The Rough Sleeping Prevention Project (RSPP) works across Islington and Lambeth and provides a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough.

What you'll be doing

In the role of a Support Assistant (known internally as Hub Assistant), you'll jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and to provide basic support and advice to clients. You will also be the first point of contact for clients and visitors and coordinating the Health and Safety within the service. 

In this vital role, it is essential that you are flexible to work on the weekly rota to ensure services are accessible to those who are homeless, at the time they most need our support.

Working days are Monday – Friday. Exact hours to be agreed upon.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Events Assistant to support the planning and delivery of ABN’s events programme. This varied and rewarding role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in events and stakeholder coordination within a national medical membership organisation. The ABN is the professional body for neurologists in the United Kingdom. Our mission is to support neurologists to improve the lives of people with neurological conditions. We do this by connecting the neurology community, advocating for high-quality services, and promoting excellence in education and research. The ABN is a dynamic membership society with over 2000 members, working hard to raise the voice of neurology at a national level.

About the role

This role supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of ABN events such as conferences, webinars, and training sessions, ensuring smooth logistics for both virtual and in-person activities. Key responsibilities include managing delegate and speaker administration, maintaining accurate event records, preparing event materials, and handling post-event feedback and reporting. The position also provides general administrative support, assists with website updates, sponsorship information, and CPD requirements, while ensuring accurate membership and event history records are maintained.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

Essential 

• Previous experience (voluntary or paid) in an administrative, customer service, or eventsrelated role.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator (written and verbal), with a polite and professional manner
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and respond calmly to deadlines
• IT literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and online platforms (e.g. Zoom, Teams, EventBrite)

The Department

The Hurlingham Club Foundation was established in 2021 and its mission is to harness the collective strength of the Club to create spaces and opportunities that improve the health, well-being and social connection of people living in underserved areas of our borough.

The Role

As the Foundation Assistant, you will be a vital part of this small, friendly team to ensure that we manage all our events and programmes to raise the most amount of money and deliver maximum impact for people in need in our community.

You will work part time; ideally 20 hours over four days from Monday to Thursday.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Hurlingham Club Foundation in a variety of ways.

Typical duties will include:

Event Coordination

· Supporting the planning and delivery of Foundation events.

· Managing logistics including room bookings, catering, AV, guestlists, security passes and event materials.

· Ensuring events run smoothly from setup through to delivery.

Administration & Finance

· Maintaining accurate records and financial administration.

· Supporting the processing of purchase orders, income and invoices.

Data & CRM Management

· Maintain donor, volunteer and programme databases.

· Support monitoring and reporting of Foundation activity and impact.

Communications & Marketing Support

· Assisting with the website updated and digital content.

· Supporting with and creating presentations and marketing materials.

· Helping to manage and catalogue Foundation photography assets.

Programme Support

General Support

· Managing Foundation inbox enquiries.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Assistant Site Manager in the South East (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire). The role forms part of the Southeast Region’s Operations team and involve working closely with the two Site Managers responsible for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The Role:

• To assist in the delivery of landscape management works by supporting the management of site-based contracts, supervising contractors, managing and working alongside volunteers.

The Candidate:

We are looking for candidates who have the following:

• You’ll have practical experience of land-based management in the forestry or nature conservation sector.
• Proven experience of community engagement and managing strong, inclusive relationships with volunteers to deliver effective engagement activity, ensuring best practice and safeguarding.
• Proven experience of contractor work, including having worked as a land-based contractor or working with external contractors, with an understanding of contractual requirements and site standards.
• Experience in being results focused - self-motivated, flexible and well organised, you will be able to demonstrate experience of prioritising and meeting targets to tight deadlines. You will have a ‘can do’ positive approach and be comfortable working independently and remotely, and able to respond and resolve to any site-specific issues as and when they arise, promptly.
• You’ll be IT literate, with MS Office experience, and proficient in the use of Apps on mobile devices.
• Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to represent the WT, both internally and externally, in a professional, competent and positive manner.
• Qualified to HNC / Level 4 in forestry, countryside management, or a related field, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant professional experience.
• A full driving licence and the ability to undertake regular travel across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and other parts of the Southeast region.

About the Role

Duties and key responsibilities

Fundraising Support

• Provide administration and operational support across the fundraising team.
• Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising enquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support, guidance and thanking donors and fundraisers.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to supporters.
• Support challenge event fundraising by stewarding fundraisers, providing logistical support and administrative duties.
• Support the delivery of community campaigns, concentrating on the innovative fundraising elements, and providing stewardship to fundraisers.
• Support the planning and delivery of campaigns and special events and provide on the day support.
• Provide research support across the whole fundraising team, which may include researching corporates, trusts and foundations and community fundraising opportunities.
• Keep up to date with the work of the charity and communicate this to supporters in a compelling manner.
• Represent Sarcoma UK at events as required.

 Administrative Support

• Monitor the fundraising section on Sarcoma UK’s website, ensuring all fundraising pages are kept up to date and relevant.
• Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
• Work with the database and fundraising teams to evaluate and analyse fundraising activities. 
• Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general office and digital administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.

 Stock and Online Shop

• Monitor Sarcoma UK’s online shop, and ecommerce platform. Ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
• Assist with maintaining external storage unit and keeping records of the contents.
• Liaise with suppliers, process orders, and ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
• Research and create new merchandise and fundraising materials, keeping up to date with new trends and ensure offering is fresh and innovative.

Other

• Maintain accurate and up to date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• To undertake all duties in line with the Sarcoma UKs policies, procedures and regulations ensuring that the work.
• The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

As the Hospice develops our community engagement and supporter base, we are looking for an ambitious Supporter Development Manager to help build sustainable income and partnership relationships to support the Hospice into the future.

This is a key role within the Income Generation team.  You will take ownership of a defined geographical area across South Warwickshire and become the Hospice’s visible ambassador, focused on building sustainable support pipelines across communities, businesses and individuals.  You will work closely with colleagues across the Income Generation team, including retail, to support events, campaigns and supporter engagement to maximise opportunities and build joined-up supporter journeys.

You will be a confident relationship-builder, with experience of developing fundraising or partnership opportunities across local communities.  Your work will help ensure that more families across South Warwickshire can access compassionate hospice care when they need it most.

The Shakespeare Hospice provides compassionate care and support to people across South Warwickshire facing life-limiting illness.  Every year, our services support hundreds of people through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and bereavement. 

Salary: £36,220 rising to £36,720 after successful completion of probationary period

An exciting opportunity is now available at Crantock Drive for a Service Coordinator offered either as one Full-Time position or 2 Part-Time positions. 

This role is to help shape, inspire and lead a team as well as positively impact and make a difference to the lives of the people we support. 

Working with individuals with learning disabilities we are a busy 8 bed residential service. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, to adapt quickly and lead a diverse team in different and challenging situations.

We are looking for someone who is organised, pro-active, can multi-task and work on their own initiative, proficient in IT systems (or quick learner!), as well as working in a person-centred way.

The successful Service Coordinator will include overseeing care packages for the people we support (liaising with professionals and families, creating and updating support plans and risk assessments, etc), line managing staff (including but not limited to supervisions, role modelling, wellbeing check-ins, following policies and protocols, etc,).

You would be working as part of a small team where good verbal and written communication is essential. Other essential skills include the capacity to work within professional boundaries, yet meet individuals with empathy, and the ability to have difficult conversations while creating good working relationships with colleagues.

The position is full time, worked over 5 days and will require you to work regular weekends. You will be based at Crantock Drive, however an element of the position will require you to be able to get to other locations for training, meetings, etc.

Experience in a leadership role is not essential; if you have the skills identified within our advert to bring to the post, you will be considered. Support and training will be available.

Archdeacons are called to share in the mission of the church, exercising their ministry in close collaboration with the Bishop. They play a significant role in the recruitment, oversight, support, discipline, and pastoral care of the clergy. They also play a key role in strategic planning, managing conflict, encouraging stewardship and responding to safeguarding issues, alongside exercising their legal responsibilities.

The Archdeacons’ PA will need to have a high level of hospitality, a friendly and engaging telephone manner, and excellent people skills. The PA manages many interactions with clergy and parishes and is often the first port of call with the wider Diocese.

With a close eye for detail they provide administrative support to the archdeacons, managing their diaries, project managing events, ensuring processes work effectively, writing or acting on their behalf, and providing the information and support they need to carry out their work effectively and in a timely manner. 

They need to take the initiative and be proactive in finding creative solutions to a range of issues. An ability to prioritise will be essential.

The ability to take initiative and be proactive is a key skill for an archdeacons' PA, as is flexibility, as the workflow is not always consistent, and the two archdeacons at different times have different demands. The PA is part of the Kingston Area Team, consisting of the Bishop of Kingston, his Chaplain, the two Archdeacons, and the two PAs and so must be an exceptional team player.

 While experience of church life - particularly in the Church of England - would be an advantage, the ability to learn and be empathetic are the key strengths the PA needs.

The Geological Society Publishing House has an exciting opportunity within our publishing team to provide wide-ranging administrative support for editorial development team activities and project work. Utilise Editorial Manager and online content platform systems to support provision of guidelines for contributors and setting up of new titles and collections.

Editorial development:

Wide-ranging support for staff and activities, to include:

• Support for commissioning processes, to include:
  • Research and data collection
  • Profiling online sources such as conference schedules, departmental websites …
  • Identifying and collecting contact details for potential leads
  • Use of bibliographic databases such as Dimensions (for data collection)
  • Reporting (data collection and compilation): annual reports, reports for partners, read and publish usage, Top Reviewers, and others
• Support for meetings of Editorial Boards and Publication and Information Committee: coordinating meeting dates, compiling meeting papers and resources, recording meeting minutes
• Gathering feedback from external collaborators, including administration of editor surveys
• Proposal review process for new books and thematic collections: researching and inviting reviewers and collating comments from reviewers and editors

Editorial projects and resources:

• Coordinating the process for contracting new book volumes, in collaboration with Books Commissioning Editor
• Setting up new book volumes and journal thematic collections via Editorial Manager system and Lyell Collection online platform
• Support the provision of editor training on use of EM, in collaboration with Publishing Coordinators and Journal Development Editor / Commissioning Editor
• Support maintenance of online guidelines for editorial contributors via Publishing Support Hub, in collaboration with Pub Hub Advisory Group
• Ad hoc support for copyright permissions process, including liaising with authors towards clearing figure and personal communications, as required
• Market research and data collection for editorial projects. Examples may include AI for publishing, research integrity, tenders and proposals, new partnerships (books)

General:

• Support for Editor and Authors newsletters – coordinating schedule and content, liaising with editorial and marketing colleagues
• Any other tasks that can be reasonably requested

What we’re looking for …

• Educated to A-level or degree level
• Good IT proficiency (particularly spreadsheets) and full familiarity with the normal range of office software
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
• Some general knowledge of, and interest in, the publishing process would be helpful
