Cavell is the charity supporting the nursing and midwifery family through tough times. We provide grants, advice and a listening ear to Nurses and Midwives who may feel alone and are struggling to cope. We are a small and friendly team committed to ensuring no Nurse or Midwife faces tough times alone.
The Role
To provide efficient and holistic support across Cavell. This role will support various teams across the organisation, with a focus on giving colleagues the support they need to fulfil their roles as well as directly engaging with beneficiaries, nominators, coaching clients and award winners.
The role will provide coordination of the Cavell Star Awards and provide support for fundraising and marketing activities.

Main Responsibilities
Cavell Star Awards Administration:
- Coordinate the processing of Cavell Star Award nominations, from submission to fulfilment.
- Post awards packs for the Cavell Star Awards and ensuring they arrive in a timely manner.
- Communicate with nominators, recipients, and partners to ensure an exceptional experience.
- Maintain accurate nomination records and provide regular reports on activity and outcomes.
- Liaise with suppliers and external partners regarding award materials and distribution.
- Ensure all nomination data is recorded accurately and kept up to date in internal systems.
Fundraising and Marketing Support:
- Support fundraising and marketing campaigns with logistical tasks.

About the Role
You will:
Effectively manage and provide a pro-active, high quality frontline service to male victims of domestic abuse. You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of MARAC and multi-agency partners when required. This role requires a specialist understanding of the barriers faced by male victims of domestic abuse and harmful practices. We particularly welcome applicants who are male, as they are under-represented in the provision of support to domestic abuse victim survivors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk
- Ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children
- Be the lead in crisis situations and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concerns.
- The role will work collaboratively with the Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of the business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.
- Manage a small team, conducting supervision and case reviews to ensure safe practice.
- Carry a caseload, supporting male domestic abuse victim/survivors to increase their safety.
- Develop relationships with partner agencies in this area.
About You:
Ideally, you will have knowledge of migration and asylum routes and the procedures for applying for refugee/asylum status in the UK, legal remedies for domestic abuse victims and have experience of working with housing, homelessness, drug, alcohol, mental health issues and have an understanding of the benefit system.
You will need:
- Experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations, having worked with victims of domestic violence & abuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, legal responsibilities and GDPR & data protection regulations.
- Have strong crisis management skills to support staff dealing with stressful and difficult situations
- Experience of managing a team delivering front line support to victims or domestic abuse or vulnerable people to a high standard

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator is to provide support in ensuring the
local community is kept informed about Matrix and its projects, as well as engaged in
supporting us. We expect you to be creative, enthusiastic about our cause and an effective

Wider Leadership Team and the wider Matrix team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
External Communication
● In collaboration with the CEO, write, edit and coordinate the production and delivery of
all postal and electronic newsletters.
● Plan, prepare and coordinate communication with Matrix donors, supporter Churches
and the wider public.
● Create, plan and schedule posts across all Matrix social media channels.
● Develop original copy for social media platforms, websites, broadcast and printed
advertising materials.
● In collaboration with the Data Coordinator, simplifying complex data into a user-friendly
format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids.
● Ensure Matrix team understand and use the correct branding for internal and external
communications.

About the Role

You'll work closely with witnesses, frontline staff, volunteers and partners to build safe, supportive spaces where people feel empowered to share their ideas, experiences and insights.
- You will design and lead coproduction activities - from workshops to journey mapping, prototyping and collaborative design sessions - ensuring that witness experiences inform strategic and operational decision-making. You'll also support the embedding of service design and innovation principles into practice, helping shape the future of our services.
What You'll Do
- Lead the planning and delivery of coproduction activity across the Witness Service.
- Engage directly with witnesses to gather insights that drive service improvements.
- Produce high-quality outputs such as summaries, learning products, and design artefacts.
- Facilitate workshops, engagement groups and prototype testing sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including digital, data, operations, research and quality.
- Ensure coproduction approaches are accessible, inclusive, trauma-informed and safe.
- Provide expertise in service design tools such as personas, journey maps and blueprints.
- Support the implementation and evaluation of coproduced solutions in live services.
About You:

You will bring:
- Experience developing and applying coproduction or co-design approaches.
- Proven ability to facilitate engagement activities with diverse groups.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

- The ability to produce clear, accessible and impactful written outputs.
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
- Experience of the criminal justice system, working with national charities, or carrying out Equality Impact Assessments is desirable.

The Vacancy
For over 60 years the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has been building a better childhood for all.
We are currently recruiting a Researcher to join our Research & Impact team on a two-year fixed-term contract. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mixed-methods research projects including evidence synthesis, primary research and evaluation studies.
The role will require undertaking core systematic review tasks including screening, data extraction and critical appraisal, and applying agreed review methods consistently across the project. The postholder will produce outputs under the supervision of senior researchers, contribute to funding proposals, and support the participation of those with lived experience in the research.
The post holder will join a team of researchers based across the UK. They will have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of topics that have a direct impact on policy, services and outcomes for children and families.
