Could you help shape Mind in Kingston’s future and support more people with mental health needs?

We’re a passionate, independent local charity working across the Royal Borough of Kingston, affiliated with national Mind. Our vision? A world where everyone experiencing a mental health problem receives the support and respect they deserve — and we won’t stop until that happens.

We’re now looking for new Trustees to help lead us forward. We’re looking for people who can:

•  Think strategically and creatively
•  Lead the organisation towards fully achieving its commitment and ambition
•  Scrutinise the impact we’re having
•  Communicate clearly and sensitively in large group discussions
•  Use independent judgement to make decisions on behalf of the organisation
•  Be committed to our mission, vision and values.

Role Highlights:

•  Time Commitment: 4–8 hours per month (meetings held online)
•  Voluntary role with expenses paid
•  Trustees receive: Induction, training, expenses, and skill-building opportunities.

Do you have a few hours spare a week and would you like to get involved at Epilepsy Society by helping in the on site Phoenix Café?  Then we would love to hear from you!

Our volunteers are a friendly group who have all joined for many different reasons, friendships have formed, new skills learnt, and you will be making a real difference.

We really value all of our volunteers and are so grateful for the time they give to helping people living with epilepsy. If you are interested in joining the Phoenix Heroes volunteering family, then please pop in for a chat or email for more information.

We are a small and friendly team of Trustees who are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us and become a Trustee for our wonderful charity, Wiltshire Portage. Wiltshire Portage supports families who have children aged birth to school entry with additional needs, empowering parents and carers to help their children to reach their full potential as they transition into school and beyond.

There has been a rise in the number of children who have additional needs over the past few years and research has shown that early intervention is vital in helping these children to develop. At Wiltshire Portage, we have a team of experienced Home Visitors who regularly visit families who have young children with additional needs. During visits, Home Visitors identify areas of support that are needed and deliver child-led learning activities through play. Having a child with additional needs can be challenging and Home Visitors are also able to support parents and carers; providing information and sign posting them to organisations who can help.

As a charity, Wiltshire Portage relies on a team of Trustees to work with the CEO in the running of the charity. Trustees are asked to attend a meeting (this is currently carried out virtually) once every two months in the evening. Training wil be given to first time Trustees and we welcome applicants from a diverse background of knoweldge.

We’re looking for energetic, reliable and upbeat volunteers to join our busy warehouse team at Montrose Avenue on the Slough Trading Estate. If you’re available on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be part of a brilliant, hard-working team that sorts and weighs donated food, keeps the warehouse running smoothly, and has plenty of laughs (and the odd coffee breaks) along the way.

If you can give your time, we’ll give you full training, great support, and the chance to make a genuine difference to local people in Slough in crisis.
