Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is a survivor-led organisation building a platform for truth-telling, accountability, and community healing. Our work centres the voices of people who have been ignored, silenced, or left behind by existing systems.
We are developing a podcast and documentary storytelling platform that seeks to give space to real human experiences — particularly stories connected to childhood trauma, survival, resilience, and social neglect.
We are seeking a Volunteer Documentary Videographer to accompany the founder one Saturday per month in and around London to record conversations with members of the public — particularly those who are homeless or facing hardship — who wish to share their stories.
This is not a conventional videography role.
This is ethical storytelling and community witnessing.
 
About the Role
As Documentary Videographer, you will accompany the founder on monthly field recording days across London to capture authentic, respectful interviews and conversations with people willing to speak about their lived experiences.
These stories will contribute to:
• The organisation’s podcast
• Documentary storytelling projects
• Survivor awareness work
• Educational and advocacy media
Your role is to capture these stories sensitively, respectfully, and responsibly, ensuring participants are treated with dignity and consent.
This is not sensationalist media.
This is truth-telling and human storytelling.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Accompany the founder on one Saturday per month across London to record interviews and conversations.
• Film interviews with members of the public who choose to share their stories.
• Capture high-quality audio and video suitable for podcast and documentary use.
• Ensure participants understand they are being recorded and give informed consent.
• Maintain respectful and trauma-aware communication with vulnerable individuals.
• Assist with framing, lighting, and location setup during recordings.
• Work alongside the podcast production team to organise footage.
• Share recorded media securely with the editing team.
• Help ensure stories are captured ethically and responsibly.
• Follow safeguarding and ethical storytelling guidelines.
• Represent the organisation professionally during public engagement.

 
What This Role Requires
Experience or developing competence in:
• Videography
• Documentary filming
• Interview-style filming
• Basic audio capture
Ability to film in public, outdoor environments.
Comfort speaking with people from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.
Sensitivity when hearing difficult or traumatic stories.
Reliability and commitment to the monthly recording schedule.
Ability to work respectfully in unpredictable real-world environments.
Willingness to follow safeguarding, ethical storytelling, and consent procedures.
Preferred equipment:
Applicants should ideally have access to a small portable filming setup suitable for street interviews, such as:
• Mirrorless camera or equivalent capable of recording high-quality video
• Wireless lavalier microphone system (two microphones preferred)
• Lightweight tripod or stabiliser
• Basic portable lighting (optional)
• Spare batteries and memory cards
Equivalent setups, including high-quality smartphone filming with professional microphones, will also be considered.
 
Formal qualifications are not required. Equivalent experience or demonstrable ability is acceptable.

To help keep our soical media pages active with short, clear posts, We will provide most of the content - photos, updtaes and messages and you'll upload them in a friendly, consistant way. You wont need to design graphics, plan campaigns, or analyse data. The role is simple, practical and flexible . Communication is straightforward, and you can contribute whenever you have the time. 

You should be reliable, friendly, and comfortable using soical media, able to follow simple guidance, and happy to post shot updates. A positive attitude to detail are all helpful

We are currently looking for Welcome and Reception Volunteers to join our supportive team in Crisis Skylight London. Shifts are available on Mondays 9.30 - 1pm and Mondays 1 - 4.30pm. Same time each week for a minimum of six months. More shifts may become available. 

Shortlisting will take place w/c 16th March and in-person interviews will be on Tuesday 24th March 2026.

How will I be ending homelessness?

As a Welcome and Reception Volunteer you will be the first point of contact for many people who need to access our services. This contact may set the tone for our relationship with that individual and whether they choose to get the help we can offer, so the warm, non-judgemental, and informative welcome you create could set them on the journey to ending their homelessness.

What will I be doing?

Tasks you will support the team with include:

• Welcome
  • Welcoming visitors to the Skylight and ensuring they sign in and out
  • Signposting to reception and information areas
  • Directing members to activities within the Skylight and encouraging engagement
  • Chat to members while they are waiting and offer and provide refreshments
  • Ensuring information stands are well stocked and up to date
  • Supporting with filling in of basic forms
  • Carrying out building tours where required and/or showing members to their classes/appointments
• Reception
  • Responding to and making telephone calls
  • Checking members in and out on our MAPS (members records) database
  • Notifying Lead Workers that members have arrived for their appointments
  • Supporting with any front of house administration tasks including supporting Engagement and Assessment Officers with tasks such as sending out travel passes and conducting research when required

 To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who:

• Is an excellent communicator, confident in building relationships and creating welcoming, compassionate environments, and able to recognise conflict and remain calm in challenging situations. 
• You should be confident interacting with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds, including those with English as a second language

Havering Young People’s Mentoring Service provides support, advice and guidance to young people aged 10-18, encouraging them to make positive choices and achieve their goals.

Mentors are matched with a young person and meet with them on a weekly basis, for a period of up to 6 months. During this time, a strong relationship is built through a variety of activities and trips, including a monthly group meeting with other volunteers and young people engaged in the Service.

In order to become a mentor, potential volunteers will be required to attend a two day training programme before being accepted onto the programme. Volunteers will need to be over 18 years old and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check plus provide references.

This role includes:

• Attending an initial matching meeting with a young person
• Committing to 6 months of mentoring with a young person
• Meeting a young person once a week for around 2 hours
• Providing brief recording following meetings to the Volunteer Team
• Working with a young person to review their goals and plan for mentoring
• Accompanying a young person to monthly group meetings
• Acting in the best interests of a young person

Skills and experience required::

• Confident and able to communicate well with young people from a range of different backgrounds
• Can engage with staff and partners to promote the aims and quality of the Early Help Service, and comply with relevant policies and procedures
• Commitment to act in the best interests of young people and comply with jointly-agreed plans
• Experience of working with children or young people, in any capacity
• Willing to undertake training where necessary
• Enthusiasm and commitment towards child development and keeping children safe

Please note that you must be based in the UK to undertake this role.

The Training Officer ensures volunteers receive engaging, high-quality training to prepare them for events. You’ll organise sessions, secure tutors and spaces, encourage attendance, and gather feedback to improve future training. This role is vital for volunteer development and maintaining Make a Smile’s professional standards.

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career development professional to gain practical experience in operations and administration while supporting impactful community and conservation programmes in southeast Madagascar. Based in the coastal town of Fort Dauphin, the Junior Operations and Support Officer will play an important role in supporting the systems and processes that enable SEED Madagascar’s projects to run effectively.

SEED Madagascar is a UK registered charity dedicated to creating long-term, sustainable change in partnership with communities in the southeast of Madagascar. Our programmes integrate community health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, rural livelihoods and environmental conservation initiatives, while contributing to international best practice through research and publications.

Working within a collaborative team of national and international staff, the Junior Operations and Support Officer will contribute to the day-to-day operations that underpin SEED’s work. This office-based role provides a wide range of responsibilities, offering valuable experience across administration, organisational systems and programme support. The role will also involve occasional interaction with SEED’s Conservation Research Team in the field, providing orientations and pastoral care to the volunteers on their programme.

The position sits at the heart of SEED’s operations and offers broad exposure to the practical realities of working within an international development organisation. The successful candidate will support organisational policies and procedures, assist with the recruitment of international staff and volunteers, coordinate onboarding processes for new team members, and contribute to the management and promotion of SEED’s short-term conservation volunteer programme.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and motivated to support a diverse team. It offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is interested in building skills in operations, administration and organisational support within the international development sector, while contributing to programmes that support both communities and ecosystems in Madagascar.

Title: Junior Operations and Support Officer

Location: Fort Dauphin, Madagascar

Commitment: 12 months; Monday to Friday (35 hours a week)

Salary: Voluntary for 12 months, with stipend of 800,000 MGA per month towards accommodation and a contribution of £650 towards insurance

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide pre-departure logistical support and advice with visas, hotels, flights, accommodation, medication etc to new international staff and short-term conservation volunteers

2. Lead on supporting international staff during their initial time with SEED including arrival, orientation, social inclusion, cultural understanding, housing and integration into the SEED team. 

3. Provide pastoral care, working with line managers to ensure that new and existing international staff and volunteers’ wellbeing is supported. 

4. Support the Conservation team in Sainte Luce on providing orientations and pastoral care of volunteers when required

5. Support the Communications team with advertising the volunteer programme and helping volunteers to increase their fundraising efforts

6. Support on the recruitment of international staff, including the advertisement of vacancies

7. Assist in the preparation of reports for internal and external audiences including Annual Reports and Malagasy Ministry reports

8. Work with the Director of Operations and Programmes, and the International Operations Manager in developing, updating and implementing organisational databases, systems, policies and procedures across the NGO

9. Oversee the training schedule for international staff and work alongside national and 

10. International staff to increase their skills and capacity, providing mentoring or training where appropriate

11. Support with the writing of minutes and note taking across the organisation

12. Ensure all of SEED’s policies and procedures are evident throughout the work of the department, including those for safeguarding, whistleblowing and anti-corruption, and undertake continual training to ensure these are always promoted

13. Assist with administration tasks and any other tasks required by the International Operations Manager or Director of Programmes and Operations in line with the tasks of the post

Required Skills & Experience/Person Specification 

• Hold an undergraduate degree in or relating to Development or be able to demonstrate a passion for this area

• Be able to work independently and be proactively

• Have good all round computing skills and experience in Microsoft Office 

• Have previous experience working to deadlines and have ability to successfully manage their time

• Communicate clearly and engagingly in written English across a range of media forms

• Communicate verbally to encompass the range of cultures you will be working with

• To have a good level of written English and be able to proofread documents to a high standard

• To have a curious mind and a patient, problem solving attitude

• Ideally have previous experience living, working or travelling in a developing country, though is not essential

• Be fluent in English. A working knowledge of French is desirable but not essential

• Be capable and comfortable adapting to life in a least developed country with sometimes basic living conditions

• Be comfortable with campsite conditions whilst supporting the team in the field for days at a time

• Be able to work and socialise within a small group of people and to be respectful and take personal responsibility for maintaining a good reputation for the NGO in the community

• Be able to adjust to life in another culture and a foreign language and be able to always work with cultural sensitivity

• Demonstrate the ability, social skills and confidence to give clear guidance and support to other members of the team in respect of the philosophy and procedures of SEED to protect both their safety and the reputation of the NGO.
