The purpose of the role is to utilise effective and efficient administrative and fundraising skills to assist in delivering both financial and non-financial targets which will provide a gateway to all fundraising activity across Maggie’s. 

As Centre Fundraiser, you will assist the Centre Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy to deliver income targets through proactive donor recruitment and excellent donor care.  

This includes supporting and retaining existing supporters and researching new key relationships with individuals as well as partnerships with local businesses, groups and associations.  

You will represent the work, vision and purpose of Maggie’s whilst supporting the delivery of local and central fundraising initiatives and campaigns. This includes presentations, face to face, telephone and written communications.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as frequent local travel.

We are looking for a Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant to provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints including face to face, over the phone and via written correspondence.

About the role

The RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch is seeking to increase its fundraising activity in order to secure the funding neccessary to completely rebuild the York Animal Home. We are looking to bring on an experienced individual to design, launch and lead our capital campaign and raise the remaining funds needed to complete the project.

The Capital Campaign Lead will take overall responsibility for planning, leading and delivering the £5m capital appeal over the next few years. This includes developing the case for support, managing campaign phases, cultivating major donors and funders, and ensuring strong governance, reporting and stewardship throughout the campaign.

The York Animal Home was built in 1980 and no longer meets modern welfare, licensing or operational requirements. Demand for our services is rising sharply, while the complexity and scale of cases continues to grow. We are at the point where our current animal facilities do meet our needs and have been working to redevelop the site and build new modern facilities.

We have received planning permission and are in the process of finalising the designs prior to construction beginning this year.

We expect Major donors, high-net worth individuals and corporate partnerships to make up the main elements of the fundraising campaign, so are looking for individuals with a proven track record of raising large sums in these areas.

• Work closely with the CEO and Management Team to develop and implement the charity’s fundraising strategy
• Develop income to an annual agreed target to support the Hub’s charitable activities through trust and other grant making bodies, statutory funding opportunities and corporate sponsors
• Undertake systematic research to identify potential income generation and funding opportunities
• Identify, develop and lead on priority fundraising projects and new sources of income
• Prepare attractive and compelling project-funding proposals and applications to grant-making trusts, the Lottery, UK companies, corporate supporters and other project funding sources, ensuring the potential of these sources is fully maximised
• Prepare attractive and compelling statutory funding applications and tender bids
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify innovations and ideas for fundraising bids
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Hub’s activities and an understanding of the income generation and funding opportunities they create
• Contribute to the consistent brand communication throughout all fundraising and income generation activities
• Represent the Hub at external meetings and events as required
• Maintain meticulous records, including maintaining the fundraising and income records on targets and approaches
• Provide and produce relevant reports to the CEO on the Fundraising Strategy, including performance indicators to enable the Hub to assess the effectiveness of the strategy and ensuring results are carried forward in subsequent fundraising plans
• Share knowledge of projects and developments within the organisation
• Promote the work of the Hub to a wider external audience including on social media, in collaboration with other staff, as appropriate
• To work as part of a team that is always open, honest and supportive of each other.

Requirements

• Existing network in Trust and Foundation fundraising desirable
• Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies
• Successful track-record of working with appropriate trusts, grant making bodies and statutory funding opportunities
• Experienced of securing partnerships with corporate sponsors
• Proficient researcher

Senior Community and Events Fundraising Officer

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week.

Location: London, UK. 

Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% (2 days) of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. About the team:

This role is in the Community, Events and Education team who sit within the Mass Engagement department. The team manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising and engagement activity ranging from challenge events, our partnership with Glastonbury festival to a busy community fundraising programme, our volunteer Speaker Network and an education engagement programme.

The team delivers far more than income by deepening the engagement of new and existing supporters and raising awareness of WaterAid’s work. 

About the Role

The Senior Community and Events Fundraising Officer is responsible for managing fundraising partnerships with small and medium-sized enterprises, including developing new business opportunities and creating stewardship journeys for employee fundraising. The role also manages WaterAid’s corporate events such as WaterAid’s Dragon Boat Race, working with choir groups to fundraise as part of the Sing for Water event, and stewards the 4Water volunteer network. 

In addition, the role supports the delivery of WaterAid’s virtual fundraising products, including Walk for Water, Just Water and Swim Marathon. This includes delivering excellent supporter journeys and developing fundraising resources to effectively steward and engage these audiences.

To be successful, you’ll need:

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive fundraiser with experience in community, events and corporate fundraising. You will have:

• At least 4 years’ experience working within a community and events fundraising team, with responsibility for corporate or SME fundraising and employee engagement, events management and delivery, and fundraising product development. 
• Experience of managing budgets, analysing data, and reporting on performance.  
• Experience of working on virtual fundraising products.  
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire supporters and communicate the impact of their support.

LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people.  The Fundraising & Marketing Team at LGBT Foundation is a small yet collaborative group of professionals. They are dedicated to advancing the visibility and impact of the UK’s leading health and wellbeing charity. The team is responsible for implementing wide-ranging fundraising, communication, and marketing strategies. By leveraging various channels such as email marketing, the organisation’s website, video, social media, OOH advertising and traditional media, the team strives to support the national visibility, brand awareness, impact storytelling and income generation of the charity by attracting, engaging and stewarding a growing supporter base.   LGBT Foundation’s Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor will work with fundraising & marketing colleagues to deliver against strategic objectives and achieve in-year financial targets, significantly increasing income and support, specifically from corporates, individual giving (donations), legacies and fundraising events. In this role as a Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor, corporate partnerships (attraction, engagement, and retention) will be a priority, ensuring members see the value in our offer.   

You will also work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to shape four individual giving campaigns a year and two legacy awareness campaigns a year. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to keep fundraising information on webpages and social channels active, ensuring regular promotion of charity challenges and shaping digital mobilisation efforts which will build the charity’s supporter base, attracting more new donors.   

You will support regular reporting on performance towards financial targets, working closely with colleagues to reconcile income, ensure Salesforce records and reports are up-to-date and that integrations support automated data flows.
