About the role:

The Data Insights Analyst will ensure that Advance is able to accurately measure the effectiveness and impact of Advance’s programming and communicate and report on this effectively to both internal stakeholders – including managers and Trustees – and external stakeholders like commissioners and funders. This will involve developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing systems and processes to measure impact and meet stakeholders’ changing needs; training and supporting staff in these systems; preparing and writing reports; championing best practice around monitoring and evaluation; and supporting management as required. This is a role that is focused on handling large data sets and translating the data into a narrative that amplifies the voices of the women we support. Data is essential to the work that we do and you will lead from the front in driving a culture of quality data capture and use

About You: 

 To be successful in this role:

You will bring  good understanding of the Theory of Change (ToC) approach, logical frameworks, MEL plan development and other key MEL approaches/methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative, and ideally including participatory methodologies. You will have sound knowledge  and experience to interpret, analyse and document results from charity Programmes in writing through a variety of publications, including donor reports and guidelines/toolkits in a clear and succinct manner. You will have experience of working with highly sensitive data, and excellent and proven analytical skills working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including advanced skills on excel, and case management systems. Bringing a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managers, plus developing networks and partnerships.

The Finance Systems Analyst is a newly created role which will have responsibility for the efficient running and maintenance of ClientEarth’s finance systems, including Access Focal Point- which has been in use for over five years and Workday Adaptive Planning, a new system for the organisation. This role is required due to the rapid growth of ClientEarth and investment in new systems. You will provide essential support for current finance processes, suggest improvements to those processes to maximise their value and provide input into systems strategy for the finance department into the future.

In this role, you will be managed by Catherine Adams. A finance professional for thirty four years, Catherine has had a career of two halves, first in the corporate sector working for BDO Binder Hamlyn,  Boots UK, Waterstones and Tesco and then in the Charity sector, gaining an MSC in Charity finance from Bayes Business school, working for MSI Reproductive Choices and joining ClientEarth in 2021. As Head of Finance, Planning and Analysis, Catherine manages a team of ten business partners supporting the programme and core staff in their vital mission to use the power of the Law to bring about systematic change to protect the earth. 

Main Duties 

Systems improvement and efficency

• • Supporting the Head of FP&A with the Workday Adaptive modelling and build to enable value added performance review and reporting in line with organisational strategy.

Systems Administration

• • Administrator for Workday Adaptive and Focal Point to include maintenance and regular review of users, user profiles, password management.

Role requirements

• An accounting qualification – part or full or qualified by experience
• Previous experience working in a finance team, able to demonstrate an understanding of financial processes (essential)
• Experience with Access Focal Point and Workday Adaptive or similar finance systems (essential)
• Experience working with and reporting from large databases and an understanding of data structures (essential)

The Performance Analyst plays a key role at Look Ahead, by producing reporting and data analysis which enables the organisation to deliver on its strategic plan of improving the service we deliver to our customers.
You will produce management information from a range of systems using reporting tools such as Business Objects, Excel and SSRS within an Office 365 environment. You will develop Power BI dashboards to visualise data from our data warehouse and other sources. We are developing a self-service reporting culture, and you will provide advice and support to staff throughout the organisation on the tools available.

This is a hybrid working opportunity with two days a week working on-site in central London and the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.

Conduct high level analysis and interpretation of management information for a variety of audiences.
Develop reports and visualisations from our data warehouses using BI tools (Power BI, Business Objects, SSRS) to enable self- service reporting across the business.
Produce performance reports for senior managers and Board members to ensure they understand how Look Ahead is performing against its priorities.
Work with managers throughout the organisation to understand their business priorities and to ensure that they have effective information management systems in place to deliver these.
Ensure that Look Ahead complies with external performance reporting requirements including contractual measures and regulatory returns.
Promote the importance of good data quality including developing DQ exception reporting and conducting audits of KPI data.
Ensure all BI work meets data protection and information governance requirements.

As their Business Transformation Analyst, a summary of your role involves:

This role will report to the Head of Business Transformation and will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company to identify business needs, map and assess processes, and recommend improvements to support transformation projects as well as drive better ways of working. 

You will conduct thorough analysis, gather and document requirements, and support the design and implementation of project solutions that align with their strategic objectives. Your insights and recommendations will be instrumental in shaping their priority transformation projects. 

To be successful in this role you'll bring: 

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a regulated industry, preferably within the housing or real estate.  
- Excellent knowledge of business analysis disciplines, including the ability to map technical processes across systems and process user journeys for all parts of a cross-functional business.  
- Proven experience mapping process to a deep level (Level 5, value-stream) as-is and then making recommendations for improvements. 
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements. 
- High level of proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, particularly in Visio and other MS Office suite tools, especially Excel. Power BI is an advantage.  

Location

The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to their office in Bradford.

They’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as they meet their customer’s needs.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £45,000 for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

About the role

The Digital Optimisation Analyst is instrumental in advancing Christian Aid's digital strategy and supporting colleagues in achieving their ambitious digital, fundraising and supporter engagement goals. Through utilising measurable data and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, the role provides in-depth campaign analyses, performance reports, and a deep dive into users' online activities and behaviours. Success in this role also entails ensuring our IT systems maintain the highest standards of excellence, delivering accurate and timely financial performance insights. You will be a qualified accountant with exceptional strategic and operational experience. You do not necessarily need to have prior international development experience, although you will need to demonstrate that you can build effective working relationships with overseas counterparts. Experience of working within a complex fundraising environment would be highly advantageous though.  For this role, we are also as keen to hear from experienced directors who are excited by what we do as we are from those for whom this would be their first senior leadership role.
