What you’ll do
You will develop and deliver high‑quality mental health and wellbeing training, in Welsh and English, to school staff across Wales, including leading the Strategies for Safety and Wellbeing (SSW) programme. You will provide ongoing implementation support to schools, collaborate with colleagues to design evidence‑based learning materials, contribute to Welsh‑language development plans, and deliver training both virtually and in person. Working independently and substantial travel to schools in Wales will be involved (with expenses covered).
What you’ll bring
You will be bilingual (Welsh and English) and demonstrate knowledge of the needs of autistic students and those with social, emotional, or mental health difficulties. The ability to foster safe and supportive learning environments to diverse groups (including education professionals, practitioners and parents/carers and young people) is important for this role.

Salary: £46,789 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead our Training Team on developing and delivering training for all of National Numeracy's programmes.
Our training team is absolutely central to the success of our mission at National Numeracy. In order to reach and support as many adults and children across the UK as possible, we take an online train-the-trainer approach, by training Numeracy Champions and Volunteers in different settings. We do not teach any maths - instead we train Champions to raise awareness of the value of numeracy, supporting others to overcome anxieties, build confidence, and feel better about using and improving basic maths. We do not work with children directly, but train teachers as Numeracy Champions to support children and their families.
This team of two therefore have a busy calendar of training delivery, as well as the admin associated with this and with the work around capturing the impact measurement of our training. We are looking for someone who is not only an excellent and empathetic trainer who can confidently and reliably lead this dynamic activity, but can also work strategically with our Programmes Director to develop our training further, while line managing and developing our Training Officer.
The successful candidate will work closely with the other Programme Managers to ensure smooth and successful delivery of our activity, as well as across our wider team, managing the training budget, and liaising with our External Relations and Operations & Impact teams. This role is important in collecting impact and case studies as there it has regular direct contact with our Champions and our beneficiaries. There will also be opportunities to keep the whole National Numeracy team and our Board of Trustees informed about our training programme.

The Role
In September 2024, National Numeracy launched a new ‘Schools & Families Programme’ to support primary schools to increase pupils’ confidence with numbers, positive feelings about maths, and awareness of the value of maths outside the classroom. The programme also works to improve parents’, carers’ and school staff’s own confidence with numbers and supporting children with their maths. The programme has been hugely successful and is growing rapidly, supporting over 400 schools each year.
National Numeracy are now looking to expand this work into secondary schools across the UK.
The Schools & Families Officer will support the Schools & Families Programme Manager in managing fast-paced activity across the UK, including helping to deliver online training directly to school staff, recruiting schools, and visiting selected schools to ensure the success of the programme. The Schools & Families Officer will also support with the design and delivery of the new programme in secondary schools.

The Churches Conservation Trust is a partner in the Nature in Sacred Places (NISP) National Lottery Heritage Fund project. This is a £5.2m project with an 18-month development phase followed by a four-year delivery phase (subject to securing further funding), in partnership with Natural England, the Church of England, Churches Conservation Trust and Caring for God’s Acre. NISP will build on principles established by the Bats in Churches Project, a previous project supported by the Heritage Fund which worked with faith groups, community volunteers, young people and professionals across three main strands, Broadening engagement, Supporting practical action and Building professional capacity.

As a member of the Nature in Sacred Places project team, the post-holder will be responsible for:

About the role
The Senior Advice Worker – SEND will be the specialist and subject expert in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and kinship care. You’ll provide 1:1 advice directly to kinship carers on all issues that impact on their caring role.
You will often be supporting kinship carers in high crisis. It will be part of your job to calm a situation quickly and support people to communicate what they need so you can provide personalised in-depth advice.
You’ll provide advice by phone, video calls and email, but you’ll also need to be able to respond to text, WhatsApp and online chat and other channels as we develop the service.
You’ll specialise in providing advice and information to enable kinship carers to support children with SEND needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties, social, emotional and mental health challenges, specific learning difficulties, and autism.
This will include advice and casework to support kinship carers to navigate the education system, understand Education, Health and Care Plan processes and access support from schools, children’s services and CAMHS.
As subject expert, you’ll provide expert input to the development of written information and resources and the development and delivery of specialist training for kinship carers.
Key responsibilities include:
Proactively update colleagues across Kinship on relevant updates in the SEND landscape, providing guidance to teams.
Work closely with training colleagues to develop, create and occasionally lead training sessions to support kinship carers to navigate the SEND system.
Essential requirements include:
Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience of delivering in-depth advice work on complex social welfare legal issues (e.g. benefits, housing, education or social care) to members of the public.
Experience of giving both telephone and written advice.
Either significant knowledge of and expertise in the SEND system and SEND-related issues, with the ability to develop expertise in kinship care advice; or, Significant knowledge of and expertise in kinship care advice, with substantial knowledge of SEND-related advice issues and the ability to become an expert in SEND advice for kinship carers.

About the role
The Research Officer supports Kinship in building a strong and coordinated evidence base about kinship families, and ensures our influencing work is grounded in real experience.
The role supports the design, delivery and communication of high-quality research, insights and evaluation that shapes policy, practice and service development. It also supports the coordination and operational delivery of research and practice activity, helping ensure projects, networks and events run effectively and that insights are shared across the organisation and the wider sector.
They will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including Policy, Programmes, Peer Support and Communications. It will ensure that research and insight are gathered and used consistently and that the experiences of kinship carers, particularly those from underserved communities, are central to our work. This role could be hybrid or remote.
Key responsibilities include:
Design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research that improves understanding of kinship families’ needs, experiences and outcomes.
Lead data collection through surveys, interviews, focus groups and desk research.
Carry out analysis using suitable methods to produce accurate and meaningful insight.
Ensure research reflects the diversity of kinship carers, including carers from ethnic minority communities, mixed heritage families, informal kinship carers and carers experiencing additional barriers.
Maintain strong ethical standards and follow GDPR requirements.
Developing and supporting participatory research methods with carers, children and young people.
Support evaluation of Kinship services including peer support, training and digital programmes.
Develop tools and approaches that help gather feedback and evidence of outcomes.
Analyse programme data to highlight trends, gaps and opportunities.
Provide evidence that strengthens Kinship policy positions and external influencing activity.
Contribute data and insight to briefings, consultation responses and reports.
Support opportunities for kinship carers to participate in research in a respectful and inclusive way.
Manage the Kinship Professionals’ Network and the Kinship Care Researchers’ Network, working with the Practice Lead to plan and schedule meetings, coordinate agendas, record and minute meetings and share insights across the organisation.
Support the planning and delivery of research and practice events, from consultations to knowledge exchange events.
Essential requirements include:
Experience completing mixed methods research including design, fieldwork, analysis and reporting.
Experience working in a research, evaluation or insight role in a charity, academic or public sector setting.
Experience producing accessible research outputs for different audiences.
Experience engaging with underrepresented communities and understanding barriers to participation.
Experience of kinship care or social care research in the UK or comparable settings
Excellent project management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience of R or equivalent statistical languages.

We’re looking for an Accreditation & Licensing Advisor to support the review and development of iCatCare’s Cat Friendly accreditation and licensing schemes (Cat Friendly Clinic, Cat Friendly Homing, Easy to Give and Cat Friendly Approved) This role plays a key part in ensuring our programmes are strategically aligned, operationally effective, and deliver measurable impact for cat welfare.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen standards, improve processes, and help ensure our schemes are sustainable, robust, and internationally relevant.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to the review and development of accreditation and licensing schemes, from application through to assessment and renewal
Monitor emerging global standards, legislation, and research relevant to animal welfare accreditation
Conduct competitor and sector analysis to inform scheme development
Support the creation of clear policies, procedures, guidance, and implementation plans
Work with data and digital teams to improve systems, reporting, and efficiency
Coordinate timelines, manage budgets, and identify risks and opportunities
Support stakeholder engagement, including scheme participants, sponsors, and partners

Job Summary for Colorectal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist
In our Services team we aim to deliver clear and accessible support offer for people affected by a bowel cancer diagnosis through a clinically focused ‘front door’ of services. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to deliver a strategy which will extend our reach to bowel cancer patients and establish referral routes from the NHS into our services.
As our Clinical Nurse Specialist you will work on the Charities Ask the Nurse Service alongside other specialist nurses. This is our service for patients to ask questions or concerns about bowel cancer. You will be responsible answering queries from those affected by bowel cancer and managing and developing the service.
You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure Bowel Cancer UK’s clinical focus meets the needs of those affected by bowel cancer and is up to date. You will also provide expert clinical advice, with guidance of the Clinical Lead, across all areas of Bowel Cancer UK - including health professional education, policy, communications and fundraising equipping them with timely health system and clinical information.
