In addition to the formal governance structure. These sub-committees, including the ARSC, also meet quarterly in advance of the Board meetings.  Trustees are expected to provide advice and support to the SLT in accordance with their professional background as required.

Donor Relations:

• Support with Donor Communications in activities related to donor relationship management and stewardship.

About the Service

Solace is a registered charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The organisation is governed by a Board of Trustees, which is made up of up to 12 members from across a range of professional and life experiences.

Solace is seeking trustees to join our Board to fulfil their responsibilities in developing the strategic direction and overall governance of the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the success of a growing charity that makes a profound and positive impact on the lives of women who have suffered from violence and abuse.

About the Role

A successful candidate would have a good understanding of current accounting standards in the UK charities sector and be able to guide the organisation through compliance and regulatory matters both now and in the future.   

This would include:

• Review financial statements (income, expenses, reserves, cash flow) as presented by the Solace Finance Director + CEO. Ensure successful audits are delivered on an annual basis in line with Companies House and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor financial statements for financial health and going concern status in the near term. Monitor financials to ensure the charity is financially viable in the longer term. 
• Ensure adequate financial controls are in place for Solace in coordination with the Finance Director + team
• Management of risk and risk oversight: identify financials risks (funding gaps, cash flow deficiencies, under-diversified funding, fraud) and support on mitigating actions. Ensure Charities Commission updates are completed and documented as needed.
• Have oversight of Solace’s Reserves as well as Reserves ambitions over the longer term. 
• Help the Board understand the financial information and position of the charity including audit results, budget implications, annual reporting sign off. 
• Ensure the charity’s funds are deployed in line with Solace’s overall purpose and strategy.

About the Location

We have two forms of meetings that trustees are expected to attend at our London head office; Board Meetings, which occur 4 times a year and Board Away Days which can take place up to two times annually. All trustees also need to be a part of a subcommittee, which are held online quarterly.

About the Time Committment

Trustees will need to attend 4 in person board meetings per year. Each trustee is expected to join at least one subcommittee, with meetings held remotely 4 times per year. The expected time commitment for trustees averages one day per month across the year.

This volunteer will assess the teaching quality of Roots Essentials courses, providing feedback and recommendations to support continuous improvement. The role supports the team’s goal of maintaining high educational standards and providing an enriching learning experience for university students.

Key tasks

▪ Observation and Assessment: Observe classes (in-person or virtually) and assess the teaching quality, content delivery, and student engagement based on established criteria.

▪ Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods, course materials, and assessments used in delivering the Roots Essentials Curriculum.

▪ Feedback and Reporting: Provide constructive feedback to instructors on teaching quality and suggest areas for improvement.

▪ Quality Assurance: Ensure that the curriculum is being delivered in a manner that aligns with the programme’s educational objectives and Islamic principles.

▪ Collaboration: Work closely with the Education Vice-Lead and Academic team to support the professional development of instructors.

▪ Documentation: Prepare reports summarizing observations, evaluations, and recommendations for enhancing the educational experience.

▪ Training Contribution: Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials or workshops for instructors to improve teaching practices.

What we’re looking for

▪ A background in Islamic studies, education, or a related field, with a good understanding of foundational Islamic knowledge.

▪ Previous experience in teaching, assessing, or quality assurance in an educational setting, preferably within Islamic education.

Role Summary.

As a QA Reviewer at Roots Academy, you'll work closely with Regional Leads and the QA team to help maintain and raise the quality of teaching across our programmes. Your role is to support our instructors by regularly observing lessons, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging their continued growth and development.

Your input will help ensure that students benefit from lessons that are clear, engaging, and rooted in sound educational practice.

Key tasks

· Observe lessons via site visits or submitted video recordings throughout the semester.

· Use standardised forms to assess lesson quality and highlight key strengths and areas that could be improved.

· Offer honest and practical feedback, using real examples to guide instructors toward better practice.

· Work alongside Regional Leads to deliver feedback at set points in the semester and support instructor development conversations.

· Attend feedback meetings and take notes to track progress and follow-up actions.

· Recommend helpful activities for instructors, such as shadowing experienced colleagues, team teaching, or reviewing their own lessons.

· Keep track of instructors needing additional support by scheduling follow-up visits or reviewing new lesson recordings.

· Make sure feedback is received, understood, and followed up with clear next steps.

· Raise any serious concerns or ongoing issues with the Regional Lead or relevant team members.

What we’re looking for

· Background in teaching, mentoring, or classroom observation.

· A supportive but honest approach to giving feedback.

· Good understanding of what makes a lesson effective and engaging.

· Confident communicator with good organisation skills.

Crisis of Faith: 1 in 4 young Muslims are leaving the religion due to various factors, primarily the pervasive anti-religious content and temptations they encounter online and offline. 

Roots Academy exists to bridge this gap by providing a structured and transformative Islamic education that speaks directly to the needs and challenges of young Muslims today, delivered in an engaging and accessible form that removes barriers to access and provokes thought and action.

Role Summary

The People Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day administration of the People & Culture function, ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate record-keeping, and a positive volunteer experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining organized people operations while also supporting volunteer engagement and appreciation initiatives.

Key tasks

• Coordinate and schedule onboarding sessions in collaboration with the People Lead
• Maintain accurate records by tracking volunteer training completion and participation
• Upload, organize, and manage personnel documentation within Roots’ Google Drive in accordance with confidentiality and data-handling standards
• Support volunteer engagement by planning and organizing logistics for volunteer appreciation events
• Assist with coordination, communication, and follow-up related to recognition initiatives

United Nations CSO, Centre for Big Synergy, seeks a Partnerships Advisor/Lead to lead strategic partnerships for various educational and creative programs including the World's biggest sustainability film festival and awards.

Big Syn Institute (BSI) is a part of the Centre for Big Synergy and has been organising the Big Syn International Film Festival (BSIFF) since 2019.

The partnerships lead will work closely with senior leadership to identify and engage in commercial and strategic relationships with key partners, both online and offline, for the activities of BSI, London for various creative projects it runs including the World's Biggest sustainability film fest & awards.

Since 2019, the Big Syn Institute has hosted the festival has reached over 50M people and in over 120 countries. Through relevant shorts, features, animations, documentaries, CSR videos and Public Service Videos, Charity films, the festival advocates the United Nations 17 Global Goals and also celebrates the work of UK's marginalised filmmakers. 

OSCAR, BAFTA and EMMY award-winners, as well as other luminaries from film and media, sustainability, and policy have been part of the festival and have supported it since inception. Winners from the festival have eventually won OSCARS and EMMY awards

We are looking for a motivated networker with a can-do attitude who enjoys networking and establishing relationships. The partnerships manager, working closely with our team must be able to:

• Identify, cultivate, and secure high‑value funders, corporate patrons, and philanthropic partners.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of investors, donors, and strategic collaborators.
• Develop compelling partnership propositions, sponsorship decks, and investment narratives tailored to each stakeholder.
• Lead negotiations and close partnership agreements that advance the institute’s creative, cultural, and educational objectives.
• Work closely with executive leadership to align partnership strategy with the institute’s mission and long‑term vision.
  • Collaborate with programming, marketing, legal, and finance teams to deliver high‑impact partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends, funding landscapes, and corporate CSR priorities to anticipate new opportunities.
• Take ownership as one of most important people associated with the BSI's activities, festivals and awards
• Think strategically to identify and establish new partnerships whilst exploring new engagements with the existing partner network
• Communicate with a very high professional standard with the leadership of partner organisations, some being the biggest corporations in their sector
• Maintain a database with existing and new partnerships and updates on progress made
• Explore ideas, both in house, and with potential and new partners, to come up with creative ideas of collaboration to further common goals
