An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Medair UK team as we are seeking a part-time Operations Support Officer. The post holder will be responsible for Medair UK’s financial and office administration, including maintenance of the organisation’s CRM database and some fundraising support. You will ensure the accurate processing and timely delivery of donor and financial information and acting as first point of contact for the organisation, you will be responding to supporter enquiries. You will also provide general office, and IT support to the Head of Operations.

This year our teams in Sudan have remained operational, working under the most difficult conditions, and launched a new response in Chad to support those fleeing across the borders. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we received global coverage as one of the first responders saving the lives of communities affected by Mpox – and no lives were lost amongst those we treated. We also scaled up in Lebanon supporting at displaced communities affected by the conflict. In 2024 through our experienced national and international teams we helped 3,743,021 people across 13 countries.
About you
You will have experience of working in an office administration role, including financial processing and have proven experience with databases. You will be comfortable working with and prioritising high volumes of work. In addition to your experience of completing routine, complex tasks accurately and systematically, you will be able to maintain quality and attention to detail. Confident, polite and professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, you will have strong planning and organisational skills, with experience of maintaining office and administrative systems
Key Activities
Donation Processing
- Responsible for the timely recording and processing of all incoming donations (including via our website, bank account, third party platforms and cheques) into the Medair UK CRM (Salesforce).
- Ensure all donors receive gift acknowledgements / thank you letters corresponding to each gift received.
- Maintain up-to-date records of donors, staff and other contacts in the Medair UK database.
- Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations and support in the regular reclaim of Gift Aid.
Financial Administration
- Inputting of all financial data (income and expenditure) into Quick Books.
- Preparing and following up suppliers invoices for payment.
- Processing expenses claims.
- Managing the banking of income and supporter cheques.
- Support the Head of Operations to implement the month and year end reconciliation process for both Salesforce and Quick Books.
Facilities & Office Management
- Act as first point of contact for the office and public enquiries, responding to incoming telephone calls and emails.
- Answer basic enquiries about Medair's work and distributing information to supporters and others as required.
- Manage and order office supplies, stationery and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, administrating risk assessments, H&S and fire safety procedures.
Information Technology
- Ensuring the maintenance of the IT system and handling minor in-house IT technical issues for staff and volunteers.
- Liaising with the Global Support Office IT Helpdesk team to ensure the timely set up of IT for new staff and volunteers – i.e. setting up email addresses, and relevant permissions.
- Ensuring that IT permissions are current, and that these are amended as and when staff and volunteers leave.
- Assisting with continuous improvements in Medair UK’s use of IT.
Engagement Support
- Supporting fundraising activities with data segmentation and the production of standard and custom reports in Salesforce
- Supporting the production and automation of email newsletter and appeals via Campaign Monitor
- Setting up new Salesforce campaigns with tailored reports and dashboards to track donations.
- Producing digital surveys and web-forms as required.
- Providing support to Medair’s virtual events, including the technical administration of Zoom and pre and post event attendee administration.
HR Administration
- Organising and co-ordinating staff and volunteer inductions ensuring that the induction checklist is completed.
- Supporting the Head of Operations with team training and organisational learning and development opportunities.
Qualifications - DESIRABLE
- Vocational qualification in business or financial management / administration desirable
Languages
- Excellent English (spoken and written).
Experience / Competencies – ESSENTIAL
- Experience of office administration / financial administration
- Experience of Microsoft Office solutions, including Excel and Word; Internet and email proficient
- Experience of fundraising or other database(s), ideally Salesforce and Campaign Monitor
- Experience of finance packages

Overview of the role
As the organisation’s Head of Finance and Data, you will be an experienced, and trusted professional, who can bring strong financial and data disciplines to the organisation.
Working closely with our new CEO and committed trustees and staff, you will develop and implement The Mix’s financial and data strategies that are aligned to our vision to expand the reach of our crucial support of young people in Suffolk.
You will have a thorough understanding of financial accounting and planning relevant to the charity and social-enterprise sectors, with a strong attention to detail.
You will be passionate about the use of financial and non-financial data to inform business decisions and be an effective analyst and communicator of business performance.

Main Responsibilities
1. Financial leadership
· Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and practices.

Our Active Travel Hubs in the Tees Valley provide helpful services and interventions to make walking and cycling the natural choice for shorter journeys in the Tees Valley. The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:
· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager
The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.
The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail professional to bring an entrepreneurial vision and shape this area of income for the charity. You will be responsible for managing their current commercial businesses and seeking out new, exciting commercial opportunities to support annual profit growth. The successful candidate will have retail sector management and development at a senior level, alongside experience of e-commerce, multi-site management and strategic planning and development. SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis because of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. We also campaign for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.
Our Nest Project brings advice and improved awareness and knowledge to migrant families with young children, through community settings in Lambeth and Southwark. The project aims to reach families with the information and advice they need in order to resolve their status before they fall into crisis, and allow them to live safely and access opportunities.
The Nest Project Coordinator will lead on developing partnerships with and providing training to staff and volunteers in community settings as well as providing immigration advice and casework.

- Experience of providing immigration advice and casework support to migrant individuals who have complex needs, working sensitively and effectively within community settings.

About the role
This role is key to turning data into insight that drives strategic decisions and deepens supporter relationships. Collaborating across fundraising, digital, and service teams, you’ll proactively identify opportunities, shape analysis, and influence decision-making.

Carers' Resource is a well-established Yorkshire charity that provides tailored information and support to carers, individuals in need of care, and the professionals who support them. We empower individuals to maintain their independence and make choices that improve their lives.
Role Overview:
You will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and wellbeing of carers in the Harrogate & Selby Districts, promoting key health messages to carers through a variety of mediums including one to one, group settings and social media. You will facilitate sessions focussed on supporting carers to access resources to maintain their own health and wellbeing and enable them to sustain their caring role, as well as providing some personalised support to individual carers conducting wellbeing reviews to identify required actions. You will liaise and collaborate with key health and social care professionals and other organisations to deliver the service, and advocate on behalf of unpaid carers. Your work aligns with local safeguarding procedures, promoting wellbeing and positive change for carers and national health messaging.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with unpaid carers and an understanding of the challenges they face in looking after their own health and wellbeing.
- Previous experience providing individual and group support to adults.
- Ability to communicate key health messages through different mediums
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with carers on a personal level and collaborate as a team member.
- Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs and demands of the role.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of carers.
- Competent user of IT, email, Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel around Harrogate and Selby district.

To support the delivery of the new strategy and its respective programme of works, we are now seeking a new role of Head of Project and Strategic Planning to play a central role in shaping how we deliver our priorities across the organisation, supporting the leadership team, directors and strategic project leads in the delivery of our objectives, and ensuring there is effective management and oversight of projects and programmes which facilitates sound decision making and governance principles.
To support a significant CRM implementation programme, the programme has incorporated some formal governance structures and processes to support effective change management and decision making. This role will therefore be responsible for developing, embedding, and leading a fit for purpose and effective Project Management Office (PMO), shaping delivery practices, building project management capability, and improve organisational alignment and performance in a way that supports dynamic cross-organisational decision making and innovation. As this is a new position, and will result in changes to our ways of working, the Head of Project and Strategic Planning will also be required to play a leading role in supporting and enabling organisational change, ensuring there is a clear understanding of change impacts associated with projects and programmes, strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are applied, and clear transparent communication of the roadmap, including risks and benefits, is shared to bring people on the journey and enable us to embed best practice methodology.

We are searching for a Peer Mentor Facilitator to join our mental health services. The role of the peer mentor facilitator will be to help with the smooth running of the Mind BLMK mentoring service and act as a mentor to service users. The ideal candidate will understand the recovery journey through a goal setting approach to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Our peer support services are a key element of our provisions, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the use of volunteer peer mentors across Bedfordshire, in line with Mind BLMK’s peer support model, operational policies and procedures (assessments, Mentor/Mentee introductions, goal setting, reviews).
- Facilitate initial Mentor / Mentee introductions, identify set goals for the relationship and ensure regular reviews are held.
- Work closely with the Peer Support Services Manager to recruit volunteer peer mentors to meet contract requirements and provide the infrastructure they need to deliver this support safely and confidently.
- Maintain an effective volunteer peer mentor workforce assisted by the Peer Support Services Manager for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures and guidance (recruitment, workload coordination, support, training and development of volunteers).
- Ensure that support is given to peer mentors through regular peer group support meetings and one-to-one meetings as appropriate.
- Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
Content creation and content management
- Working with the Senior Communications Manager, research, draft, and edit compelling content for the UK website, newsletters, and print materials.
- Support the reimagining of existing content to ensure messaging is fresh, relevant, and audience-led.
- Collate and maintain a library of case studies, stories, and assets for use across teams.
- Ensure brand voice and tone are consistently applied across all communications.
Digital and organic social media
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar which supports our Communications Strategy and liaise with our Social Media Freelancer to plan and approve posts.
- Contribute to the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to create assets and meet deadlines.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on content performance, identifying opportunities for growth and engagement.
Campaign coordination
- Support the planning and scheduling of communications campaigns like World Smile Day and advertising events like our annual carols concert.

- Act as the first point of contact for all content requests from across the organisation.
Administration and finance
- Collate quotes for expenditure and liaise with suppliers as required.

Monitoring and evaluation
- Gather engagement and performance metrics from all channels.
- Provide regular reports to the Senior Communications Manager.
